vermin form says its reach does not increase to 10ft but do you have a reach in vermin form or do you HAVE to be in their square?

At 10th level, a swarm shifter can use this ability to automatically deal her touch attack damage to foes that she is grappling

^does that mean when a grapple is maintained damage is dealt in addition to the chosen grapple effect I.E you can grapple for 2d6 damage as well as choose to pin or do a natural attack etc?

lastly. as a swarm and a large creature is there the ability to grapple multiple medium creatures at once. per say fill a square of 4 creatures and as i grapple 1 then attack another get a grapple. because hamatula strike i could hit multiple with a full attack and grapple each

Thank you very much. I just wanted to make sure. Muchly appreciated.

Here is me doing a confusion. The swarm shifter gets the vermin aspect and the enlarged size. But is the damage swarm damage i.e 1D6? does it scale with HD like a swarm template creature type? How should damage be done and caculated since you cant shifter claw outside of "normal form" but since vermin aspect REPLACES the old considered change can you shifter claw/attack in that?

Game today Reckless?

Good game all. Just a friendly reminder. if anyone needs a magic item made by the Armored Arcanist's sponsored smith silas Wolfe. He only charges 70% of the purchase cost to make and wondrous items.

So Jordas, gonna join us on Sunday?

Reckless, I pmed you on fantasygrounds forum man

Look forward to having you come along on our adventure Jordas

Man a whole 2 weeks. at least we can maybe find a healer to replace grimvol for some full on super healz. That level 2 though... am I right? :P A lot of close calls and I think Saladar has now learned his direct tactics in the streets of the Cauldron are not going to fly in these trap infested corridors.

Artix hope your pc gets fixed

Man cant wait... halfway to sunday!

We had a few bumps to iron out. it went well. nobody died. I had a great time personally.

woo game coming up tomorrow. All the excite.

Oh man, so excited for the game. Was a lot of prep and work and finally getting close to enjoy a real long term invested pathfinder game.

I am loving this amount of investment in the campaign. Backstory meshing, bouncing ideas, etc. Got some great opportunity here and I am looking forward to getting this started this month.

Well Saladar did roll for having a issues of competing over relationships in the party. I could maybe see Beyla and Saladar having some sort of competitive relationship as I had also rolled relationships with fellow past adventurers. Whether that is a current thing or not, I could definitely see it illustrated in sparring and other interactions. Definitely played off as a sort of Gimli/legolas mechanic with romantic undertones.

Nothing wrong with being the new guy to the group. You get to offer outside perspective to lands outside the cauldron and get to embrace a camaraderie not forced by obligation.

Well as for Beyla, A Paladin and brawler. I definitely see her trying to reform Saladar. Seeing him work as a brawler like her but uninterested in pursuing the higher path while being talented and visiting the same training halls as her. Much can be said about the 2 opposite sides of a similar coin. To the point that her and Saladar Train together in competitive sparring. I could also see Artix being a friend of Beyla's as she comes to watch the sparring providing healing between the 2 brawlers while debating theology with the Paladin.

Very said to see Simon go. I know you put in a ton of work there Simon.Hope things do improve for you sir.

On a related note. Reckless can we get an updated note on player listing on who is still in the campaign and what classes?

Sounds great Reckless. thanks for keeping us posted. I am fairly sure I met all hard close requirements. If I am lacking let me know

Dree Turmont: I am the weapon trainer here in the cauldron and Saladar you have to be by far both the greatest face for potential I have ever taught while also being the most irritating.

Saladar: Gee, I guess I can't really help that.

Dree Turmont: SEE THIS IS WHAT I MEAN. YOU HAVE NO PASSION PEOPLE CANT UPSET AND THEY CAN'T EXCITE YOU.

Saladar: Well, I did die once.

Dree Turmont: UGH...this is what I am talking about. I have seen how you can look and learn all the things I have to teach but the fact you think hard work and diligence without passion is all that requires is why I charge you double.

Saladar: You charge me double... I thought it was for being on an advanced class. hmmm

Dree Turmont: SEE ANYONE WOULD HAVE TRIED TO COME AT ME IN COLD BLOOD FOR SAYING THAT...

Saladar: Well I guess because I have nothing to spend it on, the money kind of doesn't matter to me.

Dree Turmont: FINE...you know what. You graduate, congratulations. Now go out there and find someone else to give another vein on their neck.

Saladar: Ok, thanks. You helped me a ton.

Dree Turmont: GET OUT...

I gave my one sentence about something I want in the game, but I feel it was a premature cop-out. The one thing I want is to play a character so emotionally and demonstrably mundane. I want this utter contradiction to the picturesque hero to shine bright even as he regards everything with a dull and meek but pleasant outlook. The "Everyman's hero".

