Boltblade smiles at his handiwork and stands rather triumphantly over Wanikawwi.

"I managed to stay in this like a real brave guy this time. Perhaps this training with the Pathfinders is doing good for my career after all."

"Honestly I'm not sure your companions misunderstood you, you seem kind of like you're a jerk and they fully understood your intent. Well, I will get to be the hero for destroying you instead!"

Boltblade's eyes light up with an electrical fury as he first casts another arc of electricity at Wanikawwi.

Electric Arc Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 4, 4) = 12 DC 22

Then he makes one extra powerful swing another speedy hasted swing hoping to heroically fell the giant Undead.

Cast Electric Arc (2a), Dual Handed Assault, Strike. No Snagging Strike because haste is only regular strikes and I didn't think 4 MAP strikes was worthwhile when I'm already punching above my weight class a bit

Boltblade forces his still shaky legs forward up to face Wanikawwi head on this time. No more running away!

"I'll stop you myself if no one else will. This time I mean it!"

Boltblade attempts to grab Wanikawwi's flowing cloak and throw it over his head to emphasize his points as he swings his sword up at it.

Khopesh, Snagging Strike: 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 16 + 1 = 31
Slashing Damage: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 5) + 4 = 11 plus off-guard as long as Wanikawwi stays in my reach if it hits.

Then while the scarf is over the undead's face he takes a larger two handed swing before Wanikawwi gets a chance to recover.

Stride x2, Snagging Strike, Dual-Handed Assault

Boltblade looks down at his feet with tears in his eyes.

I fled again, and left everyone behind. Just like my first match where I ran away from the rest of my companions in fear. I'll never overcome this hurdle even in all my training.

He stands dumbstruck for a long moment before taking a look back at the leshy taking on Wanikawwi alone and wipes the tears from his eyes, realizing he can't leave everyone alone on the field again. And slowly forces himself back towards danger.

Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Boltblade realizes Wanikawwi is right and that fire is extremely scary to be around and panickingly spends all 4 of his stride actions to run as far away from the deadly fire as he can.

Feeling extra speedy, Boltblade strides into a centralized location hoping to draw the remaining wood giant to also come up closer into the light and be an easier target. Then he tries to glare at the Red Giant this time around.

Concealment at Red: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Demoralize at Red: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 13 + 1 = 26

And then he tries to use his one small bit of magic to call down a small amount of lightning at both Wanikawwi and Red Giant.

Hasted Stride, Demoralize, Cast Electric Arc.

Boltblade moves up and tries to give his more competent and level appropriate barbarian friend an assist with the big scary wood giant.

"Thanks for taking that spot there Grommfell you know I'm little stuffed from earlier so I'm not taking hits all that good today. You understand, I'm sure."

Then since the creature is still hiding in the grass he tries to copy the big scary posture his godmother Jaathoom taught him.

Intimidation to demoralize: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19 vs Will DC of white

I honestly do not remember if you need to target to demoralize because you need to do with just about everything else in this game so I'm rolling a concealment for it here if you want that as well. Text of demoralize says only "a creature you're aware of" which implies you don't need to see it, but it also says to choose one which could be interpreted to mean you need to target so I'll leave that up to you.

Then given that it's already being flanked he opts to go for a bigger tougher hit instead.

Boltblade picks up one of the cups of pudding and signs it, then hands it off to them. "Here have an autograph, that'll show you how serious I am about you all being my trusted fans. This gift is my resolution for you all!"

"I would never betray my fans! In fact I shine brighter when they're cheering me on."

Boltblad sighs seeing the ball of flame in his way to approach the only still standing enemy and very slowly trudges his way through the grass that is taller than him to wack it from the opposite side. But not before glaring at it and giving it a big scary lizard hiss.

Then he tries to pull at its vines to make it easier for Grommfell to target.

Stride (slowly), Demoralize, Strike

"Okay I see you have the pick for killing ghosties, I understand... mostly. Let's trade, then. I will kill the stupid zombie."

