Ditto what everyone's said. Life is rough for me too, so I feel ya.

I'm thinking Zenderholm would get a great idea, since we have some built in pull and they've seen with one of their own what happens when people are hungry.

Definitely have interest in the Masterwork Guisarme, since it gives the big guy a reach option.

Akrem'dar just remains quiet, the look on his face showing that this is all quite, quite strange to him.

I'm a bit exhausted tonight and phone and computer are of limited use after being at the hospital all day. Someone NPC my rolls of attack (since I'm the most capable of surviving an attack or two), and I will see you all in the morning.

Ah. Ok. Then I guess, instead, we'll just spend all of Akrem'dar's round trying to get as close to I14 as possible. ^_^; lol

Elli, I was moving to try and give Cedric a flank, if I could, because I thought there was a reefer just south of Cedric. And moving that far would probably get me an AoO. At least I think.

Thanks...leaving Akrem'dar to die a most horrendous death. :P Feel the love. lol Nah. I know you wouldn't get Akrem'dar killed.

Is there something right to the north of Akrem'dar, enemy wise? It looks like it on the map, but I can't tell what. If it's something there, alter the attack for that, but if I'm just seeing things wrong...well...move to L13 if possible

Akrem'dar decides it's best to give his friends another lesson in damaging the enemy. And so, he takes several quick steps, swinging his earth breaker at the "This is a hammer, runt!"

Akrem'dar accepts the threat of danger, knowing that danger equals fun!

Crush the Bug-Lobster: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 + 2 - 1 = 24
Damage: 2d6 + 5 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6) + 5 + 2 + 3 = 19

Possible Reefclaw AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Grab: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Poison Save vs DC 13: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

So I'm really having a rough day today, medically. Hands shaking bad and I'm more than a wee bit disoriented, so this'll probably be it from me, for the night. I'll try to post a bit more tomorrow, despite an early work shift. Thanks for understanding.

Akrem'dar continues to rage, not against the dying of the light but against the aggressive dying overgrown lobster.

Swing: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 26
Damage: 2d6 + 5 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2) + 5 + 2 + 3 = 16

Confirm: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) + (2, 6) = 20

Akrem'dar howls out when his hammer crushes the beastie, his eyes darting about to the next target.

Poison Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

"Oh! I love seafood!" The giant of a man grins as the energy washes through him, removing all the pain from the nasty little creature. He decides to respond, with crushing force, his hammer leaving the shell greatly damaged, large chunks barely hanging on.

Earthbreaker PA: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 5 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 5 + 2 + 3 = 17

Apparently I rolled the damage for a SMALL earthbreaker last time. lol His definitely isn't fall

Well then I guess Akrem'dar will head to the other spot taken up by the unconscious guy.

Akrem'dar takes a small step forward. 5 foot step to M10 He'll wait to see if there is surrender, if not...His hammer swings with killing force this time, knowing that even with one hit, he can't kill. But he can sure hurt. And hurt, he intends to do.

Swing: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 25
Damage: 1d10 + 5 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 + 3 = 15 Base modifier on weapon+bonus from raging+PA bonus

Akrem'dar grunts in irritation. "Oh no, you're not pulling this s%*& on me." The anger flows through him and his muscles begin to bulge. "I'm going to crush you..."

Starting rage and heading for Baldrago.M9

He gives his hammer a proper swing this time, not wanting to chance letting them do more damage to his friends. The swing goes wide though, thanks to the overzealous power behind it.

Subdual PA: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 9
Damage: 2d6 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 12

Round 1/7. 3 extra HP brings his total to 18 HP. AC 13

If Close Enough For An AoO:

AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10

Apparently both Akrem'dar and Tolenn are bothered.

Akrem'dar grins widely, finally in his element again. With the signature weapon in his hand, he decides that the time to strike is now. Move to N9

I'm gonna assume flanking bonus from Cedric. Thanks, by the way! Subdual damage.

Swing dah Hammah!: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 4
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9

Oh! What a time for this!

Akrem'dar joins in the peeking, trying to remain as quiet as possible.

