Yea that’s not a problem I just meant standard as in no archetypes I’m building her as an unchained summoner and she’ll be done tonight.

I see where the wording is a bit iffy, but I had to clarify because it refers to "only one summon monster spell", and the higher-level versions of summon monster let you bring out multiple creatures with only one casting. Since you can have an eidolon out and still get to use the SLA once, that could mean some serious headaches at higher levels.

I hope that makes more sense of where I'm coming from.

Ahh I misread that I can make her as a standard summoner and make it easier if you’d prefer.

A master summoner can only bring one summoned creature in while the eidolon is out so at most it would be two.

Hello this is Havoc’s wife reporting in. I’m working on a summoner naked Saoirse with an azata eidolon with the serpentine type named Cuelebre. Basically a lillend azata wielding a longbow as its weapon. Saoirse with be a buffer for the most part and Cuelebre is ranged combatant. She is a master summoner so she can still use summon monster even with her eidolon out.

History:
Sylvia was born to an elven father and a human mother. She was the youngest of three children and the only girl.
Her mother Ailis Galicia was an eccentric lady having once worked at a brothel to serve as inspiration for a collection of paintings she created in a span of a few weeks. Having come from a Varisan bloodline, she took on the burden of being a “wandering star”, searching for a place she could finally settle in. This call to travel prompted her to abandon the brothel and move on to new places. Being a follower of Desna, she felt as though her goddess was leading her down a path with a purpose or calling. It was during her wandering that she would meet Rowan. Little did she know he would become her husband or that she would be what saved his life.
Ailis came into Rowan’s life after being excommunicated by his family for challenging their matriarch. Before being banished from his home, Rowan was a great scholar and excellent swordsman. He had to leave behind an extensive collection of knowledge that he cherished greatly, but managed to take his two favorite swords. Having no home to go back to, he felt as though he lost his purpose and planned to kill himself. On the night he was about to jump from a bridge, Ailis happened to be painting near by. Her art caught his eye immediately. He felt her passion with each stroke and the freedom of her rich pallet. Before he knew it he was standing next to her talking about her work in progress. After a few months of spending time with her, they wed. As a sign of leaving his old life behind, he took her last name and in a way assumed a new identity. He adopts a new faith in Desna and devotes his new life to the goddess. Five years and three children later, this unusual couple would come to settle in Magnimar.

Here not only will Sylvia be born, but also meet her future husband. A few days after her birth, Ailis sent Rowan into the local forest to gather wild mushrooms for dinner that night. Whilst gathering, a butterfly fluttered around his head then drifted down an old trail. Rowan felt compelled to follow. It wasn’t long until he spotted a small bundle tucked under a raised tree root. Seeing the dark complexion he knew immediately what he was encountering. Inside the bundle was a crying half drow. His skin was not pure black like others of his kind. The baby boy had skin the color of storm clouds with a patch of white hair on his crown. His scarlet eyes peered back into Rowan’s lavender ones. There was a look to them that Rowan knew all too well. It was a mixture of abandonment, rejection and hurt. With burning tears he gathered the child in his arms and with a determined stride he took the baby home. He knew in his heart, Desna was calling him to pay the kindness of his wife forward by sparing the infant’s life.

Ailis fell in love with him immediately and named him Ascherion. He was a stark contrast to Sylvia. Her skin was pale like her father’s, eyes green and hair black like her mother’s. Growing up they were inseparable. Rowan and Ailis were very loving parents that enjoyed teaching their children all they knew.

