Thanks do you want to roll init for everyone or should we roll?

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

I can roll initiative.

*Daqas Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

*Borak Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

*Tkk-tkk Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

*Zok Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

*Elaine Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

---------------------------------------------------------------
Kirres' Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

The Kirres go first. Actuality, I'm waiting for other surprise round actions, but I can't wait a week.

The Kirres advance, looking for good deer meat. They advance 20 feet.

Seeing the two large carnivores moving closer, Børak charges the nearest; lifting his Macahuitl in both hands chopping at the beast.

You managed to create a wound with your weapon. However, your weapon is stuck, and it will take a round to dislodge it.

That was a significant air blast, since the Kirre was damaged by the air blast.

Horns? Yeah, the Kirre has horns. Now it's Zok's turn.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Zok is returning with his dead deer when he saw that you were battling two Kirre. Zok readies his sling and fires!

Zok's sling attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

The last Kirre tries to disengage from the fight. But he's too wounded to do so. He can only do a slow crawl.

Tkk-Tkk's air blast put the last Kirre out of its misery.

Looking up at the Kreen, Børak nods. Cleaning the blood off his Macahuitl in the sand, he draws one of his Slodak's and begins to skin the two Kirre.

Elaine smiles ruefully and tucks her bow away, then begins digging a pit.

"If you can drag it over this way we can prepare it. We'll bury the bits we don't want separately. Actually, we'll probably need several holes. One for the offal and one to do some regular cooking in, if someone wants to get started on those."

Taking 10 on survival, Elaine has a 25.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Awesome. The day wanes to night as you started cooking and preparing the deer.

EltonJ was Børak's survival rolls high enough to harvest the Slodaks' hides?

After stopping to help with the camp, Børak continued working on the hides to prep them for sale or use in crafting.

Yes, they were.

Tkk-tkk will help in preparing the meat. With four clawed hands, she doesn't need tools to render the corpses. She separates everything, assuming that the crafters will find a use for the parts.

As the Kreen helps rend the corpses, Børak nods, collecting some to the bones, claws and teeth to possibly use for making weapons later.

As the evening wind downs, he returns to where he laid his gear. Writing on the slate, he turns and holds it up showing the others,

Sure. - responds Daqas, towards Boraq - I can do the middle watch through the dark of night. While I require rest, it doesn't need to be continuous.

The aarakocra looks focused, austere almost, but absolutely within his usual no-nonsensical attitude.

”Last watch for me then, I enjoy waking early.”

"I will watch while you all go unconscious." says Tkk-tkk. she looks away as she says this, as if this strange behavior is contagious.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Joshua and the others have their tents broken out. "Well, that is that," he says. "It's enough, that is for sure."

He turns to Tkk-Tkk. "Well, thank you for volunteering for the watch, may the moons light your path."

'Good, with the Kreen that gives us two sets of eyes, whether Joshua keeps another watch or not.' Turning to the caravan leader,
Børak signs, "We will still keep watch, two sets of eyes are better than one." Nodding to Tkk-Tkk, Børak goes to his pack and draws out a piece of hardwood and a flint knife giving him something to occupy his hands as he paces about. At the end of his shift, he gently wakes the Aarakocra.

I'm assuming since we can only travel eight hours a day, there's no reason not to go ahead and extend the time in camp and keep a watch.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Right. You hear howling in the distance. Athasian desert wolves for instance?

Elaine snores on, her sleep unbroken by sounds in the distance.

"Of course I have frosting...Artichokes, yes...lemons?"

Assuming we can all hear the howling

Daqas pulls his backpack, in a whim, and the trained monk lifts by reflex. His falcon eyes immediately scan the horizon, concerned that they may be in danger once again.

Get ready... Danger may be falling upon us. - he says audibly, concerning himself to wake up whoever other companions are still asleep.

Once they're all up, he will fly to scout.

Hearing the warning, Børak rolls to his feet grasping the Macahuitl laying beside him and calls up his Astral skin. Seeing the giant asleep, he whistles two low chirps, hoping it would wake her.

Tkk-tkk looks over and tries to judge how close the wolves are. If they aren't close, there's no need to alarm, just caution.

Still, something was wrong. This many creatures being attracted to the caravan seems unusual.

perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20

The wolves are four miles away. And they are howling during Daqas watch. They aren't attracted to the caravan, that's so. They probably killed another animal.

Tkk-tkk will circle down to signal that they aren't a threat right now. "They are miles away, we need to keep an eye out, but people can go back to being dead."

She pauses, realizing this wasn't right. "Asleep. You can go back to being asleep."

Hearing that the wolves are miles away, Børak looks towards Elaine, now hoping his whistle didn't wake her. If it did he will smile and shrug in an apology for waking her.

Returning to his bed roll he released the psychic armor and laid the large weapon on his right side, as is his habit, and quickly went back to sleep.

Was considering progressing to the morning, but thought Maybe I should wait, in case something more happens.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Nothing else happened that night. Even on the last watch. The sun started to rise. The sunrise was perfect when everyone got up.

"Good morning, sun's not up yet, but we're going to need to be walking. It'll be nice when it rises, but better it rise when we're away than sleeping, eh?"

Elaine gets her share of the beasts loaded and the caravan underway.

As the others rise, Tkk-tkk greets them. Before dawn she digs out a small area and covers herself with sand to meditate and prepare for the day. Then she takes to the sky and circles to scout out a good path for the caravan.

survival: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26

Nodding in response to Elaine's 'good morning' Børak eats a cold breakfast of cooked meat while he feeds and waters his crodlu. After refilling his waterskins, he packs his gear and saddles his crodlu. Taking a moment, he withdraws his navigators kit from his pack and spreads it out. Noting where they were, he looked the direction they were heading to fix the image in his mind. Returning the set of sticks, stones and strings to its case, he put away the navigation tool, and waits for the signal from Joshua to head out.

Once everyone is ready and in place, Børak mounts and gives a low whistle, touching the crodlu's flanks with his heals, letting it know they were on the move.

Once we're underway, he will take 10(23) on perception and take 10(27) on survival to prevent getting lost.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

After everyone had their morning meal, the caravan sets off again, following the coast road. "Just make sure no one gets lost," said Joshua.

I trust the 27 on survival to prevent getting lost will suffice?

Smiling at Joshua comment, Børak hand signs back "Not to worry." He pauses, looking to the sky to make sure his two forward observers were ahead. Nodding to Elaine, he touched his heals to the Crodlu's flanks. As the bipedal lizard jumped forward, he gave a loud whistle and motioned forward.

Staying about a hundred feet in front of the caravan, Børak kept a keen eye out for any trouble.

He will take 10(23) on perception, how often do you want survival checks?

Not that often. But often enough to tell me that you conscious about survival. Once a week is fine.

Joshua leads the caravan around the bend on the way of the sea. "We are nearly there on the tablelands."

"Shall we send scouts?" he asked.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Joshua then nods, "Agreed, Tkk-Tkk and Daqas should scout ahead."

I imagined that guarding in front of the caravan we were out front about a hundred feet

Turning back from his advanced position Børak arrived in enough time to see the Kreen and Aarakocra volunteer to scout ahead by air. Having flying scouts gave the caravan a distinct advantage, but they may need ground support. Gesturing toward the giant Elaine, Børak signed. "Elaine and I shall scout ahead on the ground, following our fliers to lend support as needed."

When the discussion is over Børak touches his heels to the crodlu's side. Causing it to trot after the flying scouts, a pace the animal could keep all day. Loosening his lance in its scabbard he keeps one eye on the path ahead and the other on their flying companions..

Will take 10 (23) on perception scouting
