Thing to keep in mind.
Any fool can be turned into a Vampire
You have to work long and hard to become a lich.
Vampire need to drink blood to survive so sooner or later a party of adventurers will start hunting you down. A Lich can lay low for centuries in his lair plotting to gain even more power.
Im going to be the lich who lays low and whose evil plans take centuries to unfold.

My thoughts on this
If an Anti Paladin used his fiendish boon to get a Erinyes could he get it pregnant himself? He is evil, she hot and under his control and where do you think Tieflings come from?

In my years of playing I notice its the player playing the class is more important then the class itself.
A Wizard might be be more powerful then a Rogue, but if the player playing the Wizard is a total self centered nitwit while the player playing the Rogue is an intelligent team player , I will take the Rogue any day of the week.

Simple way for the Peasant to win.
Send the knights home.
Then as leader of the 10,000 peasants I approach the 500 Wizards under a flag of truce and tell the Wizards "We are here to swear an Oath of Loyalty and pledge our lives and wealth to the Most powerful Wizard here , which one of you may that be?" .
Sit back and eat popcorn as the Wizards kill each other to prove they are the most powerful Wizard there
Show me a Wizard over 6 level whose ego does not have its own gravitational field.

I once had Sahuagin who sold Boat insurance. One would board a ship under a white flag and then tell the owners, Nice ship you got here , be a shame if something bad happen to it. But don't worry me and my boys from the coral lion family keep the riff raft out of this part of the sea, we see it as a public service. Poop and Urine are valuable products in a pre industrial society.
Poop= both fertilizer, cooking fuel and believe it or not building material. Go look at what they really made a mud and waddle hut the peasants lived in and then you will know why peasants smelled so bad. And urine is used in tanning hides( You also use brains for tanning but that's another story). So you know what that smell coming from Goblin leather armor now is.
An Idea would be have high level magic item require urine then from powerful monster . Send the players out to get a ancient red Dragon to pee in a bottle to make +5 leather armor

For wealth accumulation its easy.
Go where they hold the power ball lottery when its around 100 million or more. Cast prestidigitation so the right balls come out and presto you have the winning number

One of my favorite things I tossed at my players was a Goblin Vampire. They just thought it was a very tough Goblin and where surprised when it followed them and attacked them from behind after they had killed it

Depends. If they are wearing new shoes then they have soles.

Here the thing about cleave.
Not everyone plays at 20 level or even 10 level.
A first level human fighter can take power attack, cleave and great cleave. Real handy when fighting large number of Goblins Kobolds, Skeleton and other low level stuff. Maybe there are better feats at tenth level, but you have to live to get there.
