Question, if I cast Divine Trident, would it incur the -4 penalty I currently take to attacks with weapons? It is immaterial and the source of the penalty is discomfort with handling weapons, according to fluff. I suspect close quarters fighting in or future and I'd love to have a weapon that I can effectively wield.
Additional Fluff: You remember the lightning of Imbrex that destroyed Evil Gruff? Ya, it's that.

I think you mean Gozreh's Trident. ;-) If you cast it, it'll take the form of a dire flail but will otherwise be unchanged. Also, according to the creature of the Blackened curse, the penalty's only meant to apply to actual weapons, not spells. Since you don't get your STR-mod to damage, I don't think it has any mass, so you won't take the penalty.

Regarding Oracle-ness
A sudden burst of religious knowledge flooding into a PC's head after a meaningful interaction with a deity? Perfectly acceptable - especially for an Oracle. Divine Protection is one of the few feats I don't really like, but I have no issues with it in this game. We're rather far off the beaten path as is. ;-)

Regarding Tenebrous Spell
This is also probably a good time to mention that Fetchlings are my favorite PC race, Dark Folk are my favorite Bestiary monsters, shadowcasting is one of my favorite systems of magic, and Zses will become rather traumatized very shortly. *evilGMgrin*
