Now, I'm one of those people that comes up with a new game idea once a week, much to the semi-annoyance of my gaming group. Some of the ideas are a bog-standard affair, but some are a little off-the-wall. What crazy/interesting ideas have people had for games? I'll start: - Transformers - The PCs are the maids of a master who is a ex-spy and every intelligence agency seem to want to kill him - Ghost-Busters* - The PCs are Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, and Mike Teavee who return to the Chocolate Factory to have their revenge on Willy-Wonka* *These are game ideas not of my invention, and probably taken from one or many of the podcasts I listen to. Cheers! :D
Hey all, I present you with a slight experiment, With a slight variation on the othe thread "What are you listening to...?", I thought not only would be good if people would say what is their favourite tune/song of the moment and why, but also if people could post links to samples of these tunes/songs to show to everyone what you listen to (rather than just describe it). Without further ado, here's mine: Dreas VS Alex Robert - "Mormugao" (Original Mix)
Cheers! :D
I know no-one (except the playtesters) have ran through this scenario, but I have a question that I would like answering before I purchase it. Perhaps Mr. Helt/ancientsensei could shed some light. ;) A member of our group said in an email, "...while #10 looks to have potential for more of Michal's Cthulhu-D&D-crossover-weirdness". Basically, is this true as I have a reputation to uphold? :)
Cheers! :D
I love the 40k universe.
Well actually, no. I have this feeling that Dark Heresy is only about what the title says - Heresy, and that's it. The PCs go around stopping heretical activity, time after time after time. So what I want to ask you Paizo-goers is: has anyone thought of any other uses for the game-system? A friend of mine mentioned he might like it in a post-apocalyptic setting. What are your thoughts? Cheers! :D
Disclaimer: I'm a complete n00b when it comes to 4e, so I'm sorry if I say anything that sounds stupid. Right, a friend of mine wants to run a few of us through one of the published scenarios (I think the original 4e D&D day one), and asked us what characters we'd like to make. I was unsure, so went away and had a look. My question is this: Is it possible to play illusionists or diviners in 4e? If so, which powers/feat do you recommend for good a roleplaying experience (emphasis on the 'role')? Cheers! :D
In my constant search for a better D&D experience, I have created lots of house rules for my games. As a result, I am interested in what rules people have created for their D&D game. So, post your house rules here. I'll start with a few of mine: Attacks of Opportunity
Movement in Combat
Full-Attacking now allows characters to move upto half their movement at any time during their turn. If the full-attacker kills the enemy in one hit, he can choose to forgo any other attacks and move any remaining movement (upto x1 for the whole round). Ride-by-Attack and similar feats allow a character to Full-Attack and move upto x1 their movement in a turn. Chargers cannot move again after charging. Melodramatic Death
*Another rule similar to 4e death. Cheers! :D
Hello all, I've not been following the discussions in the design forums for a while (the PFS has taken my time at the moment), but I am very interested in seeing what has been decided in the Design Focus threads for each of the classes/races. Are there any final or near-final choices/general agreements that have been made that can be implemented into a PF Beta campaign? I hope I'm not sounding dumb - I do realise we're still in the playtest period. ;) Cheers! :D
Last night, a player in our miniature PFS group was arguing (in a good way I must add) that as the Craft skill is not marked as 'Trained Only' in the PHB, and thus his Dwarf could earn money by carving gems in between PF missions/adventures without having any ranks in the skill. Is this right? My personal thoughts are that you choose your craft when you put in ranks into the skill - without doing so, you are not skilled at crafting. Is it possible to get an official answer to this?
Cheers! :D
Hey all, Just a quick question about the faction feats Is the bonus feat in addition to all the other regular feats you get at level 1? E.g. My character is a human barbarian with the standar P.Att. (human) and Cleave (level 1 PC). Do I get a faction feat in addition to this? Thanks for your help. Cheers! :D
Hey all, I'm new here, and this is my first post, suitably about my new favourite class. Just thought I'd point out a little error to the folks at Paizo: The Sorcerer apparently has Intimidate as a base class skill, but the class skill gained from having Abyssal blood is also Intimidate. Is the Sorcerer meant to have Intimidate as a skill or should this be removed? Or is the Abyssal class skill meant to be different? I don't know if this has been pointed out before. Sorry if it has. Cheers! :D

BACKSTORY Life gives everyone chances, opportunities. Fair chances in most cases, dire ones in others. Well, then if you are born in the lowliest block of Gotham life isn't life.
A talented young lad, a genious you may say, his chance came signed by Wayne's enterprises: a full scholarship to study in a College of his chosing. And boy, did he choose. The MIT nonetheless. But there's no place like home, and when you are far from it you always try to bring it with you. And that's how Kyle and other misfits -if by misfits you mean engineers with too much free time and not so much common sense or respect for authority- started their own monetary endeavour. Some of actual's CIA best hackers and techwizs teamed with Gigabyte and started making fat stacks. We must admit that they always targeted what could usually be acknowledged like Evil Corps, but it was nonetheless digital robbery. They made quite the sum, but life once again presented Kyle with a chance. This time said chance had a name, long legs and an angel's face: Karla Starling, or Karla Knight as she would later be known. Karla guided Kyle out of his criminal lige and into graduating with the highest honors the MIT could bestow. She guided him to the alter, too. Twice, when they baptised their daughter, Katrina. It would seem Kyle's life took aa turn for the best. But as well as xhances, life also provides tragedy. In Gigabyte's case was a fire at work. After the ceiling caved in he was trapped for what semt to be hours in a blazing inferno. Thanks to the firefighters intervention, Kyle survived though not in one piece.
A sum he did not have, as Kyle donated what he stole during his time as a hacker as a mean to 'purify himself'.
Well, little he knew who was the owner of said data... as every hacker worth his name knows that you don't try to get into Luthor's net. Ever. He didn't knew at the moment, though, but when the cops kicked down his door hours later. This is the moment Gigabyte lost it all. His freedom, his company's respect... and most important of all: his wife's trust. He spent five years in Gotham's prison, only exiting the cold, thick walls twice. Once to visit his dying mother and the other to assist his father's funeral, who died on a car accident. This, coupled with the divorce and the phantom pain from his missing arm turned Kyle into a much more introvert man. When he got out he found his life had totally changed. With the little money he had left he moved to Washington, closer to where his ex-wife and daughter were living now and bough himself a laptop. His days went by grieving and thinking of ways to restore himself and his life. And onxe again, but he hoped not the last, life gave him the chance.
But this was only step one of his plans: make money. Once complete he built himself a proper working place and home, complete with a laboratory. And having completed step two he underwent the final step. They were painful months, as the surgery and implants were invasive enough to leave him bedridden for days at once. But once finished he was like new. Better than new. Kyle had only gratitude towards his mysterious saviour, and he wanted nothing but thanking him in person.
COMPLICATIONS Fell in with a bad crowd...
The easy way or the good way.
The Knight family.
The fire... it scares me off.
