"And those beards could actually be useful: they're usually used to craft magical armor, but even if we don't use them for that we can sell them! Once we find someone to buy them...or someone at all."

"Well, we'll check this secret hallway, first." Crow chirps (metaphorically) "It's nice to be the only talking bird in the room again."

Crow, on the other hand, tries to focus to hear any other snippets from the cacophony of voices.

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28

I was expecting multiplied damage on a charge, but this development is way better. :P

Even if Zses doesn't comment, Crow clicks its tongue (you are not really sure how that is possible.)
"And we even came here to help save your ally. You are making all the talking ravens here seem unreliables."

"That raven is one of Baba Yaga's allies." the raven says in a calm voice, landing on Zses head "If you do what they ask, they usually help you."

Crow shakes its head.

Birdspeak:
"No, no, we won't take your shiny. Are you one of the Liar Seers? Baba Yaga is in danger, and we want to help her: can you help us? We were sent here by the Black Rider."

The raven says. Even if it was just cawing, the raven felt as if the words were more...clear, in its head.

Know.(Arcana) Zses: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Know.(Arcana) Crow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

I finally get to use speak with animals of its kind!
Crow flutters off Zses' shoulder, landing just next to Percy. After looking at the other raven for a moment, the familiar caws in its direction.

Birdspeak:
"Hello? We mean no harm. What is that orb you are sitting on?"

After Zses leaves the two gnomes, Crow flies off Zses' shoulder and lands near their feet. Strangely, the raven seemed to have changed in the last minutes, and looks at the two and anyone still in the room with now light violet eyes.

The most surprising thing, however, is the bird's shadow: nothing like a raven's, it now looked like the silhouette of a woman, pleading with her hands.
"Please, don't leave him alone." he(?) pleads clearly without cawing or anything of the sort, with a feminine voice.

Instead of going with Zses, Crow rests on the fence near Vashti, the bird's shadow continually warping and changing, without finding a shape. He stares unblinking during the grisly scene, turning to look Vashti in the eyes when she stands back up.

"Witch behind the hut, Red can just go around after wolves are dead. I'll go check." Crow caws, flying in the direction of where the witch escaped, behind the Dancing Hut.

Flying off Zses' shoulder, Crow hovers around the right from which they entered, while conjuring a shower of starry particles on Massilovna.

Mechanics:
Move one big square under where Silence is.
Standard Action: Stardust on Massilovna, 2 to attack rolls and Sight-based perception checks, and can't benefit from concealment or Invisibility. 3 rounds of duration.

Crow, that had been mostly silent since they've got there into the first world, moves his head up and down to nod at Vashti.
"Yeah, you're right." he agrees with Mamushka, the bird's voice pitch changing slightly as he talks "I'm too plain now. Have to step up my game."
Ruffling his feathers, the raven tries to look even more sparkly and glittery than usual.

"Hear that, wagon head? Cover us!" Crow croaks, echoing Vashti.

...Crow, on the other hand, notices the leaking smoke from the pipe. Putting two and two together, the bird ruffles his feathers and flaps his wings, creating an aura of pretty glittery lights around the killer oven.
"Hurry up, it's not going to be sparkly forever!"

Standard Action: Stardust on the hungry furniture. -2 to attack rolls and Sight-based perception checks, and can't benefit from concealment or Invisibility. 5 rounds of duration.

"We're defaulting to no mercy for old ladies next time!"

I love this group. The parallels on what's going on right now are pretty crazy.

Percy and Hobbes getting to know each other
Zses and Allie (Barry white voice) gettin' to know each other
Sigrun and Lyosha (biblical) KNOWing the ##$% out of each other

Poor Silence and Vashti together in their loneliness.

Meanwhile, Ered's busy talking with his sword.

<3:
"Never said he didn't." the bird tries his best at an unsettling grin "Follow me.".
Taking flight, the raven moves in the direction of the rest of the party, stopping periodically on nearby roofs to let the gnome and samukittah catch up.

Killer Horses and Pyro Gnomes:
While Silence is busy talking with the ex-slave, Crow flies down from the nearby roof and lands in front of Percy. "You done killing dogs? We gotta go." the sparkly raven caws at the gnome.

Four?

Pixie Dust!:
Shortly after the gnome scorches the growling overgrown puppy, Crow takes flight and starts circling above Freji. A moment after, the winter wolf is covered by a fog of starry particles that obscures his vision and makes him look like the sparkly tree Silence was about to pounce in the mysterious room with the Eggnog.
After landing back on one of the nearby buildings, Crow stares at Percy and the caturai.
Standard Action: Stardust on Freji. -2 to attack rolls and Sight-based perception checks, and can't benefit from concealment or Invisibility. 5 rounds of duration.

If YBD gives the okay, I can make him sparkle. *.*

@YBD: What about the Stardust thing I asked some post before? Can Crow help?

I don't know what I expected:
Crow sighs as the pyro gnome and disguised cat pick a fight with one of the locals. Still perched on one of the nearby buildings, the raven waits for the winter wolf to get scorched.