Sylvia loved art, but her true passion was knowledge. She inherited her drive to learn history and culture from her father. Growing up she enjoyed visiting markets with her mother to sell art and retiring to an evening of watching her father teach Ascherion the sword. Rowan loved teaching him the many intricate sword forms and “dances”, and Sylvia loved to watch. Her older siblings were always either disinterested or ashamed of their father. Sylvia grew to resent them deeply as she watched sting of rejection break their father’s heart. With this she vowed to fully embrace anything her father desired to teach her with a fierce passion.
Sylvia loved visiting the city’s library and temple. There she would study for hours and on occasion sneak into closed rooms to read through old texts. Ascherion was often tasked to stand guard while she sorted through countless scrolls. She would sometimes smuggle them out, painstakingly copy them by hand, then return them the following week. Once she was caught by her father, but after a minute of scolding began to laugh and told her to make sure she didn’t get caught and to always return whatever she takes. Sometimes when Rowan felt adventurous, he would join Sylvia and Ascheron on their weekly “runs”.
Sylvia secretly studied about Asherion’s drow heritage and hoarded anything she could on the subject. It was her only secret that she kept from him until one fateful day.
It was an ordinary day out in the market when a merchant accosted Ascherion about his appearance calling him, “a filthy drow”. Ascherion was confused and before he could ask Sylvia what that meant, the merchant drew a sword. After a quick duel that ended with an injured merchant and Sylvia dragging a raging Asherion away, she finally revealed his heritage to him.
That evening Rowan sat down with him and further explained why drows were hated by some.
Sylvia knew that Ascherion needed support more than ever and knew that as a half elf, she was the only one in his life that could truly understand him. This was the catalyst for their romance. They relied on one another and drew closer. For years they traveled to nearby cities or towns to observe festivals. They visited temples dedicated to Desna and explored countless libraries. She approached each location with reverence and with a hunger to learn. She loved her travels with Ascherion so much that after each trip, she would tattoo a star on her chest to represent that journey. Before long she bore constellations across her chest, neck and arms. Her excitement was so, that her hands would tremble and the scent of parchment would send her heart aflutter.

One day she realized she felt that same sensation for Asherion. She knew then her true passion wasn’t scroll picking; it was him. He had always been her passion, her drive. She just hadn’t realized this sooner. It was shortly after this revelation, they married. Their ceremony was a beautiful celebration at a temple of Desna. As a wedding gift, Ascherion gave her a young fox she named Magosto, after an ancient Autumn festival. They planned a honey moon to Sandpoint in order to witness the dedication of a temple to their goddess followed by the swallowtail festival.

About me:
I am an artist, animal lover, nature lover, creative writer (was published in the Yddrasil web magazine),angler, culture lover, history lover and fascinated by all things strange. I was born to a Spanish mother and American father. Growing up I was caught between two cultures and always felt like an outsider. Because of this I tend to write characters that are outsiders, eccentric or of mixed heritage as a way to further connect with them. I always put real faucets of my personality into their history as well.

I have been playing pbp since roughly 2008. My favorite game and character would have to be my character Livain from Legacy of Marianasu. When playing I tend to describe what my characters not only feel, but smell, taste or hear as well. I feel like this brings the reader deeper into the mind of my character.

Livana came from humble beginnings being born the only girl to a family of eight. Her family was comprised of a somber blacksmith father, a quiet mother consumed by stress, four older brothers who were trying to find their way in the world and a twin brother, Rowan. She and Rowan were the last children born and shared a strong bond. Even their appearance set them apart from the rest of the family, taking after their great grandfather who was raven haired, green eyed with pale skin. This of course made people suspicious of their mother; birthing rumors of infidelity due to the rest of the members having red hair and teal eyes. Unfortunately resentment and embarrassment brewed into the hearts of their older siblings and they soon withheld any little affections they had for the twins. This further distanced Rowan and Livana from the rest of the family. Rowan was the only one to make time for her in this large family and was not just a brother but a wonderful friend. Being the youngest of the six children, Livana’s father saw no value in educating the twins in smithing. For a while the twins would sneak to the smithy and watch their father work. They listened to their father while he taught their older brothers the art of forging. How wondrous it was to command metal to obey your hands and to create things much like a sculptor or a painter. Quickly they became enamored with the art of metalworking. Livana especially took interest, creating small knives from large nails whenever her father stepped out of the forge for his mid-day meal. Over time her handy work improved and was tempted with a new endeavor.

