In the core rule, it say on page 272 at item damage:

Quote:
An item can be broken or destroyed if it takes enough damage. Every item has a Hardness value. Each time an item takes damage, reduce any damage the item takes by its Hardness. The rest of the damage reduces the item’s Hit Points. Normally an item takes damage only when a creature is directly attacking it—commonly targeted items include doors and traps. A creature that attacks you doesn’t normally damage your armor or other gear, even if it hits you.

.. but a player ask me "what happen if I want to sunder an enemy armor or weapon" and there is no rule to the attemp to sunder in combat... unless you automaticaly hit the foe's armor and do do damage without any check, wich can be problematic.

For now I just ruled it as an attack (or an athletics if it is greater than your unarmed attack proficiency) vs foe's Dex DC.

This happened on your tables? how did you ruled it?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

An other option is allow your player buy a kit between several characters... In fact the healler kit is something the "medic" character will use mostly on they parners so... they can share the cost of (if they know each other) or you can give them accest to the purchase on the town where they met (if they do not know before the session)

PD: sorry for my bad english

I was thinking to do this bard, who is the inspiration for his "compositions" are the battles it self.. so he mold his song as the battle progress... the idea is he use the clash of weapons and heavy boots hitting the floor to mark the rhythm of his bardic performance... I do not know if this is possible in term of game mechanic.

Nice, thank you.

Hi, a friend of my is want it to make a mesmerist that use this trait, most of all because he want it use card as a weapon. For obvius reason he do not qualfy for Arcane Strike, so we were searching for an alternative that allow use card as a weapons with a mesmerist... did you know any feat or rule can help us?

Thank people. That help me a lot

I'm wondering: versatile performance oratory can be used to avoid a feint?
I mean the CD is base on sense motive, and is a simplification of a opposed skill check, so I set the CD of the feint 10 + skill oratory?

I was wondering if Mythic weapon training rule over Mythics feats?

Lets say I take mythic weapon trainig heavy blade, and choose weapon focus longsword and mythic weapon focus longsword, that mean I have mythic weapon focus heavy blade?

There is a faq for that?
Yes.

Sorry, but I can't find that faq. The one linked by Seraphimpunk says:

"Spell-Like Abilities, Casting, and Prerequisites: Does a creature with a spell-like ability count as being able to cast that spell for the purpose of prerequisites or requirements?

Yes.
For example, the Dimensional Agility feat (Ultimate Combat) has "ability to use the abundant step class feature or cast dimension door" as a prerequisite; a barghest has dimension door as a spell-like ability, so the barghest meets the "able to cast dimension door prerequisite for that feat."

It refers to what I said: if it needs a specific spell to cast, a SLA that duplicate that spell qualify you as having requisites. But this is a different thing from "able to cast Xth level spell". So, major magic shouldn't qualify for the Arcane Archer.

Anyway, I'll do some deep search to find blahpers' statement.

Edit 7/12/13: The design team is aware that the above answer means that certain races can gain access to some spellcaster prestige classes earlier than the default minimum (character level 6). Given that prestige classes are usually a sub-optimal character choice (especially for spellcasters), the design team is allowing this FAQ ruling for prestige classes. If there is in-play evidence that this ruling is creating characters that are too powerful, the design team may revisit whether or not to allow spell-like abilities to count for prestige class requirements.

Well, since you guys seem to be a bit concerned about the individual abilities, how about we break them down, one champion at a time ?

Ahri, The 9 Tails Fox
Race: female Kitsune... no brainer
Class: sorcerer, because of her fire spells and charm spells
Weapon: Ok, this is where homebrewing begins. She attacks with a floating orb, a weapon that hasn't been made into Pathfinder. The closest thing I could find was the Orc Shotput, from WotC's 3.0 Arms and Equipment Guide:

Large Exotic Ranged Weapon
Orc Shotput - 10 gp - 2d6 - 19-20/x3 - 10 ft. - 15 lbs - Bludgeoning

The best way to make Ahri's weapon would be as follow:

Light Exotic Weapon
Glass Orb - 25 gp - 1d6 - x3 - 20 ft. - 1 lbs - Bludgeoning

Since she can control the orb telekinectically, the best way to represent it would be with a +1 returning dancing glass orb, that she catches once in a while to re-activate the dancing property, and since it can only be applied to melee weapons, I thought I'd made the orb like a dagger, as a melee/thrown hybrid.

Orb of Deception - Ahri sends out and pulls back her orb, dealing magic damage on the way out and True damage on the way back.

With the orb being returning, Ahri can simply make full-attack actions with the orb.

Fox-Fire - Ahri releases three fox-fires, which after a short delay lock on and attack nearby enemies.

Three fox-fires, huh ? Hello, scorching rays !

Charm - Ahri blows a kiss that damages and charms an enemy it encounters, causing them to walk harmlessly towards her.

Charm Person/Monster does the trick nicely.

Spirit Rush - Ahri dashes forward and fires essence bolts, damaging 3 nearby champions.

Hmmm... the closest thing I see would be Fire Snake.

Essence Theft - Ahri gains a charge of Essence Theft whenever one of her spells hits an enemy (max: 3 charges per spell). Upon reaching 9 charges, Ahri's next spell has 35%...

I think you can emulate better to ahri if u use a Wordspell sorccer since you can put multiple effects, and there is some word effect wich give you some temporaly Hitpoint so if you add this word to a word used to emulate his skills, in this way you get his pasive skill.

I'm looking for a spell-less bard class. I was thinking something about "Seeker of the Song" but need some rearrangements to fit on the pathfinder bard's system.

I was thinking some thing like when ever you gain a new spell level you gain "extra performance" instead.

when ever you are perfonming you gain some extra buff like Rapture of the Song (Su) of the "seeker of the song" (with some extra buff and a mayor improved level-rate rearrangments)

the capacity of use two song at the same time spending 1 round extra every 2 rounds for the extra song, let say you use 2 song the firts one you must to spend 1 round per round you are performing the second efect must spend 1 round per 2 round you are perfoming so you spen 3 rounds per 2 rouds you are playing the 2 song (or something like that)

Gain new and stronger song wich give you some convined effect or give you the refrain ability (again like the "Seeker of the song")

That my idea.

What you think about that? I know there are some balance problems but it can be worked from here dont you think?