That's one funny coincidence:
Not really sure of what was going on, Crow perches on a nearby building to see how the situation would have developed.
Considering the parties involved, "fire" was one of the most probable developments.

@YBD: I remembered a question that I thought about some time ago: during the Christmas event, Crow became a native outsider and got the Stardust shaman ability. I looked back at it and the spelling in that post wasn't clear: was Zses that got the ability or Crow?

I do have a plan to regroup. Being a mostly inconspicous bird has its perks.;)

Slaygon and search:
"Screaming charge it is then." the bird comments, before turning to Zses "I'll go search for Silence and Percy. Look for any angry mob or dimensional tear to the First World."
As soon as they're done talking with the rebels, Crow will fly up to look up for the caturai and gnome around the howling districts, starting with where they left them.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17

Slaygon:
"Do you have a plan for offing him, lady, or are we supposed to charge at him screaming like madmen?" the raven asks bluntly to the unnamed woman.

Lazarus saved me sooo much times. It's hard enough to type with wings!

Are we still in combat?

Slaygon:
Perched on top of Zses' shoulder, Crow looks with unblinking eyes as the goblins attack the party and are swiftly cut down.
He doesn't say a word, just humming to himself as Sigrun charges in the air and starts cleaving gobbos in two.

Leaning towards the guards from Zses' shoulder, Crow stares at them for a moment before his shadow start to shift. "Have we cleared our misunderstanding, humans?" the raven says in his almost-human voice: if he had the required muscles, he'd be grinning right now.

"Really? You guys are sore losers: first you run away because a girl beat you, and now you call friends?" Crow mocks the 'guards', feeling much more talkative than Zses at the moment. The whole "passing as inconspicuous" thing blew up, so no use in trying to pass as a normal, sparkly bird.

In the meantime, Crow tries to look as unassuming as a sparkly talking raven can be.
That is to say, not much.

Yay!

Later, on the slaygon, Crow stares at the gyrfalcons that fly over them.
Hope this guy we picked up isn't going to stab Zses with a fiery scimitar like the last one.

We're missing Mini Allie now!

"Or just keep doing what we've been doing. We're bound to be attacked by something edible sooner or later. And we're attacked a lot." Crow comments. Somehow, it seems the raven is getting better at talking by the day, not without some effort.

Crow, that had been unusually silent after Zses and Allie had been alone the night before, groans loudly at Hobbes's and Lyosha's exchange.
"Less talk on nature of evil, more lackey killing, okay? More worried of bows than puppies." he croaks to the two.

"Told you already" Crow replies to Percy, keeping his voice down "Allie looks less trustworthy to me than Zses. ". The raven pauses, glancing at the pyro gnome and the witch. "He likes her. He won't hurt her. If he's happy, I'm happy too..." Crow starts, before his shadow starts to shift.
"And don't you think it would be better for both of them to have someone, fey child?" the raven takes his more human voice, before grinning. "Look at the bright side: she didn't pick the cat..."
Sense Motive (Take 10): 10 + 2 = 12

At first, Crow eyes Percy warily. The raven knows that the gnome doesn't like him, and that so far she hadn't tried to turn him into a pigeon with chaos magic...but there was a first time for everything.

After a couple of moments, Crow flies to the other side of the slaygon, up on Percy's shoulder.
"Yup?" he asks, this time keeping his 'normal' raven tone.

"...that's a miracle, considering his horrible taste in clothing. He's lucky to have Hobbes's tunic now!" Crow continues, flying off Zses's shoulder, snickering.
Landing on the other side of the Slaygon, the raven turns again to Allie. "No, really. You're very pretty, lady." he croaks happily.

Crow stares at Allie before replying.
He was a little wary of the gnome's outburst at first, but it seemed like she was getting better. And if it made Zses happy...
"Nope." the raven tries to smile with the limited anatomy he had "It was all him!"

Crow's jaw (if he had one) almost drops to the floor. Before he can comment, emotions surging trough the emphatic link between Zses and him almost knock the raven down.

Eying Zses and Allie, Crow smirks.
He wasn't feeling this happy in a long time.

Croak! Croak!

"You didn't call me 'creepy' this time? I'm flattered." Crow replies to Percy, doing the best grin one can do with a beak.

"Worried, fey child?" Crow sneaks up on Percy, sitting on her shoulder, his shadow once again shifting trough different shapes. "I have reservations about your sister, too, but I think we should leave them be." he adds, keeping his voice down to prevent Zses and Allie to overhear what he was saying.
Somehow, Crow's voice sounds more human than the last time he spoke with the chaos enthusiast gnome.

In response at Allie's patting his head, Crow's shadow flickers in and out his normal shape: for a moment, the wing's silhouette takes the appearance of butterfly wings. As best as his beak concedes him, the bird grins, snickering, only to revert back to it's normal form shortly after.

Crow carefully sits on Allie's shoulder, bracing for sudden movements.
And fires. Especially fires.
He really didn't want to join the pile of dead ravens in the stew pot.

"He said my name was funny! Jerk."

Me too!

”Naked girls, subtle emotional and sexual tension in the air, Hobbes with shoes: that's what happened.” Crow says, flying around the room.