After watching their father and older brothers working in the forge for a while, they decided to sneak in one night and try their hand at making a sword. Things turned out terribly as Rowan burned his left cheek by accident and screamed into the night. Of course they were caught and told not to bother learning because “this wasn't for them”. In a fit of rage their father said something both irreversible and damaging. With a low growl he muttered, “you two aren't meant for much more than cleaning and farming. The gods spat on me when they gave me you two.” This ignited a spark in Rowan to fight for a better life for he and his sister. This night served as the great catalyst for their new life. Rowan and Livana would not accept this fate spoken over them by their father and decided to pursue their own dreams. Dreams not dictated by the pathetic wishes of another. They spent their time out of sight and out of mind, perfecting the art of invisibility in plain sight. Each day Rowan and Livana would disappear into the neighboring forest to play out fantastical adventures of magical and distant worlds. They brought their hound, enough scraps of food for each of them and a large imagination. Just two kids trying to rise above what the stars had written for them.

As fate would have it, Livana was tasked with cleaning the hen house and Rowan was to catch fish for supper one morning. While Rowan was fishing he met another boy the same age as himself. He learned that his name was Raphael and that he too longed for a life of adventure. Rowan told Livana of his encounter at the brook and later introduced her to his new friend. Soon Rowan, Raphael and Livana formed an inseparable band of friends braving the woods each afternoon in search of new and unexplored places. They created small adventures in hopes of preparing to one day go on a great journey full of vibrant stories and experiences. They wanted to create history and a name for themselves that would never be forgotten.

Seasons changed and they blossomed into young adults. Livana began to develop feelings for Raphael and Rowan became like a brother to him. The three were strong and full of life. Their adventurous spirit was brighter than ever. Over the years the three would sneak into taverns and listen to the wild tales spun by travelers and outcasts about the creatures they'd encounter. They learned of vampires, lycans, and the people that hunted them. Their dreams grew bigger and more daring as they decided to set off to find one of these fantastical creatures they heard so much about. They wanted to know if the stories were true. Little did they know that they would bite off more than they could chew. With bags packed, cloaked in their warmest apparel and armed with homemade daggers they took off on their first great venture.

The first day into their journey went smoothly, that was until the sun began to sink behind the distant hills. Livana still remembers the crimson sunset that painted across the sky. The air became cold around the three and the moonless night drew near. The sky wasn’t a warm ,soothing blush like most sunsets, but rather the color of spilled blood. The forest grew silent around them. No nocturnal birds called into the night nor did any foxes scurry about. Although the air around them grew frigid, no wind swayed the branches above. Shadows grew tall and darkness flickered about as if alive. They quickened their pace into the forest in hopes of stumbling upon an abandoned dwelling to take shelter. They knew where one might be and decided to take a small trail to it. With the small hovel in sight they felt relief, but it quickly faded. They were met by an unholy creature cloaked in darkness save a pair of glowing white eyes. They gleamed in the light of their lanterns and reflected pure malevolence. The putrid stench of decay and stale blood surrounded them. Livana averted her eyes only to be greeted by the terrible sight of destroyed animals, possibly farm pigs. Upon closer inspection she realized that the smooth pale skin did not belong to animals. No, they belonged to something more familiar. They belong to men, women and children that were collected as food for this...thing. She sucked in a breath of rotten air and felt her heart skip a beat. Nothing could have prepared her for this. Nothing. She remembers gripping her dagger only to feel no comfort from it. She reached for Raphael’s hand slowly and gripped it tightly. It moved closer to them in jerky movements that resembled human motion, but twisted. It’s eyes never left the three as it stared them down with predatory malice. The head on this creature would bob from side to side as if assessing the inferior beings before it. Suddenly a voice broke the silence as abruptly as a mirror shattering in a quiet room. It spoke to them. It’s voice was cold and void of any true emotion. It mocked them by repeating Rowan’s last words before their encounter. “Look guys, the hovel is straight ahead! Were safe”. The creature repeated the phrase several times; first in Rowan’s voice, then slowly it’s own inhuman one. The creature then let out a ghastly shriek and sinister laugh. The laugh was a mixture of an old woman’s cackle and the wailing of wounded animal. Livana choked back a silent sob while her fingers gripped Raphael ever tighter. It stayed just outside the edge of the lantern lights to conceal itself from being fully viewed. The silhouette of a clawed hand emerged from what they assume was a black cloak. The hand lingered in the air and time stood still as the three were transfixed by the stare of specter before them. The hypnotic voice repeated the words “we’re safe...” one more time. That was when it happened. The creature suddenly swooped an arm around Rowan and in one swift movement jumped up into the tree tops. It bounced from tree to tree carrying the screaming young man far away until the screams faded to silence once more. With shaky legs and quivering voices, Raphael and Livana ran into the direction Rowan was being carried to. The pair cried out to Rowan for a response, anything to let them know he was alive. The two returned to where the hovel was and took shelter in the night. Neither one spoke. It wasn’t until the sky filled with a ripe sun that they emerged from their temporary dwelling. It was incredible how one night could season and weather a pair of nineteen year-olds. They returned to town and sought out the travelers that conversed in the taverns. It was there they learned that they had met a vampire. They listened to the stories from an old man in particular that would end up being their trainer. From that moment on the two dedicated their lives to learning about vampires and hunting them down.

