![]() No matter how good your tactics are, describe the Npcs/Monsters. don't just put Minis/counters down and start combat. Describe what a monster does when it attacks and if a PC doesn't do it, fill their description in for them. Combat can get really dry and good tactics can get really frustrating if it is described as
Descriptions don't have to be this well though out. They can be as simple as "Ac? Rolled a 19, the troll hits you with it's claw, 11 damage to anvil" There should always be some kind of description. As a player I often have to ask "What are we fighting?" "What caused that 16 damage to my character?" I play with a lot of GMs that are REALLY good at tactics and really good at flavor in role playing situations but some of those same GMs totally forget about flavor in combat. It's not an easy thing to do but it is so worth it when it is done. It can be the difference between a "challenging" GM and a "difficult" GM. ![]()

Info on our Bonekeep special:
Ruins of Bonekeep Special: The ruins of Bonekeep have stood outside Absalom for hundreds of years. The crumbling ruin is just one of many testaments to the foolhardy conquerors who tried—and failed—to lay claim to the City at the Center of the World. Records state that it was home to a necromancer who tried to animate the city’s dead, but the armies of Absalom razed the keep to its foundation before he could complete his mighty spell. In the years since, few adventurers have bothered to explore the ruins, finding only a trinket or two for their troubles. What no one ever discovered was the series of dungeons beneath the ruin, which have lain undisturbed until now. Ruins of Bonekeep is a series of special events for the

![]() This thread is planted here for discussion about an awesome Akiton Runelords mashup N'Wah (AKA Ashton Sperry) idea Ashton posted to the Fan's of Paizo Facebook group; reposted here to hide details from Runelords players so as not spoil Runelords or this set piece. what was already posted by Ashton(rough rough draft of summary):
The ancient empires of Azlant and Thassilon rarely came into conflict—the former finding the latter to be crude rabble organized by a foolish exile, and the latter to self-absorbed to respond to the sneering rebuke—but on occasion, one or the other found something too tempting not to risk attention. When Azlant began construction of gates to other worlds, the Runelords of Thassilon sat up and took notice, particularly the kingdom of Shalast. Seeing in these gates an opportunity to generate vast wealth, the archwizards of that nation began construction on a portal of their own: the Cerise Passage, a gate to the cold desert world of Akiton.
The construction of the Cerise Passage was ill-timed, however, for a scant few weeks after its completion, Karzoug deposed his master, the Runelord Haphrama, and claimed his throne. Karzoug had long allied with horrors and abominations from other planes, and saw little need for a gateway to another world when his own potent magics and alien contacts could provide as much or more wealth on their own. Citing budgetary constraints, Karzoug has the Cerise Passage deactivated, and over the years, its existence faded from memory. With the coming of Earthfall and the destruction of Thassilon, even the limited references in Karzoug's vast treasuries came to be lost. Until now, that is. A witchwyrd by the name of Xuron discovered the location of the Cerise Passage within an old tome he had recently acquired. It was good timing, for his part: he had a buyer who had expressed interest in possessing a sample of Akitoni malachite, a rare gem found only in the darkest crevices of Akiton's Edaio Rift. Xuron booked passage to Magnimar, and from there to Sandpoint, the community closest to the location of the Cerise Passage. There he hopes to find heroes brave and capable enough to risk the dangers of the Edaio Rift and return with what he seeks. Fortunately, Sandpoint has a few heroes who just might be up to the task... and some artwork: ![]()

![]() I have run this a few times and it usually runs likes this: Spoiler: Vorka wakes on the second dog encounter. While the party is healing, strategizing, etc Vorka has enough time to drink her potion of barksin, cast spiderclimb, and move to the ceiling. When the party goes into the room, Lungtung attacks with his tongue 15' from the door trying to draw the party into the cabin while Vorka is casting summon swarm from above. When the swarm appears Vorka moves out of the cabin to release cuddles from the galley while the party is fighting lungtung and the swarm.(which usually splits the party while the half the group races with vorka. ). From here Vorka moves up into the rigging and casts produce flame. Usually this battle concludes near the galley. ![]()

He keeps one eye to Lumi's entry to make sure to outbid Tenzekil if he comes back. I will not be beat by any man that glares at me like that let alone a white haired gnome. Drezi looks to the other girls to see if he can read anything from their looks to him. Sense Motive 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 ![]()

![]() FYI, no need to worry about fame for +1 weapons or armor, they are allowed purchases regardless of fame or chronicle. Here is a reference sheet that might help, all the rules come from the guide to organized play. When I make chronicle sheets for my games I print these on the back. ![]()

I am so gonna steal that idea! I will probably do it with something simple like jellybeans (something that the player will forget about and just stick in their mouth like a goblin absentmindedly lighting a firework). THanks! ![]()

![]() A set of straight forward adventures involving Intrigue in the realm of Irrisen. This could either be accomplished with natives, Ulfen, or Varisien's fighting through a slew of Baba Yaga's minions. I just finished Winter Witch, Saw Troll Hunter, and have been reading a book of norwegian folk tales and would love to sync my teeth into a campaign based in these lands.
