the archetype let you alter the domain spells but keep the domain of the second one
if you for example, have second domain = fire
can you alter the spells to a subdomain "ash " ?
we are level 8.
books : core, advance, combat and magic.
no item crafting.
20 points buy and 2 traits.
i want to play a barbarian , but like 2 levels dip to add ... something else.
option 1 :
2 level nature Oracle / mouned fury XXX
why ? fatigue immune. this alone open spell sunder and other things.
full mount (dog or wolf), some minor spells and attacks.
option 2:
Human Unbreakable Fighter 2, Invulnerable Rager Barbarian XXX
why ?
DR, saves, full bab...
Option 3:
Barb 5 > thug rogue 3 > barb XXX
why ?
claws and bite with sneak attacks, fear , sicken skills.
advice?
hallo to all,
i seek any "download" or "pre made adventure" for a cool maze.
levels - 6-7 or so.
if any one know any link - i would appriciate it.
The satchel gives total cover to the familiar.
The fact it cant ve attacked is ok ...
How can a half cm thick metal box stops a fire ball?
Lighting ball?
Etc
a player wish to play a shaman of Desna.
what Spirits fit?
what are banned?
the feat says :
"Prerequisites: Aura class feature, ability to cast summon monster.
Benefit: When using summon monster to summon creatures whose alignment subtype or subtypes exactly match your aura, you may cast the spell as a standard action instead of with a casting time of 1 round."
my Q is:
if a creature is only "good" , Like "Agathion, Vulpinal" (from expanded summon monster), without LAW or CHAOS,
what god can bring it with the feat?
i have heard that some gods give extra known spells to their followers (like good hope etc).
where is the source for it? (list of spells given to a cleric of a faith)

we are starting, level 1 and up, giant slayer game.
i am aiming for a dwarf, and want to have intresting melee.
Giants offer some heavy risk, reach, rock throwing, some scouting needed, big meat-piece of HP pool.
and attack at really long range .
here are the options i though of:
1. Warpriest. Arsenal .
low skill points is the bad part. no stealth abilites.
VS reach ? use the lvl 2 spell to move without AOO.
buff ASAP and attack hard.
hammer using (long hammer and others)
blessings: good and healing take care of the self heals and some summons.
2. Ranger : Archery.
who cares of reach, cover or concelments.
learn to hate orcs > giants and you are golden.
load of skills. low on spells and a little boring (shoot...shoot...shoot...)
3. A melee Druid:
balance of skills and full caster.
i got a eral dillema between Goliath and Saurian .
Goliath = both disguise as a giant for scouting and using all the LArge weapons found. the fact you stay humanoid means your armor will be decent (full plate dragon hide), and your weapon is solid.
1 level into Ranger with the favorite enemy feat oofer a full favorite enemy progression and usag of all the weapons.
the downsides:
1. no elemental form
2. less animal forms .
Saurian :
you shift into dino's . low on Armor, but load of option.
summon as a standard action is HUGE - adding meatshileds on the board.
why elemental is important?
earth glide = getting closer or afar without AOO, and super scout abilites.
also decent as a hammer wileder earth elemental.
can any one link some official ruling on the matter ?
for the following:
the first round is clear.
i cast a spell (frost bite ) move and attack = round 1 (thats clear and legit.
now i want to :
1. use unarmed strike with the hand that hold the charge
2. OR use a claw with that hand (lets say i am a troll).
can i attack, and ALSO cause a triggered effect on the target?
a Skinshaper Druid get fly60 / good at level 9.
i found only 2 (same) flers humanoids in the game.
Strix, with fly average...
so - how can i get fly good ?
any creature i missed?
i just love the idea.
making a druid like the "faceless god" from GOT.
it was feat taxing, but well worth it.
what do you think ?
my mount is a large one (wolf after 7, warbull at lower levels.
i use reduce animal while i am riding and alter self to a small race - so mount is VERY strong, and we can charge well.
i can go into a climber, swimmer, flyer humanoid when i want.
mount can get longlasting buffs:
1. ignore hampered terrain
2. reduce animal
3. spider climb
4. air walk
5. water walk
all spells go into buffs and some little summon options.
use a scimitar, Bullette armor (fullplate) or a lance and shield.
in a city, and RP needed? buff charisma and use disguise and dimplomacy to RP like a real spy.