Raphael and Livana were married in mid autumn the following year of Rowan’s disappearance. After the abduction, Livana realized that there was only one person she loved more than her brother, which was Raphael. She never thought she could love anyone more than Rowan but she was wrong. The thought of losing Raphael became more painful than the loss of her brother. They pledged their lives to each other and to finding closure for their dear Rowan. They trained for years, adopted the faith of Pharasma, and occasionally joined small groups of vampire hunters to take down vampires that were terrorizing small villages. Within time their confidence grew and so did their hunter group’s notoriety. Soon they were contacted by various villages to eradicate the vampire pests that were plaguing their people. It was on one mission that Raphael and Livana were confronted by some thieves that were in the midst of hassling a man on his horse. After overcoming the band of thieves quickly, they learned that the man they saved was none other than Professor Lorrimor. They accompanied the man to his destination and had the privilege of listening to his teachings. They traveled together for a whole week and the Professor grew fond of the couple. They listened to him and actually took interest in his theories and studies. Once they arrived to their destination, they parted ways with Professor Lorrimor but not before Livana gifted him a dagger. She hoped that the dagger could protect him from any future troubles he might encounter during his commute between towns. This seemed to touch Lorrimor deeply as he gave her a tight hug before going on his merry way. A year later the couple heard of the Professor’s passing through a letter that had arrived a couple weeks late. They hurry to Ravengro in hopes of paying their respects to the late Professor Lorrimor.

Fluff:

Riya was born to Baron Acteon Vlahos and Baroness Kassia Vlahos as the sixth child. She was often overlooked by her mother, and very little was invested in her. Her father doted on her and would always tell her she was "the most beautiful girl". Being the only girl born to a family of all males, she became competition to her mother. As she began to mature her mother became exceedingly jealous of her beauty and grew cold towards her. Kassia would try to isolate her as much as possible, making rumors of how unruly she was.

Riya was lonely most of the time until her father gave her a dog as a gift for her 12th birthday. The dog was an ordinary hound with droopy eyes and a limp. Riya named her Gyssa and saw her as the most beautiful creature she had ever beheld. Gyssa became her best friend and family. Kassia detested Gyssa and called her "an ugly mutt" just to make her daughter upset. Riya would always try to ignore her mother's words and tried to keep her happiness with Gyssa bright. But Kassia had other plans and happiness was not part of them. One day Kassia grew impatient with Riya for running late and struck her in the face repetitively with a wooden spoon. Gyssa jumped in front of Riya protectively and bore her teeth. Kassia grew enraged and killed Gyssa before Riya's eyes. She lied to Acteon claiming the dog tried to attack both of them. Riya buried her best friend that night. Although the rain poured, a fire sparked in her; a spark that soon became an engulfing flame. Feeling the grasp of control on her daughter slip, she started plotting ways to rid herself of the nuisance. Her mother found the perfect solution to restore her matriarchal power and began to manipulated her father by proposing the idea of marrying her off. Her mother began to take a special interest in the daily activities of her daughter, micromanaging as much as she could. Riya's name meant River and her mother often would say to her that "a river must be damed up or it will roll out of control". These words echoed in her mind.

