That's a bit sad. Spent quite some time working on this character and would have loved a Dark Sun game.

As the insect takes to the sky, seemingly without wings, Amunet-Ra's jaw drops for a moment.
So the ancient tales about swarms of kreen coming over the lands flying and eating everything they could might be true after all. What a horrible scenario!
She then shakes her head violently and murmurs

You're right, the sheet needs some cleaning, some things aren't supposed to be there, like some of the weapons. That was just from playing around and forgotten.
Vow of poverty is nice, but ingame it's just a big butt pain.

Before everyone goes ballistic here though, i did not ask for any metal sword or the like.
In fact, that would spoil some of my plans, which might or might not be the GMs intent, i don't know.
I'll just go along with it and see what happens, don't even know whether that weapon is usable or not.

What would i gain from helping you there? I should also talk about this with the rest of my tribe, else they think you try to abduct an innocent elf maiden like me, carry me away as a slave or something. That would certainly lead to some trouble for your caravan.

After being spoken to by someone else seemingly close by, the elf realizes how she had let herself be carried away by her playful nature and short blush can be seen on her face as she descends from the sky like stepping down the stairs from a throne.

I have to admitt, i'm not as fast as you in the sky, nor can i stay as long as you. At least not yet or like that. You call me flesh born? Aren't you made of flesh? Or are you just a large ball of feather?

From afar everything looks small, but only fools don't know that. The sandstorm on the horizon is nothing more but a small cloud in the beginning, but when it reaches you, it can tear the flesh right from your bones or suffocate you with all the dust.

She pokes a finger onto Daqas chest.

It's too sad though. I thought you would bring some change here, something exciting, not just traders as bleak as the rest of the land struggling from one desolation to the other in a desperate bet for survival. For a moment i thought you might be someone with purpose, a goal, something that will become a tale or legend later on. Something adventurous. At least tell me where you came from, where you are going and why.

You could swear she was farther away than most could walk or run just a moment ago.

May there be shade and water in your life. Isn't the water of this oasis especially sweet? As if you can almost taste the fruits of the trees growing around it?
She has kind of a polearm in one hand, but leans on it like on a walking staff.
I see you are traveling with a caravan and animals. Unusual for one of your kind to tie themselves down with such slow and burdensome beasts. And you are traveling with a kreen? I hope there aren't a lot more behind the dunes....May i ask from where you came and where you're headed? We don't see such illustrious company here often.

And don't worry, you are safe and welcome here, as long as nobody tries to desecrate the place and what is obvious here. Maybe you could even trade.

Changed this up a bit as hinted. Hope it will complement the party well and does not step on anyone's toes.


Yes, the psychic sorcerer was taken explicitly for that purpose, to have psychic spellcasting, which counts for the bard spellcasting as well.

There is a bard archetype that does that as well, but does not really hit the flavor of the character.
The idea is to have a rogueish, sleazy Dark Sun elf.
I went approximately by a document i found and used before for Pathfinder Dark Sun, think that stuff mimics the Dark Sun elves quite good.

Open to discuss suggestions.

I believe there was another archetype or thing that gives gives psychic casting to bards, but i'm not sure that was Paizo or 3PP, did not find it again.


This would be my character.

We should probably talk about an elven tribe that makes sense and other circumstances.

Uhm. It seems something more is going on down there. Just sealing off the wall might prevent whoever from stealing fish, but not what's going on beyond that. And the amount of kobolds we found does not add up to the amount of fish stolen somehow i think.

I really dislike this, but i'm afraid we have to go down there at least once more - once we recovered - and if it's just to make sure we got all the kobolds. I doubt we did. And then, there are still some mysteries. Did you know there are some ruins underneath? An old temple to Abadar and another shrine, as well as some sort of magical chamber and a storage room? It seems this place has some more history than i know of.

Amunet-Ra would take the time to heal everyone up, use her last spells for that as well and then take a long rest if possible.

Since we started playing this PbP i ran this module myself 3 times now.

My impression is this is a tough fight, all groups had issues here.
PF2 is overall more balanced and open to different ways than PF1, but dice luck is way more important overall.
I did have one TPK here :D mainly due to bad dice luck on the players side and me as a GM having 2 crits.
Group composition is also a key factor and certain things are stronger than others, in quite some situations.

Having a frontliner who can tank is good.
Having an option where you attack twice with one action is very good.
Having a shield with shield block or similar abilities is also very good for the frontliner.
Then, don't stand around where several monsters can full attack you. Like Amunet-Ra atm, but that seems like a good trade-off to me.

PF1 level 1 was super deadly very often as well, and PF2 gets better on level 2 as well.

Amunet-Ra curses as she sees her friends go down, but focuses on the threat at hand. Making some gestures and incantations, she engulfs the two monsters in a shower of flames.

I ran several quests and scenarios and it was a lot like this, yeah.
Whenever possible everyone stops to heal and refocus.

I also found it rather difficult and deadly without doing that.

It seems they have not noticed us yet. We could retreat, tend to your wounds and come back then.

20 Minutes of treat wounds might do wonder there. Also Staryth was actually healed before by me if i remember right, not sure whether he applied that or not.

The cellar is very curious already, but this place adds even more mystery. How does it fit in with the rest? What has been here before?

Maybe now that this creature retreated to wherever we should use the chance and take a close look at the other 2 orbs. Obviously it doesn't go into the water, you can stay here and shoot it from the water should it reappear, i'm taking the chance!

Amunet-Ra dashes into the room to the eastern orb, taking a look at it, if it seems harmless laying her hands on it and trying to bring it back with her...