Yugoloth - the half demon .
traits : wisdom in a flesh and diplomacy .
1/2 elf - (1/2 drow) .
levels :
1: lance (no skill focus) + mounted combat
3: power attack
5: ride by attack
7 : spirited charge
9: heavy armor or Lunge
11: see 9
I wonder between urban druid .
The race ? Half elf.
Melee build that also has charisma and strong social skills.
Str:16
Dex:12
Con:14
Int:12
Wis:15
Cha:13
Half elf gives some more skills as well as a trait.
I want to be a decent melee that can also have strong diplomacy and social.
We start at lvl 7.
Feats options are :
A. Getting the mount back.
1. Power att + skill focus
3.eldrich heritage (animal companion)
5. Boon companion
7. Open.
Or :B. Debuffer.
.1 power att
3. Rime spell
5. Enforcer
7. Imp unarmed strike
9. Snake style
Or.C . shadow
1. Power att
3. Phalanxe formation
5. Heavy armor
7. Heritage. Shadow
9. Lunge
11. Heritage shadow. Greater.

here are what i KNOW :
1. 22 points buy
2. halfling or gnome
3. be a great mounted combat melee
4. mount = DOG.
now, class options are very, but let's first define the word "best" :
for me, a fun mounted class will need to be at least viable at 4 things:
1. charging menace
2. how to fight well when there is no charging
3. how to fight well when there is no mount at all
4. be at least be able to to 1 thing good out of combat.
so, here are 4 options i was looking at, and would like your advice.
the Mounted Fury unchained barbarian with 1 cavalier level.
1. the worst charger option here, with no bonus fears and need of boon companion feat.
2 +3 VERY good at fighting without a no mount or not charging. the lower dice and lower str are overlooked with rage and rage powers and a mount attacking with me.
4. 4 skills per lvl, no need for a casting ability = room for cha or int, skills and stealth with great perception.
the Ranger:
1. a so-so charger. you get the bonus feats early, but need boon companion, lacking a reliable + to damage for the charges hurts you (favorite enemy isnt a great thing to have)
2+3 so-so. see 1.
4: amazing. spells, 6-7 skills per lvl = very good.
the Cavalier of the sword.
1. BEST here. mount's str to damage, +4 to hit, bonus feats (and a lot of them) makes you a GREAT charger.
2+3 great boss killer (smite), poor otherwise without ANY bonus to damage or to hit. this one might be improved if taking 3 hunter levels.
4. decent. 4-5 skills per lvl is nice.
the HUNTER
1. POOREST charger here. no bonus feats or solid + to damage
2+3 great. spells, buffs, team feats abuse.
4. GREAT .spells + skills.
***** no full BAB makes me a bit worry, also MUCH lower HP.
last one : a mix.
4 levels of unchanied rogue > cavalier X.
(rogue = thug or rake + scout)
DEX based mounted combat. using elven sword (small) for dec to hit, damage, sneak attack when charging etc.
1. low charge damage, but AUTO sneak att with effects makes it a decent one.
2+3 AMAZING. debuff heaven
3. GREAT. lots of skills, dex and not str based leave a lot of room for other abilites.
so, if a summon monster can cast permenent spells , or long lasting ones (greater magic weapon for example...) .
can you summon it, and cast the spell and then it vanish and it lasts?

I love Halflings.
I love cavaliers.
I want to be intresting, but also VERY useful in combat.
here is something that charge ok, but not truck like a full order of the sword cavalier ...(which is... a good thing in my eyes...not a one trick pony.) .
the build also have :
1. tactical combat (very much...)
