Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

I too am ready with blade in hand and sheild at the ready

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Let us move and find what we are looking for guestures to the door

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

we know little about them as yet; but they are organized; well trained, well equipt and have a rigid code of beliefs from what I ahve seen today; if have have numbers as well, and can controll weilders of the One Power; they could be a terrible enemy and vast threat to the Dragon distracting him from Tai Gaimon, If they all serve the shadow; we need tofind out more about them and find their weakness

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

what is beyond the door then..

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

If we go indoors; A'mar will put away his bow and noched arrow and take out his sheild and sword.

-----
A'mar speaks with a Kandoori accent

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

If the shadowsouled have these traveling gateways like what I have seen in the last week or so, this place could be overwhelmed before it resists without the aid of the Aiel, or any such place in the South is at risk. I for one am glad I dont have figure out how to deal with it. Patroling my section of the Blight was hard enough; with Gateways; Ptah, this is going to get really ugly really fast. Even vermin can be deadly if there are enough of them

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar smiles the would be the heavy part, Duty, I figure to hand out a lot of feathers to the shadowstained. This organized encampment right under our noses, this type of planning means there is likely fall back plans and thus fallback sites.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar will keep his bow readied as he is in the middle of the marching order and keep careful watch for any who might be lying in ambush of his Aes Sedai as we travel.

Have caution Vala Sharise of Fal Dara, Duty is as heavy as a mountain, death light as a feather. The Dragon is not as you would expect and neither is madness far from those close to him.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

GM; can A'mar hear these comments?

Vala " the Swan" wrote:

Vala watches the man die and than looks at the Aiel that had killed him and wore a stoic face as she looked to the others. Her elaborate breastplate and swords stuck out in contrast to her other gear. She pulled off her helm and rested it under her arm and let her braided topnot down. She wore a hadori and looked at the others as she gripped the cloth and squeezed it.

" I still am needed to know what is going on here, Aei Sedai! Ogier fighting Ogier, Strange accented warriors, Darkfriends!" She paused as she felt her brow furrow in anger and than breathed a few times to center her self." Some one Please tell me what is going on, Especially about the Aiel! I mean I came south to seek the Dragon Reborn, and lend my blade to his army, and find..find strange things! trollocs south of the blight! Aiel! I mean what is going on here?" She was unsure of what was going on, she was semi relaxed, but not enough to be caught off guard, she could still spring to action and cut all but the channelers to ribbons if need be, but she didn't think it would come to that.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Not sure what is going on and who is the bad guy; A'mar puts his sheild on his back and puts away his sword and gets out his bow and nocks and arrow and looks around for a target to support the group.

Tesliin Sedaii, who are these people and what are we doing here? are we finished; should we withdraw? who are our allies and who are enemies?

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar stands close to Tesliin at the ready with sword still out, just behind her watching everywhere as he doesnt know who in this gaggle is freind or foe nor if these guards and mad ogreir will return.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Certainly, she is this way, but mind you I will not be chasing after anyone and leave her undefended in this precarious position without her orders

Amorial Suth wrote:
Amorial watches the Ogier leave, "A'mar, can you bring us to Tesliin Sedai? After we regroup we must push forward!"

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

combat reflexes gives me 3 AOP that could be applied

1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Damage
1d12 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
1d12 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
1d12 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Armor stat is right per the book I have... is the only thing going for me as I feel outclassed by everyone else here.

------
using 3 power attack this roundon the Ogier that attacked me hoping for dice luck.
attack 1
1d20 + 12 - 3 ⇒ (16) + 12 - 3 = 25
damage if applicable
1d12 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 3 = 9
attack 2
1d20 + 7 - 3 ⇒ (8) + 7 - 3 = 12
damage if applicable
1d12 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 3 = 15

use 5 foot step if needed to keep things from getting between Ryland and myself.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

if needed; initiative roll
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar readies for combat; shield up and sword en gaurde

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

I am not sure what they are doing or why they are standing among the broken timbers and such, but as for death, it is death to say here as well, at least fighting we have a chance, this building IS coming down, they might can move it or hold it steady with the One Power, but such as we have little chance if this building falls on us. Do you wish to wait for the Sisters and risk Amorial? I would save him if I can.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar gets to the doorways and makes a quick survey and is aghast at the combat between the Ogier and curious about the conflict at the rear of the soldiers. He winces at the terrible blows the Ogier are inflicting, near panic at Amorial's wounds.

