A surprise family weekend is at my doorstep, starting tomorrow evening.
Along with stuff to do this evening, this prevents me from the leisure of going through my chronicle sheets and properly lvl his gear and him by the time Outpost starts.

This leaves me with a predicament. I'd otherwise use a pregen, but.....since playing a non-1st lvl pregen requires the chronicle (assuming the team wins ^^) to go to a lower-than-pregen-lvl PC, i have no regular PC that would see lvl 7 anytime soon.

That gives me the impression it'd be better to vacate my spot for another.

The frontline aspect is a fair point.

An eidolon/summon is more a limited support than a specced PC frontliner.

I hope that number of players changes to 6, tier 7-8 he could cope, but tier 10-11... XD

Chyras has a cajun accent, a bit of a brash personality, but tries diplomacy before force.

Chyras had just enough XP under his belt to remain vanilla when the unchained version came out.

I'll be updating his profile to lvl 7 in the coming days, as 3 levels are from modules credited to him.

Well, i'm focusing on conjuration and anything fun i can get.

Tentacles is for sure a must have.
Swarm of monkeys, stealing weapons, too. :D

Not to forget, more variety with building eidolons.

Chyras is quiet for a second, then a fire of anger is in his own eyes.

"Dat was my best friend you 'urt!"

He clenches a fist as he raises the arm.

A celestial giant ant appears near Hafshi, flanking with Kenji.
The ant makes a bite at the pinned Hafshi.

Bite & smite, flank: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 2 = 21DMg, smite: 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7

I don't know if Hafshi is prone from being pinned, if so, add +4 on the attack for a vs prone.

The wall of fire (circle's line) deals 2d6+CL if a PC walks through it, or upon its initial casting, when it occupies a square a creature is in.
The encircled area, deals but 2d4 to those within, not 2d6+CL.
That's all, you might be mistaking the 2d6 with the 2d4, hence with fire resist 10 i am fine with standing within the encircled area.

Glitterdust put a nice sparkly dye of colors onto your roc's feathers. If you want to dye your bird purple or pink, i propose we wait until we can purchase paint. ^^

We had the opera scene play out with just 1 taking a temporary nap.

Ours has gotten past the Judge unscathed.

I posted my own casting prior to Alanya entering that area, so she wasn't within the burst when it went off.
Also, you already dealt me the firewall dmg before. If i wasn't standing in it before previous round to take it, that's 1 time the firewall dmg less. Within it, i'm fine.

It occurs to me, when Hafshi casted wall of fire, both Chyras and Alanya were not on floor level, but lower down the stairs initially.

I'm at -9. I buffed myself with resist energy prior to going up here.

Alanya might avoid the fire, since she's lower on the staircase.

Chyras grabs his 2nd scroll of resist fire, and casts it on Alanya.

Chyras had cast endure elements earlier, so he would be fine with either heat or cold.]
I see what attack is coming in, and i'm not too enthusiastic about it :P

Since Alanya was summoned only just before we go up here, does she need a save?

Chyras steps back a little, and in whispered words creates an arcane seal on the floor. The procedure takes a minute, but then the seal materializes the form of a young woman.

Chyras takes his time to admire the murals, trying to recognize anything he might have read or heard about.

With the creature from the fiery planes guarding a building, Chyras takes precaution, and reads from a scroll, casting endure elements on himself.

"Devils like warm places, i'm not taking chances."

I'll just spoiler that, if we didn't discover the sorcerer the way we did, he'd conjure a harmless image of a skeletal warrior to try and scare us away, in this room.

Yes, they should have vanished.

If Kenji keeps him pinned, we should be fine.

"Maybe, or 'e could 'old it in place, and if de devil tries anyting smart, your big sword can send it to its masters, and explain its failure."

Chyras softly whistles at the sudden jump & submission grab.

"Now dat's someting new. An impressive action."

"Wouldn't we benefit from questioning dis ting?

"Might want to aim for de 'ead, get it to shut up."

Chyras grins jokingly.

The name was a joke really. Ever seen the UK Robot Wars?
There was a PC game made after it, which i played for a while.
In it, there was a robot named The_Light_Fantastic.
It wasn't anything special at all, like TFF was meant to be.

So, i'm not a dark soul, if you're wondering about that. ;)

Come to think of it, in the game Titan Quest, where Cheiron made a cameo, he was mocked by his fellow centaur, who thought only physical things like war and pillaging counted, and that other pursuits were lame.

Yet in it, he helped the hero/PC with advice and directions.

I've worked, throughout my jobs, with alot of people from different countries. Each of my jobs was in a helping way, either taking things other people couldn't reach in the supermarket, help translate a conversation to solve a misunderstanding between guests of a camping village, giving directions to sights to see as a receptionist.

I think that might have been a reason i chose that name.

Since the Kyras was then taken, i had to switch to the next thing sounding like a K, -Ch-

The GM Chyro thing is just a short for my user alias.

It is webbed/entangled, requiring a DC 12 escape artist, or DC 12 str check to break. Since it's the one webbed, it takes a -4 penalty on the str check, unless it lands for solid footing.

"It's a devil. If it's guarding a temple, i'm betting my chances of dis being a temple of evil."

Who's carrying the oils of bless weapon?
Sele is not going to have troubles with it, but maybe Kenji would like to have it, a monk's fist counts as manufactured weapon for those purposes.

Staying behind the others, Chyras quietly casts guidance on everyone.

"Dem devils are evil. And if evil tings be guarding places we are asked to explore....we'd be doing dis world a favor, non?"

I'd be bad if i didn't. ;)

"Caution be taken. Dis ting is called a Magaav.
A flying devil that can grab you wit its feet while still wielding a weapon. Moreover, it has a bad case of breath problem, nuff to make you vomit."

He looks cautiously at the thing.
"It is sorta resistant against normal weapons, save dose dat are blessed. Also immune to fire, and 'ighly resistant to acid and cold.
One would better focus, spells need some measure of mental preparedness, lest it resist them entirely."

Sele might be having fun if smiting is involved here.