2. skilled character (info gatherer and scout roles)
he is a melee combatant when cant charge.
doing less charging, more attacking with mount and the other melees. BUT can do some cool charge things as well.
here it is :
abilites: str:13, Dex 17 (+1 at 4), con 14 are the main .
halfling.
level 1: Cavalier. Emissery. bonus mounted combat.
power attack + mounted combat + mount (Dog)
level 2-5 : Unchained rogue 4
archetype scout + either Thug or Rake
2: Finesse + 1d6 sneak attack
3: Rogue Talent > free feat (expertise) + Boon companion (full mount)
4: sneak +2d6
5: charge = sneak damage + rogue talent + free dubuff
and a Gang up feat. (now i auto sneak cause i flank ALL the time with mount and main fighter..)
weapon of choice = Elven curve blade = 1d8 Base , 18-20 crit range.
Scout = charge add sneak attack
If Thug than enforcer feat can make foe run & no save Sicken effect
If Rake then some bonus to skills and each attack free intimidate check.
level 6 + > return to cavalier.
6 : cav2 order ability (many options here that fit..... Cockatrise, sword, dragon all works)
7 : ride by attack (late a bit.... but it's not like i could not attack before it)
8 : nothing to show for. be VERY sad i am not a full cavalier adding mount's str... but hei.
9 : wheeling charge
10 : cav 6> free feat > spirited charge (with added sneak it's VERY good)
11: improve cirtical
12: finally. Cav 8 ..... str to damage.... sneak... crit ...
main weapon : using dex : level 5:
1d8 (elven curve blade) + 2d6 (sneak) + 6 (dex from rogue) + 6 (power attak at lvl 5) = 23.5 damage and the mount that can bite once or aid another.
to hit : 4 (bab) +4 (dex) + 1 (size) +1 (masterwork) -2 (PA) +2 (mount's aid) + 2 (flank from gang up) = +11 (not bad!)
AND a free intimidate AND auto debuff (see unchained rogue 4) AND free X from 1 rogue talent AND maybe sicken from thug (althogh rake fit more) .
thoughts?
so, i have an idea for a cool "battle herald" , but with almost full spell list.
level 1 : cavalier, halfling or gnome (or Wayang..)
Gendarme Archetype
feats: power attack + mounted combat.
also allow heavy armor + all martial weapons.
take a wolf.
lvl2 + Cleric, Evangelist.
the trait to cast at -1 lvl.
so you got almost full bard boosting (Evangelist) - so your party loves you.
you got great weapon and armor .
your saves are OUT there.
round 1 always bard boost + cast a spell to buff up, while mount gets you to a charging zone .
round 2 > charge .
your total damage will be decent. your party will love you. you can ofc heal and do other stuff.
any advice ?

i am inquisitor 8 1/2 elf (half drow) .
Calistira as a goddess
traits are : falchion proficiency & armor expert.
abilites are:
str 18, dex 14 , con 14, int 13, wis 14, cha 10
feats:
1. skill focus stealth + dodge
3. power attack
5. mobility
7. spring attack
now, here are the Q's :
for levels 9-12 i am facing several options .
i LOVE spring attack, but need to boost my 1 attack a bit...
1. level 9 , take reflexes and 1 shadowdancer level.
this will allow me to atack and vanish, but also hide in plain sight in RP times.
yet, with invisibility and high stealth - i can "simulate" it a bit in RP times.
or even 3 levels for a pet.
2. stay inquisitor, accept the 1 attack will be lowish, and try to take enforcer and a cruel weapon for some "rider' effects.
or even trip (greater) tree - so i can attack more than once at times.
3. take 4 levels into unchained rogue (thug).
4 levels out of the main class is REALLY painful. and destrying the spell casting and bane.
but also, it will make m 1 attack really good.
(adding +3d6 \ shaken \ sicken \ talent effect like bleed \ unnmaed -2 )
so much less caster etc, but my 1 attack will rock sky high.
we are playing around a table, with laptops as character pages.
we would like to stop using the board as a battle grid - and move to a decent app \ site for battle grid.
any one know any?
free > better.........
i found the best domain to focus is Fire.
the idea is to be a wisdom & CON cleric.
feats will be :
Power attack
channel smite (negative channel)
guided hand
heavy armor
all other feats are scribe and meta magic.
a Dwarf or human fit the best here.
what we have, is a decent blaster, good DC of spells, great to hit that with some self buff can also do ok damage, and tankish AC \ saves.
is fire the best one? any other options?

