![]() Bel casts detect undead for the equivalent of three rounds in order to figure out what kind of beast is attacking them from above. Bel begins by looking up at the roof and once he has an idea as to how powerful the creature above them is, he will turn to look in the direction of the hole in the attic floor. Range is 60', duration is two minutes while Bel concentrates. ![]()

![]() Wererat zombies? Really? I should keep my mouth shut. Bel stays absolutely still while the three monsters above cry out to their brethren. He silently prayed to Cayden Cailean to make the monsters above them move. Are they headed in the direction of the tower or away from it? ![]()

Bel aims for the nearest zombie and fires a bolt at it. I assume the zombies have damage reduction, otherwise the health pool seems a bit excessive. ![]()

![]() Bel checks over his loaded crossbow after shrugging himself into his chain shirt. Looking down at Shallowsoul, he raises an eyebrow quizzically. "Did anyone else realise that our elven friend is off for a jaunt with our not-quite-dead friends?" he asks jovially. Seeing that the others are prepared, Bel ponders dropping down into the hallway below. ![]()

![]() Hmm, I must have misread something. I get channel at third level, right enough. However, given that it will draw the dead to us, it would only ever get used as an 'alpha strike'. With the ability to cast two cure light wounds per day plus having two weapons that utilise his high Dexterity and some buffing from inspire courage we should be fine. I agree that claiming some kind of base of operations should be a priority although I am not sold on the inn. It has already become infested by the walking dead and we would need to make considerable repairs to make it safe once again. Not to mention it has limited utilities. I'd argue instead that we should look for something that's a bit more defended, like a tower. We also need to raid apothecaries and/or magical supply shops for wands, particularly of the cure x wounds variety to help top up our damage. ![]()

Perc: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Bel is going to try and locate his own room so that he can grab his meagre belongings, mainly his heavy crossbow. "Unfortunately, my holy symbol is on the table I was sitting at in the tap room, which by the accounts of our dwarven friend here is behind at least eight of those... things." "I suggest that we recover our belongings and see what we can see from our vantage point up here," Bel says, looking around at the others. ![]()

Bel rubs the back of his neck as he stands and listens to the others make introductions. It would appear that an attic is not the most comfortable if places in which to sleep. "Morning all," he says with all the brightness he can muster, "Belvedyr Haverfoot, although my friends call me Bel for short. Quite the predicament we find ourselves in, hmm?" Bel's rising concern at the smell of smoke is offset by the logistical problems of clambering over rooftops. "You know, clambering over the rooftops is not likely to be easy and if we're to stand any chance of getting out of this situation alive, I suspect we'll need our weapons and equipment." Bel has a small rapier hanging from his belt but little else except his travelling clothes. |
