For just a moment, he switches the microphone off and turns to T'sai. "Keep the tractor beam on them and the shields up. I don't want anyone transporting over here from that ship." Then he turns the console back on. "My plan was to offer them site to site transport back to the surface or for them to stay on their ship in our tractor until we've got the situation under better control. We don't know enough about the spread of the disease yet to allow you to leave and possibly bring it to other systems. But Amity will be here to help until we have a cure. I'm expecting you, as Federation citizens,to help us all as well." Trying to continue to command/intimidate/persuade the tellarites with Amity's mere presence to help the "negotiation"

If we let them go now, healthy or not, the Captain's quarantine means nothing. As much as I hate to say it, we have to use a heavy hand here to protect everyone. Plot an intercept. I want to get T'sai every advantage we can." He lets out a slow breath. "Ensign T'sai, arm phasers and target their engines. Wait for my command to fire. Put them back on for me." Barstow straightens a bit as the Tellarite Captain's face appears on the viewscreen. "Captain, this quarantine has been put in place to protect the Federation. Breaking the quarantine is a threat to us all at this time. This is your only chance to stand down. Please, do not make me act in accordance to Starfleet protocols and treat your vessel as an enemy of the Federation. I will not message you again." Dismayed, he turns back to T'sai. "Screen off." I'm hoping with Amity's firepower as a backup, Coop can talk him down.
The XO slumps into the Captain's chair. "T'sai, prepare to fire." For the record, I haven't statted up T'sai, just made her up on the spot for a fun segue of someone Coop can't successfully flirt with. If anyone wants to stat up the vulcan ensign and run her at this point- if the Tellarite doesn't blink- she's all yours:) ![]()

Let them know that the planet is currently under quarantine. Ask nicely for us to escort them back to the surface. Stress that we have litte interest in testing out the weapons capabilities of Starfleet's newer, more powerful battleships today." As the XO crosses over to Xin's station, he idly wishes he had a ball to bounce. It always helped with the tension in simulations. "Tactical, I want phasers trained on their engines and weapon systems only. Do not arm phasers until absolutely necessary. Commander Xin? I want the most detailed readout you can get me as to weapons, warp capabilities, defenses, crew. If you can tell me how many hairs or left on her captain's head, so much the better." Barstow takes another step back towards the captains chair and taps Amity's internal Comms. "All hands, Yellow Alert. Shields up." he finishes with a sigh. I'm guessing this is Command and Control for Coop. Just in case I'll roll for Amity's assistance as well, but not sure what-if any of the ship's stats come to bear.

Do me a favor, launch a subspace relay beacon to the outskirts of the system. Until we know more, we should be careful about doing anything that could further affect subspace in this area." "Yes Commander." "Use the relay to contact Starbase 24. I'm sure Admiral Galloway will be thrilled for us to wake him during Gamma to tell him we're quarantining a planet. But let Starbase 24 know we should be letting the Syndicate know too in case that Orion ship really has left the system. Finally, send out a general hail system-wide. Let's see if we can get that orion captain's attention and let him know what's going on." Coop pauses a bit. "Got all that?" "Yes Commander," T'sai agrees, her hands tapping out a symphony on her console as she issues it commands. "You're a good man, T'pri." Coop taps out his own orders on his datapad to call up one of his helm staff to man the Conn. "T'sai. sir." "Yes." If she was human, she would have probably laughed. Probably. "Commander Xin," Coop turns to the efrosian science chief. "Keep an eye out for those Orions. Somehow, I doubt we're out of the woods yet." ![]()

I was really curious to see how STA would transfer to the boards as it's much more collaborative than a lot of other games. I feel like I should probably stat out Olix and I could have used my backup during the chase scene, but that's on me not the game. I think it might help to have a sheet on the G Drive to show where people are or that we should preface our posts with them (ie. Commander Cooper Barstow: Bridge). That will get rid of some confusion that I can see happening. Other than that, carry on! ![]()