here are the facts:
1/2 elf.
23 points buy.
melee Inquisitor with must have face skills.
Urban Infiltrator archetype (i LOVE the alter self at will ..)
Domain. : either Reformation Inquisition or Exploration .
start at level 4, soon getting to 5.
here are the open topics :
Abilites:
option 1:
str 15(+2)=17 +1 at lvl4 =18, Dex:14, CON:14, INT:10, WIS: 14, CHA:10
VS option 2:
lower STR by 1 (total of 17 at lvl 4), but up the INT to 12 (skills....)
Feats :
lvl 1 : skill focus VS martial weapon ? + OPEN
lvl 3: power attack + precise strike
5: OPEN
Q: what feats \ road to take as a melee?
Q: precise strike VS something better ?
i need to also choose spells (level 1 and 2) , invisibility and divine favor are for sure. what else?
TRAITS :
armor expert for sure.
fate's favorite VS blades of mercy VS heirloom weapon VS Birthmark ?
Feat tree options :
path 1:
1: skill focus stealth + enforcer
3: power attack + precise strike
5: dodge
7: mobility
9: spring attack
path 2:
1: toughness + weapon prof. Falchion
3: power attack + precise
5: heavy armor
7: enforcer
9: scribe scrolls
path 3:
1: dirty fighting + weapon prof. Falchion
3: power attack + precise
5: imp trip
7: enforcer
9: greater trip + tandem trip
11: Gang up ?
other options?
i play urban Ranger (trap finding) and will take 1 level in shadowdancer (at lvl 7 or 9).
here is what i know:
i am level 4 now , Ranger urban (cant retrain or change the class).
abilites: (str:18, dex:14, con:13, int:13, wis:13, cha:12)
half elf.
feats: skill focus stealth, power attack.
Ranger lvl 2 feat: improve dirty trick.
animal companion = small cat. (will take some flyer at lvl 9).
will take the feats needed for shadowdancer, for 1 level only (fit the character).
now...... here are the 2 options ahead (let's say up to level 11) :
staying ranger (10, 1 SD).
VS
inquisitor 6\ranger 4 \ SD1 ).
losing another +2 BAB hurt. but the inquisitor add many many cool tools, especially solo tactics (or sharing them with the mount) that might balance the lose of BAB.
what do you think?
Guided hand feat open the "best" path for a battle cleric in my eyes.
one that can hit hard but also cast supreme.
i plan on channeling negative energy, os the channel smite will actually add some power.
what's the "best" melee & caster options ?
1. Small size with Feather mount worshiping Geon or Eligos and using a lance for a charger build? (will take for ever as it need to many feats...)
2. Evangelist of Gorum for a 2 handed sword heroism cleric? light armor buffer (low AC though).
3. Fire master (Theologian) with a decent weapon and power attack for fireball melee cleric ?
anything else?
so..... i REALLY like the Ghost rider idea.
but have several dilemmas .
Ghost Rider add 2 special effects :
1. a "cant be killed" (at least not for good) mount
2. a "go away and return when needed" pocket mount.
the main issue is medium VS large mounts (small VS medium character)
Large : (human \ 1/2 orc) will have several advantage :
1. "can" charge, but very good with out charging.
2. intimidate addons effects
3. STR 18, power attack and smite = very good melee without the mount. add the large mount and you are a killer.
Small :
1. much lower STR, and damage, but able to charge (with wheeling charge) 50% of the time for decent boost
2. small + medium mount = tank as option #2, mount takes bodygaurd and add great buff to the area around it.
3. allow the usage of the mount a lot more hours per day.
i want to be able to charge, but i don't wont to be gimp when i cant.
i want to do great melee, but also "other" stuff.
thoughts?

hello all.
I know it ain't the BEST most damage build, but it is surly a super fun one until now.
i do have some Q's on where to progress further.