Boltblade moves over to make room for his dwarven friend to go in ghost killing. Then takes two swings at Withered.

"Hey! Not knowing history is no reason to kill us." Boltblade rushes up to the creature attacking the dwarf and tries to lend a hand.

First he gives them a tough two handed swing.

Unsure if Red is still concealed being near the clearing at this point but will roll dc5 checks anyway and let me know if they end up mattering or not.

Boltblade takes a long squint out into the darkness as his eyes adjust to the darkness.

"Well why don't you inform us of this history then. We are guests protecting this fire and I would like to be enlightened."

Though he does still draw his sword in concern.

I'm not sure if I can see the source of this voice or not but as a note I do have darkvision as a kobold so I'll peer around for something anyway.

Boltblade likewise checks over all his gear and sits down with a snack for a bit.

No real preparations to make on my end

Boltblade blows out a puff of air through his nostrils

"Hey! Get off our case, okay? Stop messing around with us and we won't be tempted to make any betrayals to being with."

Fort: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30 Being much used to the pranks of his benefactor's various other air elemental servants, Boltblade is entirely unbothered by a cloud of dust.

Boltblade gets particularly excited about his new role as a scary monster spirit and tries to put his gladiatorial showman training to good work.

"You cannot stop me, I am the terrifying Desert Storm!" he says while kicking dust around and making scary whooshing wind noises.

Intimidation: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 1 = 18
I'll use one of my two hero points, to fail to scare children is just embarrassing for a poor kobold trying to be tough.

Intimidation, Hero Point: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 13 + 1 = 24

Boltblade sniffles. "The doctor at the arena was just like you. Made the bleeding stop but somehow they had to make it hurt more..."

Reflex: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

Boltblade is faced with a dilemma, drop the vines and roll away or hold his ground and be trampled by the bison. He grits his teeth and opts to turn around, cover the vines with his body and get trampled in order to protect the samples.

"I will protect the vines, mission first!" he yells, as he stares down the bison and hoof prints cover his armor by the end of it.

"Well, planty biomes are not my specialty but I'll give it a try." Boltblade starts pulling vines with as much vigor as he can muster, hoping he actually gets the right ones.

Boltblade scowls as the masher shakes in his hand and he pulls hard against it to control the item. "Hmmmm invisible air spirits?"

"Wait aren't we supposed to be watching a fire not dowsing one?" The kobold looks confused but pockets the alchemical regardless.

Boltblade takes hold of the heavy wooden masher with a grin. "I could mash spices back home all day! Berries are easy by comparison."

Athletics: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 1 = 18

A robust looking kobold wearing loose linens typical of desert life and carrying a single khopesh on his hip that looks to styled like a lightning bolt with the hooked part dipping downwards at a harsh angle reaches out a hand to shake to anyone willing to take it. As you look at his hand and the bits of his skin peeking out from his large swathes of armored plating it is easy to see that his scales shimmer a nearly translucent sky blue with each also having swirls and spirals of white across them.

"They call me Boltblade, the Desert Storm. Renowned gladiator from the Katapesh ring. Well... soon to be renowned anyway, I guess I did lose my first match pretty bad but now I'm training here with the Pathfinder Society after my aunty made some arrangements to get me a signed up with them so I'll be proper strong and famous too. My aunty is this cool jaathoom that my parents used to do a lot of work for so that I could be born with genie magic or something, she's really cool and strong! But I honestly all I can really do magic wise is sometimes I can shoot lightning."

He holds up his khopesh and tilts up his helmet to show a big prideful grin. "I am pretty good with a sword though and sometimes people have heard of me enough to want to talk to me so hopefully that's of some help."

I really do hope you enjoy it. It's on my list to get better at running in this medium to do some author tables myself at some point but I had too many health things come up this summer to get the prep this time around.

I also have 3 glyphs though at this point that's just redundant and I suppose I'll take Worldly Mentor, why not. I'll update with my level boost HP and skills in the macros and hot bar at some point.

