I'm an undead and aberration type girl myself, but I also love the outsiders =}

Current favorites are ....
Qlippoth (Thank you Mr. Jacobs!) are so disgustingly awesome. Dropping a slaver band of Shoggti on the party last session made for some chaotic and frantic fun as they scrambled to figure out what they were up against and just how much trouble they were in =D

Aboleth ~ because well...yeah...psionic megalomaniacal elder mastermind bottom fish.

Flying polyps ~ long time running joke with the players, so I have to add them.

Umbral dragons ~ I'm having an obscene amount of fun tormenting my players with them up in Virlych.

Lich ~ the lich template is so versatile and it's fun to create various lich types from odd intelligent races and monsters.

Vampire ~ cliche's yes, but a clever and well played vampire is a beautiful thing to behold.

IF a pc passed the Starstone test and actually managed to ascend (Anything is possible yes?) I guess you bob up cork like to your aligned plane...and then what? How would you create your religion and develop your church? Gain worshipers? I don't have ascension dreams at the moment, but I'm curious.

Does anyone have thoughts on this? (If this has been covered already, my profuse apologies)

So, I've found that just from a role play perspective, simple is sometimes better when laying on the horror. I used several WW wizards with a stock pile of scrolls of Sculpt Corpse & Animate Dead to send undead look-alikes of the pc's out of the fog as they were running out of light in the mountains of Virlych...silent & creepy to see your self replicated repeatedly and walking towards you out of the gloom. It's fun to come up with nasty surprises.

My most recent are

A crazy nighttime carriage chase through the streets of Westcrown while also being hunted by assassin devils

My paladin accidentally "riding" a dead red dragon into the River Path in Lastwall and struggling to keep from drowning in heavy armor... Turns out dead dragons float rather well

So many it's hard to choose

I have a couple of paladin spells that I'd like to create and a player's cleric has a couple of spell ideas as well. I'm pretty helpless at locating rules on these kind of things and I didn't find what I was looking for.

Are there rules for it?

(Yes, I'm posting everyone into a coma today...transferring old dying computer files is dull)

Seeing that I am the fluff queen of endless minutiae I have ask how much detail do you make up for your campaign?

I've got many many folder with things like local and national costume, famous authors, local food, famous weapons, famous battles...famous every other category that you can think of.

I think that I'm singularly weird, but I live for detail.

I'm working on various detail project for Lastwall and Ustalav and trying to consider longitude and latitude and climate when designing the culture.

So tell me I'm not alone in my weirdness lol!

I thought that there were rules for combined casting some where, but I can't find it. Two wizards pc's want to merge their demi planes and I want to know if there were rules for this.

I feel seriously half witted asking this AND I'm not sure that this is where the question fits but.....

It seems from reading many other people's posts and answers to my posts, that Mythic rules now seem to have replaced all previous rules and definitions in the Pathfinder system. I thought that the Mythic system rules were created specifically for Wrath of the Righteous which wasn't supposed to bleed over to all other products...am I right??? Are Mythic rules, definitions, concepts, etc. now assumed to be system wide? Or am I just managing to only read threads and posts where people are using Mythic rules and definitions for everything?

If the Mythic concepts and rules AREN'T replacing standard Pathfinder system concepts and rules, are we stuck with sort of a Frankenpathfinder now with it all jumbled together? I would really really really love if we could stop the bleed over. Am I the only person that wants to keep them separate? I love the Pathfinder system in it's un-mythic state. For all of my complaining and obnoxious opinionated posts I only play Pathfinder and I don't want it relegated to the unsupported systems bone yard :(

Sorry if this is coming out barely intelligible, sleep dep is a lovely thing.

I'm not intrigued by Mummy's Mask or Iron Gods and won't be buying the AP's. I'm hoping that something comes out soon that I'm interest in. Does anyone know what comes next? Has it been announced any where?

Thanks!

Ok, I mean like Athena? I am just curious. Sarenrae always seemed like she'd be that type of deity. The whole purity concept, at least as far as mortals seem to consider it, would make her a good candidate. Iomedae also seems possible because she seems to me like she'd be as likely to throw green apples at suitors than any thing else and dedicates herself more to justice and good than flirting and marriage. A player wants to be a priest or paladin of a god/goddess of purity and chastity and we want to create a holy order. Sarenrae or Iomedae?

Keep it clean guys =P Please don't get my thread shut down =D

I'm old school and love the sound of the dice hitting the table =D If at all possible I avoid dice rollers. I'm such a nerd that I go no where with out my fav dice =P

What's you style?