Ryland, this building is unstable, will fall very soon, I hope the others come quickly as there is now a huge hole in the center. I will not let them kill the Builder and I am thinking we must clear this rabble from the doorway so the Sisters can evacuate. Negotiating from a falling building is untenable. These duels are foolish, let us act in concert and clear this mess

----
How far is the fight from the doorway?

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Gm: is Ryland fighting? I imagine I see the orges fighting and generall melee in the behind them right?
-------

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

What was the result of my engineering check and am I back at the doorway?

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

GM; let me know the round I get back to the doorway; I think it will look like a general melee to A'mar with the ogier fighting and seeing a a melee at the rear which he will likely think is our Roeek coming to help us so I am thinking A'mar will charge into battle.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Engineering; untrained

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

RIZZENMAGNUS wrote:

kodukura, you heard an explosion as you stepped through the gateway. You cannot see the Aielman, and the guardsman is moving away from his post

amar, you need to make an engineering check

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Tesliin, there is a platoon of soilders at the door and some armored Ogier, we cannot hold them long [\b]
A'mar rushes back to hold the doorway.

[b] Tesliin, are you ok; how can I help!

A'mar rushes in with sword and sheild ready.

Tesliin gives A'mar a stern look as he comes in. "A'mar, please keep watch while we discuss matters."

** spoiler omitted **

"We are here seeking a friend who was taken from us."

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

What is the status of the room with teslin and the building now that there is a big hole?

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Tesliin, are you ok; how can I help!

A'mar rushes in with sword and sheild ready.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

in a bold voice

There are no Forsaken here, such warped and twisted evil I would sense Elder Ogier

A'mar looks sharply toward the direction of his Aes Sedie; then relaxes a bit.

quietly to his comrades
[b] did you hear that? the situation has changed; it may no longer be necessary to hold this place, a withdrawl might be wise, I shall go check [\b]

A'mar sprints to check the situation of Tesliin and the others.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar tries to keep careful watch of what is going on thinking this all might be a ruse, a loss here certainly would give a tactical advantage to the enemy and this supposed duel appears an interesting strategy to pull our team away from the tactical advantage of the doorway, but tries not to hold any hard feeling against those with him as to their lack of discipline as they are not soldiers.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar feels great frustration and a bit of shame at this situation that is channeled to his Aes Sedai.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

I cannot help you, my oath binds me to another path. May peace favor your sword

A'mar stands ready in the doorway fully prepared for battle.
to Ryland quietly
our duty is to guard those upstairs, out there you could be easily surrounded; this ploy seems to be effectively doing that, what is your greater duty?

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

I wonder how many of this Lost Ogeir clan of Gardeners will be comeing for their support, I wonder how all this could be here under the Aiel noses and them not no; impossible really, Aiel have sharp eyes. I wonder if Aiel play the game of Houses

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar looks at the Builder agap Peace! Is that not ...hasty

Tesliin

Spoiler:

A'mar is momentarily shaken and disturbed for a moment

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Interesting, are they nobles? trial by arms is the right of nobility against their accuser; at least in the Borderlands and I hear the Children have such a thing; though I dont know the trueth of it.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Amar yells so upstairs can hear
Their getting reenforcements; Ogier warriors

normal voice, with doubt
[b] anyone see any red sheilds [b]

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Ogier warriors! Peace! the world truly is mad. Is Gardeners a reference to Ogier Groves? I have never seen one but their are many famous ones in books. Builder, your people are so gentle and so kind; how can they be warriors, this troubles the heart. In this day we have seen many strange things; stranger more to come I should think

Tesliin

Spoiler:

A'mar's cool is broken by a wash of emotion and shock; then replaced with coldness which is his normal prelude to battle.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar in a voice of command; but still behind the wall shouts out the doorway in a calm, steady; almost boored voice.

so whom do we have, in the honor of the Light, the fortune of facing this day? Are you but misguided mercenaries we shall send to rebirth in the wheel in hopes of a Light guided return, or are you honorless Darkfriends to be crushed underfoot? Does duty and honor mean anything to you as it does to us?