Perception Peek-a-boo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

I have been swamped with work. First week of the store being open, and we've broken sales records left and right. It's been intense, and they don't allow computer access while at work.

Akrem'dar will follow as well, trying not to run into anything or make any great ton of noise.

Akrem'dar grins. "What is it they say about bulls and china? I'll try not to be the bull."

And that is when he goes quiet.

The giant of a man uses the earthbreaker as a tool for stretching his shoulders and arms as he listens. "No offense, but these royal types spend time much time being overly complicated."

"I'll see what I can find out about these rogue elements you're talking about. I'm not the smartest, but I've got a few great elements around that I know."

The Shoanti speaks up momentarily. He clears his throat after having been quiet so long and continues.

"I think we can easily take him down, and I'm not precisely the person most guards would want to square off against." To emphasize, he stretches, showing just how much taller and heavily muscled he is than his companions, chuckling.

Akrem'dar nods slowly. "So we begin the journey of heroes? I think it works well in our favor and definitely could do the city some good. I'll join in this."

The Shoanti flexes slightly, getting his muscles relaxed. "I mean, after all, the seedy underground can't stay with so much power forever."

"Akrem'dar." the big man says, keeping his response brief. The thumb of his dominant hand rubs against his forefinger, an obvious nervous tick as this is the first time anyone in the group has seen him without a weapon within hand's reach.

The large Shoanti takes a deep breath, the same sort of action someone would take when a sealed bandage was ripped off their skin as he removes his meager collection of weaponry. The very last he hands over is his earth breaker. He looks to the one collecting.

"One warrior to another, please keep them safe." he asks in almost a reverent tone, obviously taking great pride in his weaponry.

Once he is disarmed, he shifts from one foot to the other, obviously not comfortable without the things he so strongly identifies with.

Akrem'dar just shakes his head, continuing to grin, especially at the properly disarmed comment. From his size and build, it's obvious that Akrem'dar could still handle himself without his hammer.

Akrem'dar whispers back, smiling slightly. "Aww, you take all the fun out of it."

At least the big man seems to be willing to joke around a bit, as they walk.

Exactly. She drinks tea. And head tea isn't tasty.

"Bad blood may have worked in the past, but now it's just poison that'll kill the city. It's good to see that there are people of all births wanting a part of things getting better."

The Shoanti just sighs, shaking his head and nodding to the warriors as he passes them, showing the simplest of respect to those who have devoted to the same soul.

"I'm not real familiar with this meeting of royals, so just put me where I need to stand."

I approve of the as soon as possible everyone together route. Less splitting up is good.

Akrem'dar leans over to Cedric and whispers. "Sounds like my buddy Eddie might be able to tell us some of what's going on. He's got an ear to the ground for a lot of the city."

Akrem'dar continues watching the situation, realizing this is exactly why he doesn't try to have complex conversations. Fists speak so much mores simply.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Akrem'dar raises an eyebrow when Ash gets in arms reach, seeming to respond a bit to the sound, which the Shoanti can only assume is not free.

Akrem'dar simply stands there with his arms crossed, nodding to the ones with visible weapons, in a way that only one warrior to another can understand. Better that he just not speak and let the others do the talking.

Akrem'dar gives Cedric the look that all men know. The one that says this is a bad time to make this woman angry.

With weaponry slung across his back, he stoops a bit in preparation to enter the building, knowing that he will bump his head on the door frame otherwise.

"So it's getting info here? Cause I'll be hells bent if I hand the jewels off to him."

Akrem'dar is with Ash on this one. Don't sell to the scumbag.

"It'll never get to its rightful owner this way." Akrem'dar says simply.

"It's hard not to be noticed when you're this big." the Shoanti chuckles, trying to lighten the mood a bit as he also remains vigilant. He obviously is used to being watched, just not in this form.

"Think we'll get this to the right people today? Or just to someone who wants it."

Seems a fair plan. Or at least an idea of "hey, you want this, so we have a feeling you know to get this to the right person. Akrem'dar wants more of the spotlight on this group for their heroic, city-saving deeds. lol that took everything i had to write that with a straight face.

