Asketell rubs his injured head. "I had my brain addled a few times today and I even thought for a minute I was going to see Valhalla. I need to get some healing first; but after that I could use a good ale or ten!"

Asketell takes the berry out of Landitho's hand and shoves it into his mouth.

"Hope that makes you feel better, big guy."

Then, not seeing the invisible duegar around, Asketell cautiously raises his shield to protect himself against attack.

Asketell finds some mushrooms in the Darklands and experiments with fermenting them into liquor.

Groggy from the repeated concussions, Asketell stumbles away from the fight. "Oh Eddie, you're burning there. You need something alkaline...Let me look. I might have something." Asketell moves over to the leshy and pulls some tinctures out of his bandolier. "Aha! Baking soda! That might do the trick! Stand still for a second, let me get that," he mutters as he tosses a white powder all over Eddie.

Asketell draws the steel shield off his back, and blocking himself he gets back to his feet.

"What is going on? Where am I?"

I guess I'll shield block again when I get hit, unless it is going to knock me out and destroy the shield anyways. Although I think a 3rd knock out is going to kill him anyways. But no point in wasting s perfectly good shield

That is unfortunately not very clear. The rules for minions say that the command action gives the creature two actions; but it doesn't say anything about minions that have the slow condition getting less then this.
Consequently, I also don't think that hasting a minion would grant them an additional action either; as they aren't using their own actions but taking the actions that you've bestowed upon them via the command action. But that's just my opinion. I've hunted the forums up and down for a definitive answer though and I am eagerly awaiting an errata on this rule.

Asketell risks being knocked down again and stands up. Then if he has survived that long, he steps forward and head butts the giant dwarf in the knee cap.

Asketell wakes up confused, spitting dirt and blood out of his mouth. "What? This ain't Valhalla!"!. Looking up he sees the giant duergar towering above him. "When did you get so big? Oh well, I can kick ya from down here!"

Asketell steps forward, throwing a right cross with his empty fist, then following up with an upper cut. "Gaarrrggghhh!" the berserking Ulfen howls as he throws himself at the dark dwarf.

Asketell drinks the mutagen in his fist and charges forward. With a flick of his wrist he draws a jar from his pocket and lobs it at the closest duegar.

"Rarrrrrrrrrrrr!" the Ulfen roars, spit flying from his mouth.

Electric, 1 splash: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7

The Juggernaut mutagen gives Asketell a +1 to Fort saves and 5 temp hp. He is able to draw and throw a bomb with one action due to Quick Draw.
And no splash on a crit fail.

It looks like Asketell is the party's light source with a torch.
I'm assuming he must have been this whole time.

Asketell has had his round shield slung on his back and instead has strapped a buckler to his thick forearm. Currently he is using that arm to hold his torch whilE his other hand is clutching a mutagen, ready to drink it when the first sign of danger appears.

After guzzling the bravo's brew Asketell shouts to the paladin. Then he reaches into his bandolier and palms one of his mutagens.

"Cassimon, drink your brave juice! We don't know what tricka these dark dwarves have up their sleeves."

if needed Asketell can carry a torch instead of a shield. I know we might be short on casters with light.

Hearing the sound of combat nearby, Asketell downs his bravo's brew andets out an enthusiastic roar.

Landitho leading with Perception while the rest of us aid is probably our best chance for success. We don't want to aid with untrained skills, but everyone has Perception.

Asketell quick mixes up an elixir and hands it to Landitho, saying "Drink this quick!"

Eagle Eye Elixir grants a +1 item bonus to Perception, +2 if it's a secret door or trap. Lasts one hour.

Have Medicine, but forgot to buy a healer's kit.

Asketell quickly pours a few bottles together and drinks it down, and follows it up by imbibing another tincture from his bag.

Quick Alchemying up an elixir, then downing one if his juggernaut mutagens right before opening the grate. It might wear out if there's more exploration but it let's him use Mutagenic Flashback later.

Reading through the guide, it sounds like we only get consumables on Scenarios (with a capital S) and not for quests, bounties or adventure paths

The Ulfen smiles and says "I told you it's liquid courage and by that I mean the real thing. It makes you fearless. Only lasts about an hour or so, though, so save it for when the fighting happens."

Bravo's Brew grants a +1 item bonus to Will saves, and +2 if it's a fear effect.

Asketell laughs and boasts, "I have punched a raging bear right in it's snout and I doubt that these dark dwarves are tougher than the beats we have in the Land of Linorm Kings. All I need to know is whereto find 'em!"

No relevant skills here. While we're at it, Asketell will slip his spare bravo's brew to Cassimon.

"A little liquid courage, my friend," he says laughing as he claps him in the back.

Asketell is a large Ulfen man with a thick red beard. Despite his large pot belly he also appears to be surprisingly fit, with thickly muscled arms that end in big meaty fists. And despite his rough appearance, their is a glimmer of intellect in his icy blue eyes. He cracks his knuckles and loudly says, "Aye! So a little rumble with the dark dwarves under the earth! Tis a lucky day to have such a straight forward mission for once!"

"Greetings! I'm Asketell Bonecauldron. Not a magic user myself, although it does run in the family. Just a humble brewer and a bit of barroom brawler, I suppose. Magic must of skipped my generation. Supposedly there were a lot of witches on my pa's side. They say they used to brew potions and such in pots made out of frost giant skulls, but I don't believe the stories myself. I've seen a frost giant and despite their size, I don't think their heads would have enough room to boil my morning porridge."

Asketell is going to brew 2 juggernaut mutagens, 2 bravo brews, 2 bottled lightnings, and leave two batches remaining for Quick Alchemy. And if anyone wants one of those bravo brews, they are welcome to it. Might be good for someone with a low Will save.

Thank you for GMing! It was great to do a Lands of the Linnorm Kings scenario with this character, although I suppose Asketell should have grabbed the Gorget before heading out on Tarnbreaker's Trail. Well, its just like him to do things the hard way.

As someone who GMs more than plays, I like the concept of secret rolls but I'm not always sure how to best implement them. I do think rolling for the player makes more sense than having them put the roll in a spoiler though.

Asketell mixes a drink and slams it down. "Hope that fancy neck piece was worth the trouble. That overgrown fish cut me real good.". Asketell looks out on the stormy sea. "That's enough of the ocean for me today. Let's go back and get a warm meal and maybe a cold drink or three."

Asketell strides over to the side of the ship that the creatures are approaching, then raises his spear above his head and throws it at one of the creatures approaching the ship. He loses his footing as the ship strikes a wave and the spear splashes in the water next to the critter.

"Slippery eel! Come up here and I'll give you a taste of my knuckles!"

Asketell slings the shield on his back and stabs his spear into the deck of the ship before jumping in.

Asketell picks up one of the crowbars and decides to take a spear to boot.

"I can heft one of these a good ways in a pinch!" he says, testing the weapon out. Then Asketell pulls the round shield off his back and straps it to his arm. "Is everyone ready for an amphibious landing? Now might be a good time to drink up those eagle eye elixirs. We're going to be depending on you to be our eyes and ears."

Geared up like a proper viking warrior with his shield and spear, Asketell hops off the ship and onto the wreakage.

Asketell enjoys a few drinks before setting sail, relishing a chance to have freshly brewed Ulfen beer. "Ah, it really is the best in the world!" he says, wiping the froth from his beard after downing a heavy mug of thick brown ale.
