Backstory: Cathirix spent several years traveling with mercenary companies acting as spiritual adviser, healer, and combatant. Since having nightly visions of fire he believed to be representing eternal conflict he joined the clergy of Our Lord in Iron, Gorum. Using his pay as a mercenary he would buy tomes and scrolls of various faiths and legends in hope of gaining insight into his visions that still haunted him. After participating in a particularly nasty siege of a fortified town Cathirix stumbled upon a cache of scrolls pertaining to Dahak, the dragon god of destruction, and was overcome with a sense of foreboding. That night Cathirix had a dream of the town of Breachill burning to the ground, in the morning he headed straight for the town in search of answers about his dreams. ![]()

I randomed his age so winding up with him at the youngest (normal) starting age makes since with the reckless behavior. Mind also be a good hook for someone within the organization to recognize his potential and try to convince him that outright criminal behavior is too much trouble and there are better uses for his talents (or something like that). I think he could work well with the org but chaff a little under authority. I thinking of going with the bounty hunter archetype (he wouldn't be a bounty hunter per se,qd it's just a chassis), would you allow me to use Slayer Talent to pick up Dirty Maneuvers and Deadly Surprise (using an advanced talent for Deadly Surprise) from the Cad Fighter archetype? ![]()

Cathirix’s search for meaning had led him to the Sword Coast, he would spend hours sitting and looking out to sea hoping to get to watch a storm roll in. It was during the storms that Cathirix felt one with the world, when the sky lit up with lightning he could sense something beyond the vail of mortality. Preferring a quiet life of seclusion Cathirix rarely went into Waterdeep proper, but he now found himself before the gates of the Crown of the North driven here by the words in a dream. Hazy pictures and fading words still swirled in his mind, a beautiful face ”You can end this…”, rivers of blood ”Find the lowest point…”, disemboweled sacrifice ”… in the city”, a terrible maw seeking that which to devour ”My blessing will be with you.”. Lowest point in the city…. Must be the docks, he thought to himself. Lost in his thoughts Cathirix collides with a young woman, “Excuse me, I am sorry… I… uh,” he stammered as the vegetables the lady was carrying went sprawling. “I was lost in thought and…” “You mean you were thoughtless,” she said in a chiding tone, “so, what is so important that its worth running me over?” “I… uh… I had a viso….