A'mar takes a look at them to see how they are arrayed and their probable tactic they will use for entry.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

that was odd; he thinks us farmers, as if we hold hoes and sycles? Empress? hmm, let us remember these names; Subitie, Saske and Neij, I dont rememeber hearing their like before.

RIZZENMAGNUS wrote:

at the front

Pausing at the doorway, the soldiers appear to be hesitant at what they see before them.
a Gardner?!
no armor on him?
what is HE doing here?
He holds an axe of the Empress, May she live forever
He stands with those men
Tis a dishonor to fight a Gardner with so few men.
Get Subitie, Saske, and Neij
Yes, get them to honor the lost Gardner.

Looking past the bodies, a lone figure turns and runs as fast as he can, back to the street and out of sight.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

what does your inspire confidence do?

A'mar waits for the place to get rushed or for orders from the Aes Sedai

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar nods back.

crouches with sword and sheild ready.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Rylan, Amorial, if they rip the front off this building, we will need to form a triangle back to back in front of the stairs; otherwise; I suggest Rylan and I on either side of the door and you, Amorial, wait back up; if they push in you may need to (bull) rush them to push them back out so we are not swamped by numbers. The fallen should also help block the doorway. This is going to be messy.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

And here we go!

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

I will move down the stairs.
If we meet them at the doorway; we can limit their numbers of entry

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar advances to I-9 if that is possible for a move action with sword and sheild ready and cloaked, my thought is to attack any who come through the shrubs as it might hamper their agility and the shrubs should help conceal me as I provide a buffer between the main group and the enemy; I will use my attack action if anyone comes close.

Attack; warder sword; 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Call your Red Sheilds to Arms then Roekk, if the Light please you, let us be about this

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

without Tesliin's input, I am waiting for one of the Aes Sedai to make the decision and say somehting like; you do this; you do that; not go like they do in the books

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

Still, for the Lord Dragon the Tyrant, we should find out who they, are, how many they are; and their intentions. Has the White Tower ordered any decree about such chained Aes Sedai? it seems an abomination that must be ended.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

A'mar will step in front like a spectre; sheild ready and sword drawn. If he sees and incomming fireball, he will rush ahead and hit it with his sheild that it explode there and not on the whole party, otherwise will await the actions of the others.

I am ready

Stealth 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (3) + 19 = 22
Spot 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
forgot initiative
Init 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

We should set clear goal to victory then. In any battle, lines of withdrawl to regroup need to be set before going into action lest things go badly. Perhaps you Ashaman can just kill and cast fire and tear up earth, but the Aes Sedai will not channel to kill unless in defense. We have no idea how many troops are nearby, but perhaps the Lord Dragon would be very interested in these lightening legged users of the power. This is either sedition or a prelude to invasion. Has anyone weighed the risk to the Mistress we seek to rescue; can this be done quietly? The clash of arms, explosioins and sounds of the dying are far from quiet.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

I will stay next to my Aes Sedai to guard her unless ordered otherwise, not sure what else to do as this will apparently be a Power battle.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

if you seek to do anything her besides watch, then death is inevitable; them or us, or rather death for us and a chain for you. The wheel weaves but there is little point negotiating with shadow. I would like to know what troops or reenforcemnts they have nearby, but from what I saw at Duamaii Wells, I guess it doesnt matter.

Male Kandor Borderlander Woodsman 1, Armsman 5, Warder 2

are all the Ashaman here; what do they suggest? I do not believe we can rescue the roofmistress without removing the the threats of the women with the leashed Aes Sedai nor the threat of the warrior and odd Ogier, but this may be beyond us.