Boltblade reaches over and takes a sip of the silvertongue mutagen, feeling right as rain.

"I believe we can help make sure you stay independent if any of the old Chelaxians come about again! In fact we can make your protection a part of our agreement!"

"What are you so scared of Droon for? I guarantee you we can take care of anything they try to throw at you. They wouldn't dare give an ally of ours any problems." Boltblade says with a teethy grin and a wink.

Botlblade is about to shrug and give up before his helpful gnome manager steps up and makes his own statement. "Oh oh we have many things we can help with. I may be mostly a fight arranger (for very safe and legal profit, I assure you) but I know of a good many things the Pathfinder Society is regularly moving around for others. Artifacts of many kinds, and always with strong and significant protection given by Pathfinder guards."

As suspicions are part of the trade of a good athletic performer, Boltblade is quite familiar with the omens and superstitions stemming back home in Katapesh and tries to see if any of those cultural interpretations apply here.
"Well in Katapesh we do have rituals we do for luck and I think this does look like a way to ward off the gremlins, after all."

Occultism, Challenge 1: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18

"Well now hold on I may not be a merchant myself but I come from a big mercantile city and I think there may be some other options in what we could trade including labor forces and various other strike team work that would help to alleviate the pure monetary costs on both sides here."

Boltblade then finds himself next to a weird cloud hawk and tries to spook it before hitting it a couple times.

First a smaller strike to disable it some.
Snagging Strike vs Hawk: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23 possibly vs frightened
Slashing: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10 plus off-guard while it stays in my reach.

Then a bigger strike to really knock it out of commission.
Dual Handed khopesh #2: 1d20 + 16 - 5 ⇒ (15) + 16 - 5 = 26 possibly vs OG and frightened if previous attack hit
Slashing: 2d10 + 4 ⇒ (7, 6) + 4 = 17

Boltblade moves up around to the side of the firey rat in hopes of finishing it off.

Then he takes a second swing at the dirt dog for good measure as well.

I... wow that's impressive...

Boltblades hisses and rushes around to the far side of the rat, then makes a big large swing at it.

Boltblade looks back and forth at his companions one last time, then he steps back and runs at the door kicking it open.

I could have checked if the door opened on its own first but Boltblade wouldn't. He'd go straight to kicking it down.

Boltblade looks back and forth at his companions. "...Should we just bust in then? We need to get this person to the meeting tomorrow..."

I do not have treat wounds so if someone else does I would like to be not at 27 HP thank you.

"Go find the pirate in his tower and drag him out here for the vote tomorrow, got it."

Boltblade tries to look tough and heroic despite his previous struggles.

Intimidation: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

Boltblade meticulously brushes off the basilisk blood from their scales with a small pumice stone.

"A time I failed? You mean aside from just being turned to stone by a trio of smelly basilisks?" His eyes roll at the reminder.

"Well in truth failure is how I got here to begin with. Just ask my fight manager, he remembers how my gladiator trio got almost immediately taken out by a pair of giants in the ring. I was so upset! And my other friends dropped out on our grand big dream. That's when Vincent told me I needed a better training regimen before I can even think about trying again, especially as a solo act. So now I'm here training with the Pathfinders."

Boltblade squaks a sound very unbecoming of a powerful draconic gladiator in his pain but tries his best to shake it off and turns back to the red basilisk.

He tries an extra big swing at it once again!

And then he reaches out to shake its neck while going in for another slash.

"Owwwww..."

Boltblade takes in a deep breath at hearing Betel's explanation. "Well we're in it now... here goes nothing, I guess."

Boltblade slowly approaches the red basilisk lizard and tries to get rid of them as quickly as he can, by quickly hitting them extra hard with his khopesh.

I can't think of any questions, personally.

While not much of a scholar, Boltblade does know his fair share about charming an audience and tries to at least make it look like he knows what he's supposed to be doing.