Akrem'dar chuckles and lays the earthbreaker over his shoulders. "Rougher elements, Ash? I'm bigger than most of them. I walk in with you all, and I don't think they'll cause us any problems that I can't quickly put down."

"Well, can't be too awful. Definitely could be alright to do that tomorrow. I'm needing to find someone who can make some boots out of that ol' croc skin from a few nights ago." He pauses to think, then looks to everyone assembled.

"I think that I also need to introduce you all to the information broker I know. A former Lamm, like me, who could probably tell us quite a bit. His name is Eddie Gin. Also, there's another Shoanti I know, who might could tell us if those...Skullcrackers are on the move."

The big guy seems quite open and energized about doing things.

Actually, Akrem was quite interested. I was just forced to work a double shift and have been trying to play catch up. But yeah, I do like the ideas you've put up.

Akrem'dar has a good information broker contact that I've been meaning to introduce to the other characters. That and make Skendar the Rat some boots to make up for scaring the bejesus out of him.

And onwards we go!

Sorry. Had a power outtage at my house and had some damage to my windshield yesterday that I had to deal with, so I'm sorry for the delay.

"Definitely interested. And I think the guy's name was Amin Jalento, from House....Oh, what was it..." He pauses and thinks. "Oh yeah! Zenderholm."

"Yeah, it was gonna be mob violence right outside. He threw a partially eaten apple away. Part of it was rotten, so you can't blame him, but a big crowd showed up and tried to beat him to death. I convinced him to help them out later and make sure ye families didn't starve. He seemed real grateful and said he'd let the higher ups in his bunch of nobles know about what I did to save him." the big man flexes proudly, finally able to accomplish something.

The Shoanti grins slightly. "Sounds like a worthwhile time to visit one of my contacts. He's an information guy and a former Lamm, so I owe him a visit anyways to celebrate. We had a noble almost killed in front of the house today, but I think we made a decent friend."

All seems good to me.

"That would be a great help, and hopefully that'll show her that we all aren't horrible miscreants in the lower classes." He seems to understand the way these people think, and is glad to have helped regardless. "Best to get back to your part of town, though and to stay under a bit of guard."

He pats the man on the shoulder. "Survive and thrive, my friend."

DM:

"Name's Akrem'dar and you got the rough end of that one. What happened?" he asks while the man pumps his hand. "I mean, was it really that simple?"

[spoiler=DM]
"Yeah, I agree with you that it's not very thoughtful, but if your neighbor did that, would you be singling him out?" The big man points out at them.

Pausing a moment, he leans on the hammer. "So what if we get this rich guy, who can obviously afford to let food go to waste, help you all with your food needs for awhile? Obviously one guy can't do a ton for each of you without ending up in one of the poor houses himself, but I'd say that every little bit helps, wouldn't you all say?"

He grins, letting the thought sink in for a moment, before looking at the man and then to the crowd. "So here'll be the deal: you help the people of this city, starting with each family in this crowd, and they let you walk away with the amount of injuries you have right now?"

He then looks to address the crowd. "And you folks will disperse and let the man keep his word to you all? Or will you stoop to doing things that even the worst of your ancestors would deem shameful?"

DM:

"Yep, there's 10 folks in the crowd, but only one of you. And all you need to take down a tree is to take down the trunk, not the branches. And what got me out here? You woke me up from my sleep, that's what!"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

That was dang close to taking the whole crowd down!

DM:

"So what? You think hitting him, killing him will change anything? You all know as well as I do that we'd all wake up tomorrow up tomorrow and be in the same position, if not work. You wanna fight someone, fight someone who's been hit by the worst of what the city had to offer."

He makes his way towards where the man is, exposing his right shoulder, to show the ton of scar tissue. "People like Lamm messed up this city. Yeah, this guy looks different and has probably lived a different life than all of us. But would you want to be where he is right now?"

He moves in front of the man and puts the head of the earth breaker on the ground. "So you've got a choice now: stop or go through me. And trust me, the rumors you've heard about my kind's strength...they're true."
