Earlier - As I forgot to include the description of the brewery's office following Kayin's search. Kayin peers around the room. A small table holds a dry, empty flagon and a plate with some hardened meat. A small knife with a ornate wooden handle is planked between the plate and table. Across the room is a small desk. A leather bound book is open to a ledger discussing recent sales of their various brewthe s. Another older book contains several recipes and discussions on the brewing of beers and ales. As Kayin turns to leave, he kicks something metal across the floor. A large silver coin rolls away from the oracle and stops between Aerryndöl's feet. She bends down and picks it up, flipping it between her fingers. She flashes one side towards Kayin which holds a large "G" engraved into the metal. "Odd coin... don't recognize the minting, but..." she says inspecting it carefully. "It is made of silver. Not that coins are worth much these days," she concludes with a shrug and pockets the coin.

@Titan - Working on them. :) "Burglar? That's rude. Are you implying that I take things that aren't mi... no, that's larceny. Burglary is," she scratches her head amoment looking up into the dark sky for inspiration. "Oh, yea. Burglary is the unlawful entry into a building or dwelling with the intent to commit a crime, especially theft. And that, would be an inaccurate assessment of my intent. So, offense taken," she says looking sideways at Titan. "I'll let it slide." Aerryndöl glides up to the front doors of the brewery and listens for a couple seconds. "Yep, no one home." She flings open the door taking a step to the right and ducking behind the door for cover. Several mutilated zombie corpses lay upon the wooden floor.

@Titan - His holy days centered around the phases of the moon rather than a specific day of the week. I had begun to work out the phases but with them vanishing from the sky in the Shaping, I slacked off on the concept. I can look back into it, if you'd like the flavor. @Titan - I forgot Bjorkus was infested as well, correct? If so, he can make his Fort save. Aerryndöl looks back and forth at Kayin and Muraisa. "Oh... I just figured... nevermind," she says with a shrug. Turning her attention to Titian. "Never passed their precious trials, so can't really call myself a diviner," she mumbles with quite of bit of disrespect in her voice. "I've just picked up a few tidbits here and there. Whatever was handy... and useful."
Former Initiate of the Visum Sodalitate, the Bright Tower.
@Kayin & Muraisa - You need 2 consecutive saves to be cured. Each now has 1. We'll do another check the next day. Well done. "Haven't spent much time there," Aerryndöl says rolling her eyes. Without another word, she turns and heads down the road past the Laughing Crow Inn which seems to always be bustling. As you near the brewery, Aerryndöl slows down to let the party catch up with her. "Looks like the front door is closed."

1d12 ⇒ 7 18th of Selefis, 7995 E.C. The party collects Kayin's belongings and hauls them to Muraisa's tent where they manage some much needed rest. After a night under the stars, Bjorkus nudges Titan awake. The hunter looks into the dark skies wondering where the moons have gone. It is Sanctumday, the 18th of Selefis. A day of worship and prayer, as he had been told so many times by his grandfather. After the rest of the party has awoken and eaten, they make for the barricades to the Point. A pair of worn guards struggle to stay awake. It isn't that dangerous of positions now that the threat is being pushed back, but the yawns come not from boredom but fatigue. Just beyond them, Aerryndöl sits upon the old, wooden planks of a bench. She waves a single hand in recognition as the party arrives at the entrance to the city. "So, where to boss?" she says to Muraisa.

Aerryndöl rolls her eyes at Thomas. "Sure. Fine. Help the rif-raf find a place to live. Got it, Three," she says with a not so subtle reminder that Gunther has taken vows to protect the Visum Sodalitate and its leader, Bærwynnd, the First Hazard of Talanor. Without asking for leave of the nobleman, she strides to the corner and grabs a sheathed rapier. She pushes past Kayin and ducks under Muraisa's arms to step into the hallway. She gives Bjorkus another look over, ignoring Titan before heading down the hallway. "Let's go... we're burning dayliii... er, time."

No objection to Totho opening the door, but I'm having issues with the map. I see the building for an instant before a white grid with A-K on one axis and 1-11 on the other axis overlays the entire map. So, I really can't see the layout of the room, any doors, or where the bad guys are positioned.

"Are there any other exits to the room and did you see whether they had any ranged weapons? I could fill the room with a deep mist that would let them see, and force them to come out to us... if you think that would be beneficial. That is assuming they don't just acquiesce to our demands."

At the mention of witches, Aerryndöl looks up. "Your, um... Highness, what can you tell us of the Witches of the North? That is, if we are to follow the... herd... to find our doe, and should we encounter these witches, what should we expect?"

Aerryndöl looks on in delight as the bard ceremoniously dialogues with the great, white stag. What a thing of beauty... both the stag and Risquelyn speaking with such elegant tongues. I wish I could talk with such grace... The witch looks down, not wanting to challenge the "king" or disrupt their discourse.

@GM - If we're next up in the initiative order, even if it's a different round, would you like us to post or wait for your update? @Totho & Risk - My standard MO is to evil eye to lower saves then get misfortune on the baddies.... then start firing my bow. With the softness of the current creatures, would you prefer I just go into combat mode first. Then as we start to see tougher creatures, head down the hex route first before firing arrows? Right now, only 1 of my 3 spells slots would require a save by an opponent, so the misfortune is really there just to mess with their attacks against one of us. Thoughts/Preferences?

Aerryndöl looks up startled by the snowman's animation."Oh! It's not that we can't read, mind you. But rather, we didn't give it much regard."

"Risquelyn, speaks true. There is a magical effect placed upon the snowman," Aerryndöl nods as she concentrates on the magical auras trying to determine the type of magic that has created them. Cast Detect Magic & concentrate for multiple rounds to get the school if possible.

Appraisal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 Aerryndöl marvels at the jewelry for a moment. "I've had some experience valuing items for sale, but I've never seen such beautiful stones as these. I'm afraid I'm a bit clueless as to their value, Totho. But, I agree with Risquelyn that we should hold them for the Lady." The witch looks to find the trail of the bandits. Aerryndöl knocks an arrow preparing to strike down the fleeing wyrm but stops short of releasing it upon Totho's words. "We may see it again... and in an inconvenient moment," she scowls. Giving it a final look, she then turns back to the carnage and retrieves her arrow from the dispatched zombie. "Do you think this," she says pointing to the zombies, "was one of the members of the lady's court, arisen from beyond or an undead feasting upon the corpses?"
