In that case, it always works. Wouldn't the Metamagic fade because you used an Eidolon Strike? I'm a bit worried because of the wording on Metamagic is quite harsh. ![]()
![]() I'm currently theory crafting a few Summoner builds (my table uses the Free Archetype Variant rule), and one I'm particulary interested in using the Magaambyan Attendant and Halcyon Speaker archetypes. Both these Archetypes not only offer additional spells, but also some very awesome Metamagic (Yes Synergistic Spell is the reason I made this post). But I'm wondering, can a Summoner even use any Metamagic properly? So far I always assumed Act Together was something comparable to a "passive skill". Once per turn you do something (like Cast a Spell with 2 actions) and it passively enabled the Eidolon/Summoner to gain a simultaneous action. Instead of it being an "active" skill. In my head I visualize it like this: A. Metamagic -> (Summoner Cast a Spell + Eidolon Strike) = Act Together -> remaining B. Metamagic -> Act Together -> (Summoner Cast a Spell + Eidolon Strike) -> remaining In the first case a Summoner would be able to use Metamagic, just spend an action for the Metamagic, next Cast a Spell with 2 actions trough Act Together and have your Eidolon go at it with the extra action. But in the second case this wouldn't work because of the wording on Metamagic TL;DR: Is a Summoner able to use Metamagic during Act Together, or is the class locked out from it during it? ![]()

That's why I provided a possible idea on how to fix this. The essence of my post is to offer a solution that is agreeable for both camps. Which is kind of needed, because we have an example of a service where it didn't happen. But if you focus on only the first sentence of my post and ignore everything else it's not weird that you missed this. ![]()

Good for you. I've spend more than a thousand euro's already and I'm not persuaded by flashy lick of paint to spend hundreds more for stuff I ALREADY own. This is a sentiment I've seen shared on all spaces I've visited, so I'm not the only one feeling like this. Demiplane needs to find a way to make this attractive to the existing current base or this site will be dead on arrival. Just look at HLO. that site has been available since the release of the system and barely has any users nor fame within the community. Nexus will suffer exactly the same fate as that site if they don't find a way to make it interesting for existing customers. D&D Beyond worked because of the ecosystem created by WOTC, which is totally different from the PF2e ecosystem and the community surrounding it. A 1 to 1 copy will fail. Very few will recommend this to new players when AON and Pathbuilder/Wanderer's Guide are around and do the same thing for free, albeit less flashy. This site will have the same popularity as HLO, minus those who already paid for HLO. Mind you, I don't think the site itself is bad or anything. But they need to find a way to convince the current players to use it if it wants to have longevity.. These issues are luckily not insurmountable. Most of us will be interested in this site for the character builder and manager. Either make that part of the app free or available for an interestingly priced subscription fee and many will flock to it. ![]()
![]() While I was excited at first, my excitement quickly faded when I noticed I would have to buy literally everything again at a rather steep price. As someone who has bought every PF2e item (the deluxe versions of the core books, all Lost Omens, 2 full AP's, the beginner box, and add-ons like spell cards) from his local game shop, this really stings. Choosing to support my local stores not only means I have to buy everything again, but I would even have to buy it at full price because the discount is only for those who bought their stuff on this website. I really hope they will offer a subscription formula or don't require you to buy the books to utilize the character options in the character builder. Right now I fear this app will not be for me. Or most other long time customers for that matter. This seems aimed at new players (for who this will definitely be a good thing). I know it is wrong to say (and not exactly true), but to me it feels like the current way of how nexus will function pisses on the old customer base. Edit: A quick calculation tells me I'm 1350+ euro deep in PF2e, I hope it's clear why I feel it stings that people like me are kind of left behind here. ![]()

He mentions this was not done in retaliation. Which means it is literally a he said she said situation at this point. Who is right? Who is believable? That's a debate I'm not starting. But over the past hours a lot has become more clear and apparent. ![]()
![]() I feel like the Inquisitor is one of the easier concepts to make a full class out of. There is so much breadth to it, so much that can be added or expended upon. The announcement of the Thaumaturge and the existence of the other Divine classes (or even a rogue with a divine archetype) does not limit the Inquisitor designspace. ![]()