After reading through the Mythic materials (Thank you Alleran for the suggestion to consider the Mythic options) for the last 2 days, I can actually see how this will sincerely benefit and empower my long term campaign. Since I won't be GMing the Wrath of the Righteous AP, I was curious to see if anyone else had role played ascension in their own campaign?

I'm not talking about the rules and game mechanics, those are pretty clear even after considering the amount of coffee I'm drinking to stay awake today :p

What I want to know is how, in your game and opinion, is ascension played out...is it purely a personal and internal thing? Is it something discussed between the pcs? Is it obvious to other people? Is it considered well or poorly by others? Is there a public display, ceremony or acknowledgement? Do the ascended look any different?

Just curious to see how anyone else has played it and what your takes on it are.

My concepts are somewhat bound to the manner and circumstances of ascension at the moment, but will likely evolve and change on further consideration as to how I'm going to be fitting it into my current campaign.

Has anyone done the blessed quest about finding the Blood Stones of Arazni and trying to bend her back to the light? Since she plays such a huge roll in the ancient history and premise of my ongoing mega campaign, back when she was listed as a demi goddess in her own right, in the Shining Crusade. The pc's of my campaign which is essentially the Shining Crusade part 2, want to try to "rescue her" find a way to bring her back to life and encourage her to take the test of the Starstone...I'm not exactly sure what I'd have her return as a deity of as of the moment but....

Has any one taken on this quest? We've all decided to keep on with our plan to battle Tar-Baphon eventually, though we aren't using Mythic rules for it...just curious =}

It's going to be a wild and crazy campaign I think

I was considering the structure of her church and was curious if any one else had developed anything along these lines. Is there any canon head of the entire church? I have seen mention of Genedair of the Seventh Church in Absalom, but don't know if he is supposed to be the ultimate leader or not. I know that her church is organized around circles of knights priests and paladins. But has anyone read anything about a church leader? I have my own ideas to develop it for my own campaigns, but would like to know if there is a canon reference any where.

Thanks =D

How long do half celestials live? Is it based on the general lifespan of the non-celestial parent?

I am creating an ancient npc and need to know how long it would possible for this npc to have been around.

It would be a half Taldan half celestial person, but hopefully he won't turn out too arrogant ;P

Thanks in advance for any advice

I admit that I'm terribly detail oriented. My gaming group calls me Annika, mistress of copious handouts =P But I love digging into a region and further developing it. I'm not in the least unhappy with the writers and developers of Pathfinder and Golarion, it's the best setting/world ever imho. My favorite places so far are Taldor, Lastwall and Ustalav, I just started getting into other areas and don't have a real feel for them yet. I just like to build npc's, rumours, local slang, food, costume and all that. It makes it more rich and enjoyable to GM for me. / No one ever complains when I pass out the rumour slips to each player as they discover them or when I hand out menus for the inn or tavern that they stop at. Does any one else do this?

I apparently live to complicate the game with details and cause myself headaches, says my bf =}

What area are any of you playing in and how much or little detail have you added? Curiosity killed the cat.

So, just kicking around some thoughts this morning on my fave super villain and what his plans will be when he finally breaks out of his prison. In the distant future of my current long running campaign, the characters in my group will be trying to face this bad boy down. Seeing that he is, oh, I dunno, one of THE most powerful mortals to walk Golarion, was he thinking of taking the Starstone test? (Tar-Baphon, demi-god of EE-vil necro-thugs) Did he think that by killing Arazni (My other fave Golarion character)that he could steal her divine essence/power (if there is a divine essence/power to steal, that is)? I was just wondering if he is going to try for godhood or is he just to "kewl" to be a god (In his own opinion, of course) =P

I realize that my own campaign isn't always canon, but I would like to hear something official or at least find out if we are going to have more official goods on The Whispering One and his goals/future machinations when he gets out of Gallowspire in future publications =} If this has already been answered some place else, could someone please point me to a post?

Thanks!

I love the illustration of the vampire ex paladin Halloran Idriss, but I can't figure out who the artist is. Can someone fill me in?

Thanks!

Ok...fun time! In the back of CC: Shadows of Gallowspire its mentioned that Urgathoa has a daughter. This started a conversation between my players and I on the topic of kids of the gods and what their powers would be and if they would be half-celestial or something more. What with Cayden Cailean not being able to resist the cute young novices and all of those Chelish chics hot for ol' Asmodeus...there has to be more of these indiscretions walking around someplace ;) (mind you, I don't own every thing ever published by Paizo...too poor, darn it! So I don't know if this topic is discussed any where else or not)

So...subject : offspring of the gods and what role would they play on Golarion and what would be their powers/abilities =D

Too much time on my hands? YUP!
