Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (extract of aloe vera)
Range Touch
Target one creature
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Fortitude negates (harmless); see text; Spell Resistance yes

The study of magic, and the requirements of extended dungeon delving preclude extended periods in the sunlight. This simple spell was created make up for the lack.

This spell causes the targets skin to become tanned as if they have spent 8 hours in direct sunlight.

This spell has no effect on creatures with vulnerability to sunlight.

With that the stats are:

Exotic Weapon: Kusarigama
This weapon consists of a chain with a kama on one end and a weight on the other. The kusarigama requires two hands to wield, but the wielder can only use one end at a time, switching between the two is a free action.

Kama end: 1d6 damage (medium), 19-20 x2, slashing.

Weight end: 1d4 damage (medium), x2, bludgeoning.
10' Reach weapon
Special: a character with exotic weapon proficiency (kusarigma) can use the weight end to make trip and disarm attacks, after a successful trip, the weight end can be used for a drag maneuver.

@InfernosReaper: You make a good argument
That would make the stats:

Kama end: 1d6 damage (medium), 19-20 x2, slashing.

Weight end: 1d4 damage (medium), x2, bludgeoning, nonlethal.
15' Reach weapon
Special: a character with exotic weapon proficiency (kusarigma) can use the weight end to make trip and disarm attacks

I don't think it should be a double weapon because of balance, and the way the weapon was used historically. Having the weight be nonlethal leaves the chain for maneuvers and the kama for damage, otherwise the 15 ft reach is a bit much.
But should there be an option for a drag, grapple or entangling maneuver?

Scarab Sages

It seems to me that the kusarigama fits the rule better whan you divide it into two weapons. The weighted chain, which has reach, and the sickle, which does not.

Deadly Aim makes archery, don't get caught without it. It's the best 1 feat investment I can think of for your description.

You can't depend on spells or other magic to stay up, they can be interpreted to need sleep to replenish.

The easiest way to never sleep is..... play an elf.

"Though elves are immune to magical sleep effects, the
idea that they never rest is a myth. Instead, though
they do not fall unconscious the way other humanoids
do, elves may enter a deep trance that has the same
refreshing effect on the mind as human sleep. An elf
only needs to meditate in this fashion for 4 hours per
day, though some prefer longer periods. During this rest,
an elf performs habitual mental exercises, reviews old
memories, allows his intuition to seek enlightenment,
and so on. Some mischievous elves enjoy perpetuating
the myth that their kind is always awake and elven towns
have no beds; the truth is that while some elves prefer
to meditate in a chair or on a couch, others enjoy the
comfort of an actual bed."
-The Elves of Golarion pg 5

You should be able to make a perception check from your trance. Then just trance with your back to a wall.

A lot of the prestige classes in the APG are based off of focusing on one particular class feature and expanding. Natures warden on the animal companion, master chymist on the mutagen. Matador could be an excellent thematic choice for an expansion on the cavalier's challenge.

Alternatively this might be good as a new order as opposed to a prestige class.

I always thought that a sorcerer/monk would make a stellar gestalt. Unarmed strikes with touch spells. Free hands to cast. Fighting unarmed with Flurry of Blows will allow casting with the equivalent of a two weapon style.

Scarab Sages

Read this guide:
Treantmonk's Guide to Bards

especially look at the section on the "Brute Bard"

A magic circle against alinement , focused inward.
Seems plausible at least.
Not familiar with banshees so I don't know which alinement.

A solo game is also an opportunity to try a stealth approach without being hindered by unstealthy party members. Get the sneak attack from actually sneaking.

Prestige into Shadowdancer to get the shadow as a flanking buddy.

The (deity) indicates that the caster must be a follower of that deity.

The cat is not sentient, and is therefore incapable of acting either good or evil. All animals are naturally neutral.

Scarab Sages

But specifically as a servant of Lamashtu, you might want to just pick one of the Overarching goals of the deity as your character's Secret Agenda. Act like your average neutral adventurer, save when it benefits your agenda. For flavor, throw in the occasional slip, where the Evil shines through the mask.

For Lamashtu:
1)Promote the spread of monsters, the stronger and more bizarre the better.
2) Wipe out the infidels (Monsters) who do not show proper respect.
3) Take an unnatural interest in a teammate such as the Aberrant sorcerer, or the Druid's animal companion.
4) Pose as a follower of another faith and discredit them. Try Pharesma.

Best stick to only one or two of these, subtlety is the idea, at least at first.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

One idea I've been contemplating is Evil, but a nice guy. This works if you view Evil as the belief that just because someone is alive doesn't mean their life is inherently valuable. So This would be the character who would gladly torture and kill strangers as a favor to his buddys.

"The shopkeeper was cheating you. I cut off his hands, heres your money back." (smiles genuinely)

I immediately thought Master-Blaster from Beyond Thunderdome.

For some more variety, have a set of Saints. Dedication to a Saint would give one alternate domain and an alternate favored weapon.

Example
Saint Micheal
Domain: War
Favored Weapon: Longsword

Though perhaps it would be easier to just have an alternate domain. Much easier if the subdomains from the APG are used.

This results in taking one Domain from the "Main" list, and one from the Saint.
