Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Moving forwards and drawing his lightsaber to assist the stormtroopers, Loreck swings for the savage besetting Urirawa, but his powerful overhand swing is clumsy and the Tusken easily avoids it. Spoiler:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 There's no use in emulating the Prince if you don't have the skill... train harder. ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() "Good work Raal," Loreck compliments the Kensae, before placing a hand on the man's shoulder and pausing to say more quietly, "DeWry would be proud." Calming himself and closing his eyes, Loreck reaches out with the force to scour the area around them for more signs of the droids. Taking twenty also, for 26 though. "Sho! Come on, we should go, I sense something is happening out there." ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Quick retcon because I've been slow... -- with Jagilar -- "Filthy vultures," Loreck replies at the mention of rebel x-wings, spitting on the ground, "you truly do the Empire proud sir. Make no mistake - if we ever make if back alive you will be honoured in all our reports. Let's go get those droids." -- cut to the medbay -- "Still not quite fast enough yet are we?" Loreck agrees with Sho as they are treated, "we'll find the droids, and save the Prince. Something inside me is sure he must be alive, I just hope it's the Force and not false hope."[b] [b]"Still learning doc," Loreck answers with a grimace, "we can't all be the Emperor." -- cut to the speeder -- After a rough nights sleep filled with dreams of crashing ships and flashing crimson sabers, Loreck feels somewhat the better for the wind on his face, although the air is still unbearable dry and heat is rising under the twin suns. Everything changes when they reach the Lars homestead though. Things just keep getting worse and worse. More good people lost, the Emperor's family took a hard blow these last two days. "This is a sad day..." Loreck mutters grimly, "but we can't let this slow us down. The Emperor would not want the Lars to have died in vain, find the droid's tracks - or their shells." ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Finally some shade, Loreck thinks, it's good to be out of the sun. The Kensae is exhausted and mildly sunburnt, but personal comfort is nothing compared to what they must deal with now. After getting a drink he heads over to speak with Call's uncle. "The Empire is truly in the Krassus family's debt this day, I believe we still have some that could use some medical attention, but right now what we really need is a way to contact the Empire. Do you know who controls the skies at the moment?" ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Loreck is deathly silent, coming to almost mechanically and immediately busying himself helping out with the preparations. How could everything have gone so wrong so fast? His knuckles are white with tension as he gathers supplies, trying desperately hard inside to temper his aggression, his pure fury towards the traitor Tarkin. He would have his revenge on the man, that time would come, of this he was certain. The Crown Prince... surely he must be dead, nobody could have survived that collision. Nevertheless, his master's had always told him not to underestimate the power of the Force, perhaps just this once he would dare to hope Luke had survived. Hope was scarce out here on the roasting dunes of Tatooine though, it was time they were moving. Shouldering his field kit and protective cloak, the Kensae glances around in search of a chain of command, some kind of semblance of order to cling to. Three Kensae, three troopers, of all of them Raal was the most suited to lead. "We should get moving then, Tarkin could have tracked this pod." ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Anger surges through Loreck as he looks on in shock, helpless to do anything but help everyone onto the escape pod. He can use this anger, it doesn't fuel him but it gives him focus. How can they just leave the Crown Prince? What would the Emperor say when someone had to tell they had left his son on board? Questions for later, now they had to move, the last orders of their valiant leader. As soon is everyone is onto the pod, Loreck slips inside and hits the eject button sending them flying out into space towards the planet below. ![]()

![]() Seeing Urirawa's plan, Loreck recognises the intelligence in it and moves in to assist the Crown Prince, his blade flashing as he limits Starkiller's range of movements. Aid Another Suppressing:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Success, an additional -2 to Starkiller. If Luke is using Djem So shouldn't he have gotten a free attack in return when Starkiller first hit him? That is the whole point of the form. ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Loreck is surprisingly quiet in the face of these rebels, stoic as ever but his zeal silently burning below the surface as the others berate the impudent dogs. He doesn't need to reduce himself to arguing with these scum as though they might have a point, especially not in the presence of the Crown Prince. However, when the new of Tarkin's defection comes through that all changes in an instant - misguided fools are one thing, but Tarkin is a true traitor! "My lord," he begins, addressing Luke directly, "if I may be so bold we must assist Admiral Thrawn. Crash this vessel into the traitorous Tarkin's ship and escape in the corsair, this must not be allowed to come to pass, Admiral Tarkin is one of the Empire's greatest assets." ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Loreck is all focus, the raucous noises of the battle around him filtered out as his vision narrows to a tunnel with his objective at the end. He is the spear of the Empire. Following up behind his wookie companion, he charges the second security door as he powers forwards in order to keep up the momentum of the assault. Spoiler: Move action to move into the corridor, standard to charge the door.

Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Agreed, but your numbers are off on hp. Assuming average rolls and core book con, Luke has between 84 and 92 hp. DeWry is level 12 minimum to be a master, even with 10 con he has at least 90 on average rolls. The real worry is that *we* might not make it, Smerg's plan is a sound one. ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() Yeah, I thought that when I realised the Rebel Elites had +9 to hit, then I realised that no, not everyone else here is Level 1. We have Luke Skywalker man, based on his use the force bonus of +17, minus 10 for training and focus, he has +7 down to CHA and half level. The core book has him at 15 CHA, assuming 16 due to Barcas' variant he's level eight or nine. Which makes perfect sense since eight is when you pick up your first knight level. By the end of Return of the Jedi he's supposed to be level eleven according to the core book. ![]()

![]() Loreck reaches out with the force to feel the presence of the invaders, but is blinded by his passion and his anger at the impudence of this rebels. Barely managing to temper his emotions and force back the dark side, vitality rushes through him as he charges to meet the next rebel, cutting the man down in another powerful blow. Spoiler: Swift action to sense surroundings, move action becomes swift action to second wind, standard to charge Elite Rebel 5 at AR15.

![]() Letting the Force flow through his body once again, Loreck follows up behind Luke also moving with incredible speed, although nothing compared to the Crown Prince. Sliding up against the wall of the room he charges the forward most rebel, scoring a solid hit that passes straight through the man's armour. Spoiler: Use the Force to Activate Surge: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

![]() Loreck resists the urge to swell with pride, his face grim as the reality of what has happened sinks in, many battles await them in the future, and should they falter but once all could come to ruin. "May the Force be with you also Master DeWry," Loreck answers gratefully, before turning and hurrying up to join the boarding party by the security door. Readying himself in a breaching position once again, he awaits the decision between tech or lightsaber to be made, focussing on his connection to the Force as he regains his stamina. ![]()
Male Human Jedi 1
![]() This is their moment, here and now, their time to return all the Emperor has done for them. The life of the Crown Prince, the hope of the Empire, hangs in the balance - only they can save him and everyone on this ship. The last defence of the Empire that is the Kensae. Passion fills Loreck, his exterior passive but inside almost moved to tears by the depth to which his feelings go, to which the Force fills him. Stepping out over the blinking detonator he stretches out with his hand, mirroring Raal as both push the tiny object towards him, the Force shielding Loreck as it takes the blast from Raal. Spoiler: Move to Q14 to shield the blast from the walls and inward to Raal's absorption.
Move Light Object to push the thermal det towards Raal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Use the Force to Activate Force Shield: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Using Force point to boost it by five, three remaining.

![]() A small note from the offical errata of the core rulebook: p. 155 – Area Attacks
So, if we're using that (at GM discression of course) our brave wookie was only hit, but not critted. It's Urirawa's turn since the rebels just went. ![]()

Swift Action to Activate Surge
Use the Force to Activate Surge: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 Standard action to charge Rebel 2, moving to P13 Attack vs Rebel 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 264d8 + 8 ⇒ (2, 8, 7, 5) + 8 = 30 Drawing upon the Force once again, and channelling the harnessed power of his passion for the Empire into the muscles of his body, Loreck leaps forwards in an incredible burst of speed. Streaking down the corridor like a blur he appears before the Rebel Trooper before the man can even react, skidding to a half with twirl, his lightsaber held out to his side. A moment passes, and the man's torso falls away from his hips, the lightsaber having cut straight through him. ![]()

![]() As the last of the rebels fall Loreck nods to Sho in appreciation of his handiwork, he always had been more of a blade master than Sho, but the Kel Dor's true strength lay in his manipulation of the Force. In that respect Sho Larn was significantly ahead of Loreck. Standing to attention with a salute as the Crown Prince joins them, the Kensae follows after their leader to his right, inside a little jealous at Luke's praise for his comrade. As they approach the next door Loreck takes up a similar breaching position to before. ![]()

![]() Spoiler:
Deflect Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 "Yes sir," Loreck answers quietly, before going to silent to focus on the task at hand. In truth the strict procedure and hierarchy of rank is comforting to the Kensae, and he feels a little lost besides Luke's relaxed method of command, but he banishes the uncertainty by concentrating on the imminent contact with the rebels. Moving forwards into breaching position as the corsair's boarding systems dig loudly into the hull of the revel frigate, Loreck stands ready flush against the bulkhead besides the breaching portal, lightsaber in hand ready for combat. Watching as the stormtroopers line up like fish in a barrel behind the door, the man closes his eyes in focus momentarily. Cannon fodder... the front ranks are going to slaughter. Every citizen of the empire is precious, this shouldn't be necessary. The noise of battle washes over him as the airlock opens with a rush, and a few moments after the stormtroopers file through, Loreck steps into the corridor after them. Quickly raising his lightsaber to deflect blaster fire, but not fast enough to avoid a bolt that clips his shoulder causing him to wince at the pain of the burn. Charging forwards in to the fray with a cry, Loreck calls upon the force to aid him, pouring all of his power and passion into the blow. "For the Empire!" Spoiler:
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 1 = 13
Battlestrike: 1d20 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 6 + (5) = 152d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 + (5) = 15 One force point spent, five remaining. The force guiding the silver light of his blade in his Emperor's name, Loreck sinks his blade deep into one of the rebel scum, felling him where he stands. ![]()
