Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() I think my cavalier is getting to be too complicated in a pbp game (his mount has the bodyguard feat and they both have combat reflexes). I think I'll play with my druid, also gives some extra healing to the party. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() I have a level 3 druid, level 3 alchemist, and a level 2 cavalier. I would love to join :) ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() I'm down for anything besides the 3 scenarios I played: Master of the Fallen Fortress, Silent Tide, Before the Dawn - Part 2: Rescue at Azlant Ridge ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() You posting rate is perfect Amsheagar, I would love to play more!! I think Cade leveled up! ![]()

![]() rolls:
Cade Charge: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 18 Cade Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 + 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 + (6) + 3 + 1 = 20 Fang Charge: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 6 Fang Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8 Fang Trip: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 17 Cade guides Fang 25 feet with his knees into a charge. Fortunately Cade's darkvision allows for a solid blow into the ape man's back. Being complete darkness for the wolf, Fang is unable to connect with his bite. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Character Name: Cade Thorngage

They then disengage from the enemies using their escape route combat training. On his way back, Cade notices the fight between the golem and the giant gorilla. "Wow, is there any way for that golem to even hurt that thing?" ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade eyes the golem and the giant ape and decides to attack the smaller apes, since they are closer to his size. Cade Charge: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 24
![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade notices the arrows having no effect. "Anyone seen one of these before? Where is the weak spot?" ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade advances to the front of the party and readies his lance for the first enemy. "Unload some arrows and spells upon them, I'll charge them once I get a chance." ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() LOL "Well, I guess we should go help with the monkeys... Maybe bring that orb in case anyone out there can figure it out." ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade and Fang pace around the room looking for hints. Cade Perc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Ok, I think the RetCon'd AoO killed the skeleton, so the 20 on the roll didn't hit? Also, I think even that first one missed Cade as his FF AC is 19 and it looked like the skelly rolled a 17. Let me know, else I will update Cade's hp. I did track the hit on Fang in my status. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() AoO RetCon:
Cade AoO: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 1 + 1 = 15 Cade Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 9 Also, moving forward, the DM can roll my AoOs for me :)
"What is that thing?" ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Rolls:
Fang Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 9 Fang Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 7 Cade Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 1 + 1 = 23 Cade Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 9 Fang nips at the adjacent skeleton but is unable to connect but Cade delivers a furious blow. "I'll hold the hallway, blast them from behind me!" ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Also, since AoOs happen before the enemies' actions, did I negate one of the hits? ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Also, Cade gets 3 AoOs per round due to Combat Reflexes ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() AoO: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 = 21
Suddenly bombarded by the skeletons, Cade jabs with uncanny reflexes at them with his lance - connecting several times. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Quick note - I see you mentioned that the skeletons hit Cade FF, but his FF AC is 19. Also, Cade has combat reflexes, so should get his AoOs against up to 3 that engaged him - CR allows for AoOs while flat footed, and Cade rolled high enough perception. I'll go ahead and roll the AoOs ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Cade notices the skeletons and has his lance ready to strike. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade and Fang will stand in the front - lance at the ready Also, can Cade get a cure light or some form of healing? He is down 3 hp unless I missed someone healing him. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade readies his lance in case anything untoward a approaches the party. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() "If we let you in, you have to promise to drop your weapons after the assault. We would be helping you in this and would expect your respect!" Sense Motive on their response: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade nods and moves into the palisade with the rest of the group. "Why are these apes attacking now? Has this been an issue in the past?" ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade gives a bow to the woman, [b]"Hello friend, what has been happening here? We thought this camp would be under attack from aspis mercenaries, but it seems like-"[b] when all of the sudden Cade's conversation is cut short by the horn and commotion from the valley. He immediately places himself between the caravan and the oncoming horde of enemies. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Fang growls and Cade eyes his lance, "you are lucky my allies are so ... friendly, 'captain'... Let's go to the camp, quickly!" Cade and Fang set out at the front of the caravan. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade keeps a look out and circles the wagon protectively. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() "Brilliant idea!" Cade helps load up the captain and leads the way to the intended destination. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Cade rubs the cut on his shoulder and shrugs, "so do we want to wait for this scum to wake up? Maybe we should stabilize him and drag him so we don't slow down..." ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Rolls:
Fang attack Merc3: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 1 + 2 = 16 Fang Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7 Fang Trip: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 = 8 Cade attack Merc3: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 11 Cade Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (1, 1) + 8 = 10 Wheeling about, Cade and Fang charge another mercenary. "You pathetic weaklings, leave that little, demented elf alone; don't you realize he is special needs!?" ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() @Amsheagar: Did the 18 AC charge attack hit the enemy to the south east? Was that a merc or the captain? I was thinking the enemy with the cape was the captain. Anyhow, my plan was for Cade to charge the enemy that is immediately north of Cade's current location. Fang was trying to drag him down and then Cade would stick a lance in him. Seems like Fang missed horribly, so the next best thing would be for Cade's lance to hit that guy (not sure if 18 hits or not, hoping it is a hit :)). Also, who's horse attacked and rolled the 19? ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Rolls:
Fang and Cade both have Escape Route, so no AoOs from the captain Fang attack Merc: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 10 Fang Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5 Fang Trip: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 17 Cade attack Merc: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 18 Cade Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (3, 5) + 10 = 18 Darting around, Cade and Fang charge the mercenary to the south. Fang tries to nip at his foot but is unable to land a blow. Fortunately, Cade's lance aim appears to be true. ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Also, I updated my character repository with pdfs of Cade and Fang. Let me know if you have trouble accessing them ![]()
Wayang Cavalier 2
![]() Any specific details? I'll also work on getting a PDF version of the document in my characters folder. ![]()

Yeah, I don't have a great way of doing it, but you can download the HTML and then view it. It is somewhat annoying at first, but then is really easy to reference. Let me know if that isn't convenient. ![]()

![]() Cade has combat reflexes, so he gets AoO while flat footed :) AoO: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26
As the rider approaches Cade, his honed reflexes kick in and he pierces the bandit's armor, drawing blood. Cade then ducks the attacker's blade and then charges off towards him. Cade Charge: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 15
