Caveat: None of this stuff is mine so not responsible for any of it in any way, shape, or form. I'm running RotR at the moment so had a reason to keep it up to date and felt keeping it updated for the community might be useful as this AP may get more interest in the next few months (though you may like your updated APs shinier.) :) If anyone sees something that should not be here let the group know.

I've returned order 2102389 that I had received for this subscription and it shows it got to you today (tracking 9405 5036 9930 0054 7842 45.) I'm sure you're ramping up for PaizoCon but when y'all get a chance to process the return I'd appreciate it. Note that there was a store credit involved.

Caveat: None of this stuff is mine so not responsible for any of it in any way, shape, or form. I'm running RotR at the moment so had a reason to keep it up to date and felt keeping it updated for the community might be useful as this AP may get more interest in the next few months. :) If you see something of yours that you do not want to be here, let me know. In addition to this map of Turtleback Ferry, there's also a flooded version of Turtleback ferry to go along with the dry version on that site as well (but it wasn't simple to find. The flood version links to the dry version but the dry version does not link to the flooded version.) Poking around the wiki there's also some good looking (and risque, ye be warned) art of what I presume is the party that's going through the RotR AP.

Hi,

Was hoping someone could help me out parsing the addiction rules from the GMG. Using Slaver's Drops as an example here's what I believe the mechanics to be and what I'm asking for verification or correction. First an example with a minor addiction drug, thena second one with a moderate addiction drug:

1) PC takes the Slaver's Drops.
2) The PC makes two Fortitude (DC 13) saving throws:
2.1) First to see if PC will take the immediate damage of 1d2 Strength after the effects end.
2.2) Second to determine if the Minor Addiction takes hold.
3) Effects kick in for 3 hours: the PC has -3 to Will, +3 to Perception.
4) After 3 hours...
4.1) If the first saving throw succeeded, no Strength damage is taken. If it failed then 1d2 Strength damage is taken and will heal naturally even if the addiction save fails.
4.2) If the second saving throw succeeded, no Constitution damage is taken. If it fails, then Constitution damage is taken after the 1 day onset time and will only be cured if the Fortitude DC 13 with two consecutive rolls (rolling 1/day) without a supernatural curative.

In a second scenario using a Moderate Addiction substance.

1) PC takes the Elven Absinthe.
2) The PC makes two Fortitude (DC 16) saving throws:
2.1) First to see if PC will take the immediate damage of 1d4 Con after the effects end.
2.2) Second to determine if the Moderate Addiction takes hold.
3) Effects kick in for 1 hour: the PC has +1d4 Charisma.
4) After 1 hour...
4.1) If the first saving throw succeeded, no Con damage is taken. If it failed then 1d4 Con damage is taken and if the addiction save fails then this damage *cannot* heal naturally (otherwise it can heal naturally.)
4.2) If the second saving throw vs. addiction succeeded, no Constitution or Strength damage is taken. If it fails, then Constitution and Strength damage is taken after the 1 day onset time and will only be cured if the Fortitude DC 16 is made with three consecutive success rolls (rolling 1/day) without a supernatural curative.

Transfering Ticket?

Howdy - Is it OK and possible to transfer a ticket to the Con to someone else after it's been puchased? -Cheers, Ed

@LazarX - Yep, no need to call anyone out but I kind of hope that anyone feeling this way would speak up to answer the "why" part of my question which is the real source of my curiousity. I agree with ShadowcatX (hey are you two related?? :)) that taking potshots at the new thing is to be expected but just wanted to see what the talking points would be to such an odd reaction to a character class. (This is not intended to start a flame war though, so please, civil discourse only!)

@Dane - I'd agree. It'd be a downer if it ever did happen.

@Marc - Yep, I've never seen it either. I suspect it's just blustery opinions being tossed about.

I was just curious since my primary character this year was a Magus and I had some fun playing it out. Thanks for voices of reason. :)

So at PZCon I heard via the rumor mill that there were folks out there that would not stay around a table if a magus joined the party. Given that this was the rumor mill I chalked it up as idle gossip, but now I've seen some comments here and there on the forums that seem to support it. Are there folks out there who dislike the class so much they won't play in a group if one joins? This is the first time I've ever heard anything like this so it peaked my curiosity enough to ask is it true and why?

What is the PFS stance (if any) on the One Shot Kill?

@Gembar - Waltero will be in earlier Thursday and at the meet and greet until 9 PM which is about when I get to the hotel. So my guestimate is 9:30ish but possibly later depending. In any case I'll be hanging out at the bar shortly aftern I get to the hotel. Look for the guy in the shirt that has an alligator wearing a crown (the alligator not me :))

A buddy of mine is bringing a few PFS adventures to run (to fill the grand melee slot and the banquet slot in addition to some late Thursday night adventuring if we can fill it.) depending on the timing we'd be interested in a good ole dungeon crawl. Yes indeedy. And you shouldn't have a problem attracting players particularly if you run PFS games. Myself and a buddy are going to running one (or hopefully more) games as well. We're not doing Grand Melee or Banquet so that pretty much leaves Friday and Saturday nights open for gaming if you're interested in getting in touch. Waltero is the other fellow and welcome. PaizoCon is a blast! :) (P.S. If the gaming rooms are full the bar also has tables :))

Friday - Arrival and Registration

Marc - As I recall, there was a registration table where you gave your name and got your tag, a printout of your schedule, and a swag bag. The line got to be pretty long after a bit, but that was mainly because it was just one table (with multiple people working it.) Hopefully there will be a set up that moves things along more quickly this year with perhaps the registration materials being split up by last name or something. Or, dare I say, pre-registration Thursday night (Anyone listening? Paizo? Bueller?) The registration is sometime Friday but I was there bright and early last time so I am not sure how late it goes (though I would expect through the day at least.)

Jerimiziah - Didn't have a car, but parking was your standard hotel affair. A quick "Search nearby..." in Google shows a few pay parking options in what looks like walking distance.

Bummer. I've got pretty much the same situation but I took a half day to leave a littler earlier. Still the flight from N'awlins is loooong. Luckily the time change works in our favor. :) As Waltero mentioned, we'll be looking to game Friday and Saturday afternoon/nights as well, so hope to see you then.

Hi Gembar,

Been there! It took us forever to find a Pathfinder game much less a PFS game here in New Orleans. Waltero will be at the meet and eat on Thursday if you happen to see him around...he'll be trying to scare up a few people. I'll be coming in a little later that night. We're also trying to put together a game Thursday night as well (around 9 PMish...I should be at the hotel by then.) Will you be there Thursday night as well?

After having spent *ahem* time there I can say there are indeed tables. Waltero and I are trying to get a group to do some PFS gaming while the banquet is going on. We had a few maybes and are still casting the net hoping to get some folks interested.

Hi all,

I've been looking for the Open Event first come first serve rules. How will the this sign up work? Seems like the flood gates will open on the following Monday. Will the entry form allow one to select a list of events and submit them at once or submit one at a time? If an attendee doesn't get into an event will there be another chance (e.g. additional opening of tables?) I am interested mostly in Society play so I'm curious.

Will be attending this year for the first time. Hoping to do some gaming and I've seen references to a lottery for gaming during the con. Was wondering if I understood this correctly and can someone explain to me how it works?