She was seen as an opportunity for political advancement, and was groomed to be the perfect bride. In between her many tiring lessons of sewing, music, and cooking she would secretly take off with a cousin that she considered more of a brother than her own, and learned fencing from his instructor. As she matured into a woman Riya developed a rebellious nature fighting for her freedom in anyway she could. When she turned 18 she snuck out with her cousin to Restov dressed more like a commoner to blend in. One of her typical adventures was to go to a tavern in the lower quarter where there was always a colorful crowd. This time was a bit different. Upon reaching the tavern she was greeted by a young man she later learned was named Azoth, challenging her to a duel. She accepted in good fun, hoping he would be a challenge. She defeated him with ease but saw the great potential he had and struck a deal with him. She saw his hunger to learn the skills of sword fighting matched her own in freedom. If he showed her the city, she would teach him to fight properly.

Riya was instantly drawn to him the moment she laid eyes on him. He was constantly in her thoughts. The way he moved so freely haunted her through the day and she longed to see him again. She continued meeting him at the tavern and going on small adventures with him around town until one night her mother caught her sneaking out. By that point her relationship with Azoth ran deep and the two were deeply in love. As punishment, Riya was told to never see Azoth again. Baroness Kassia knew that Riya would try to see him again and timed her return just right so that her father would see what she had done. Acteon never fully believed Kassia but this event convinced him of his daughter's dishonor and disrespect towards her mother. For the first time in Riya's life, her father turned his back on her wounding her deeply. A marriage was arranged between Riya and the son of a wealthy merchant. An arranged marriage with a man rumored to have killed his two late wives. Kassia's plans seemed to be in motion... Or so she thought.

The night before the wedding, Riya escaped with her beloved cousin Tadin to the tavern with a bag full of her belongings, gold and the Gyssa's collar. She explained to Azoth the situation at hand and he proposed an even crazier idea. Her proposed to her and they were wed that night by a drunken priest of Cayden Cailen with Tadin as the whiteness along with other tavern goers that they knew. Before parting from Tadin, Riya scratched one last message with quill on parchment for her dear mother. "Mother, you could not dam me up. I have overflowed and now flood your lands. I am no longer a river of water but one of fire. You lit me ablaze so now you burn." Armed with her sword, her few worldly belongings and the last words to her mother, she began her journey with her new husband. Riya never imagined that by binding herself to Azoth that she would find great freedom and joy. Together the two travel towards the Stolen Lands carter in hand hoping to start their own lives in a land forged with their own hands.

I have a name now, it's Riya of House Vlahos wife of Azoth.

What are you doing for the traits then, taking out the noble born ones? Or take the one but actually come from an allied house?

Everyone, I updated the Campaign Info for this campaign to include information on the noble houses of Brevoy. In addition to the seven major houses I also included some names on the lesser houses that pledge fealty to the other houses.

Hopefully that will help in creating backgrounds and such.

More info will continue to be added.

Thanks.

Awesome. The flavor is almost enough to want to change my whole story so I'm from one of the houses.
Honestly, I'd prefer people stay away from one of the seven major houses as that can potentially cause problems later. But any of the lesser houses would be great, or a lesser house of your own creation.

So that's to say you don't want me to be from Medvyed?

Im going to be of house Medvyed. Wanting to be free of their adherence to "old ways" she goes to Restov. Where she learns fencing and meets Azoth. It's during this time that her family arranges a marriage for her despite her love for Azoth, but being a commoner it was unacceptable so they eloped and are spending their honeymoon clearing out the Stolen Lands forging their own path.
