![]() I think the answer is “yes” but would like a confirmation. If a large area like a dungeon level is under the effect of a permanent spell effect that is active and on going, does it register normally on a detect magic spell as one of the detected auras and therefore can be identified through the normal application of the detect magic+arcana? ![]()
![]() About to start Shattered Star and allowing 2 traits (1 campaign + 1 any) plus 1 additional trait if a drawback is chosen. One of my players has chose a trait from the magic basic list and wants to select another magic trait from the faction list. I'm flexible about it, but I would like to be able to interpret the trait selection rules correctly. My question: Are the Factions traits considered a separate source for purposes of trait selection (so you can chose a magic trait from the Basic list and a magic trait from the Faction list) or are they lumped in with the four Basic list of traits (Combat, Social, Magic, and Religion) for purposes that 2 traits cannot be chosen from the same list? ![]()
Hi all. I'm looking for some help on clarifying Brain Drain. The APG says to treat knowledge gained as if one used _detect thoughts_ which I take to mean equal to round 3 of detect thoughts where surface thoughts are detected and the target gets the WIll save (that's the first item I'd like to clarify.) Next question would be if the information stays in the oracle's mind a number of rounds equal to CHA mod, then does the oracle get that many full round actions to sort through the information (or to put another way if mod is 2 then the oracle gets two full rounds to do two knowledge checks on different subjects?) Lastly, the ability states that the target immediately knows the source of the mental prying. Does that mean the target knows where it's coming from or details about specifically who its coming from? Cheers,

![]() Hi, Was hoping someone could help me out parsing the addiction rules from the GMG. Using Slaver's Drops as an example here's what I believe the mechanics to be and what I'm asking for verification or correction. First an example with a minor addiction drug, thena second one with a moderate addiction drug: 1) PC takes the Slaver's Drops.
In a second scenario using a Moderate Addiction substance. 1) PC takes the Elven Absinthe.
Cheers,

![]() So at PZCon I heard via the rumor mill that there were folks out there that would not stay around a table if a magus joined the party. Given that this was the rumor mill I chalked it up as idle gossip, but now I've seen some comments here and there on the forums that seem to support it. Are there folks out there who dislike the class so much they won't play in a group if one joins? This is the first time I've ever heard anything like this so it peaked my curiosity enough to ask is it true and why? ![]()
![]() Hi all, I've been looking for the Open Event first come first serve rules. How will the this sign up work? Seems like the flood gates will open on the following Monday. Will the entry form allow one to select a list of events and submit them at once or submit one at a time? If an attendee doesn't get into an event will there be another chance (e.g. additional opening of tables?) I am interested mostly in Society play so I'm curious. Cheers,