Call him... Gallinacus Filch XD

Yeah I should soon have my npc interaction sample Roleplay.

Excellent back story my friend. Using specific locale and events to highlight what you seek out of the game as well as making the paladin multidimensional giving her attraction to others not just piety towards a selfless noble cause.

I can definitely see her trying to motivate Saladar into being passionate about something other than just being muted and indifferent. Inspiring doing good for righteousness instead of going through motions of just being a good person because of a long held grudge against an oracle.

"I am not a thief but I am not a trusting man who thinks the best of mankind either. Mankind has let me down and they need to earn back their respect and do what I do"

As a hard close requirement besides npc sample roleplay. I am keen on using the free teamspeak provided by fantasy grounds. it allows for audio whispers, sub channels, and good customization Also I think Lions of Lantern street by consensus is the party name. "we take PRIDE in being the MANE force of the cauldron" heh

Yeah What I love about Saladar, he will always max out ranks in disable device but when he hits level 5 and can bypass DR he will always prefer to simple break locks by hitting them. like reading the instructions for something then never referring to them again. Saladar is the personification of the boring NPC. Immensely strong and capable in battle you wouldnt ever guess it as he will always focus on the most simple and mundane things in life.Easy going he is not without faults with a complete distaste for being resurrected. He was literally ripped out of heaven by force and that has made him bitter but willing to do the right thing to earn his place there once more.

Hmm a bard oracle. "what do you know sorin?" sorin: "I KNOW EVERYTHIIIING" heh. My comment was merely a casual observation. I do hope others play what they will enjoy and not feel gangpressed into a healer role.

yeah there is a definite lack in party healing capacity. Bard can do a tiny bit but later on in levels the power creep will be pretty bad. Having someone who can AOE heal channel effectively is pretty nice

Sorin seeing as the lord is nondescript in my backstory working under the lord Taskerhill would be an easy task for story purposes. Being a wealthier lord in the operations of mines over say simple farmland I feel that would give him opportune fortune for Saladar's ressurection after the horrible tragedy of death by his first love's hands. Being so plain stick in the mud boring Saladar with a small style of living would enjoy simple things over grand luxuries. That being taken into account as a person of Omen much discussion and interest could be fostered between Sorin and an almost apathetic Saladar who seeks to do right simply to entertain himself.

Well it sounds like you two have quite the compatible backstory going. I for myself see Saladar as a man completely devoid of anything interesting externally. You point at him even at level 20 and say "that is an adventurer" people will laugh you out of town with how unheroic Saladar's stance is.

He is a fun character to play knowing and having experienced death in a way that has left him almost desensitized to life especially having his first true love being the murderer.

Playing as a rogue/Brawler a backstory with other rogue gestalts seems doable as either a former member of his street gang in youth or him as a reformed criminal lecturing and trying to guide people from that path.

Benny a name isnt anything and I will just use this name to roleplay in.

As for party names I personally like "Cauldron's flame" -Keeping the fires lit in this great city

as for backstory:

Saladar bach a descendant of a founder of the Cauldron was a poor child. One who saw the merits of thievary and easy pay over hard work that the other "serfs" would be suffering through all their life. Angry and frustrated that the peasants had no real means to move up into the world he found that taking from merchants and nobles would go uncared for and treated with apathy. Getting in a group of thugs; the stronger than average boy found himself stealing anything of worth from such despised nobility but never hurting or harming them despite encouragement from his mentor "Niles the rooftop sparrow". One day he found himself between a moral dilemma. The noble had chosen to resist and when pressed by another scoundrel to "silence his throat" Saladar stood his ground in defense. Barring himself in front of the only friend and love from the gang he felt the icy cold stab of steel pierce his flesh as he suffered a killing blow from a once loved girl.
This caused the noble to flee but not without a twang of regret and genuine morality on his part. At great expense life was restored to Saladar Bach as the oracle decreed in a flash of prophecy that young Saladar was an omen of great coming. A coming of change. Uncertain of the nature of change the oracle bequeethed to Saladar the omen. Endearing and sincere in his thanks the noble took Saladar into his care with little intervention from his parents allowing their child a better life as a house servant. Thus Saladar grew up in the company of a military lord.
The life of Saladar although polite and modest in demeanor concealed a perpetually bored and disenchanted youth who had tasted death. Blaise and unafraid the youth studied as he worked the household seeing military men of action drill and demonstrate in the yard as he learned to read their movements like one would feel the subtle tumblers on a lock.Years passed as the stone faced simple living Saladar grew before taking up his own path with the money he saved and scrounged working in paid loyalty to the lord.

Well my friend Reckless on the fantasy grounds website under my other name "Gaara6666" I have supplied a forum post and a PM direct message with all required information for a "soft close". I prefer to use that site as I have it more tied to my alerts