Urban ranger (trapfinding) ranger 6 \ shadow dancer 1 so far.
special house role : every 4 levels can retrain ANY 1 choice made.
1/2 elf
str:18, dex:14, con:13 (+1 next lvl), int:12, wis:13 (+1 at 12), cha :12
fighting style : Underhanded.
feats:
1: skill focus stealth + power attack
2: improve dirty trick
3: combat reflexes
5: boon companion (small cat)
6 : dodge (free)
7: shadow dancer + mobility
9: planned on spring attack .
Favorite enemies:
1=humans, 5= evil outsiders.
here are the open Q's:
1. 1 VS 3 VS more of shadow dancer?
1 = the main and needed hide in plain sight. (mainly RP reasons as i play like a rogue...)
3 = shadow
but, more levels hurt the cat, spells, and the rest of the ranger.
2. is whirlwind attack worth the path ?
i got all the feats except expertise.
3. what else? dazing attack for sure, but what else to add to my spring attacks?
archer paladin.
str 14, dex 17, con 13, int 13, wis 8, cha 15
i wonder between Oath of Vengeance for nearly endless smites per day VS
Oath of the People's Council ..
for example : level 10 breakdown :
Vengeance offer smite 8-9 times per day, +10 Damage,+3 to hit, +3 AC, no DR. +20 Vs undead or demons...
so VS evil - it's a HUGE boon.
Bard song = +2 to ALL the party to hit and damage & extra 1d6 sonic damage to all the party.
can also boost skills, do some fear and add some effects with feats.
is it worth it ? or the lose of smite will be felt so much?
abilites:
str:14, dex : 17, con:13, int;13, wis:8, cha 15
now level 2 paladin (oathbond).
so far feats are the 2 main archery feats .
as i see it, the 4 levels of Dragon Disciple will add 3 caster levels, 2 AC, 4 STR, and power attack for free = seem well worth the paladin level hit .
the +4 STR + power attack will make me instant melee\archer build.
now, how should i mix it ?
paladin 4 > bard dervish (X2 bard boost) 2 > DD 4 ?
= giving 4 smites a day but less spells.
paladin 2 > dervish bard 5 > DD 4 ?
= bard now boost for +4.... only 2 smites a day.
or......
just leave the idea, take max, 1 level of swashnuckler for dex to hit and parry , and go all in archery?

i am at a crossroad. either i will add more layers to my paladin, or i will switch character.
here is what is known :
woman, human, paladin 2 :
str 14, dex:17, con:13, int 13, wis 8, cha 15.
feats i can change, but they are precise shot and poimt blank shot.
here are the problams:
1. skills. very few of them leading to a little narrow character - but that can maybe overcome.
2. archery . it's deadly alright, but it also seem....narrow and boring. no maneuvers, nothing but total damage output and eats ALL the feats i gain until level 11 or so.
options:
1. go dex melee - but as a paladin it's really hard to do. maybe dip 1-2 levels of other classes to accomplish.
2. from level 3-9 go Minstral arrow bard > arcane archer . very few spells , especially as the archetype gets fewer spells, but the archery will be versatile.
3. take 2 Sohei + 1 swashbuckler levels. rest paladin. and go mounted , dex build, skirmisher.
4. take 8 of horse master cavalier - by level 10 spring attack for super damage.
5. insert the called shot mechanism into archery - and shoot not only for damage.
ideas?

abilities:
str:14, dex:17, con:13, int:13, wis:8, cha:15
level 1 = paladin (set).
rest is open.
option 1: the melee path :
Dervish Dance feat, 1 level of Monk and flurry a scimitar. (sohei, with light armor) and 1 level of swashbuckler for free parry.
OR
take only 2-4 paladin levels, the rest Dervish dance Bard .
Bard-paladin will have amazing saves, great self buff, smite for cha to hit as bonus, skills and more.
OR
not to dip at all , for a full progression.
option 2: the archery path :
full paladin , Oath of vengeance for super smite machine gun.
might be a bit boring, and if i cant shoot i am done.
also, suffer heavy cover issues (Erastil trait isnt allowed) until level 11.
OR:
dip 3 into zen archer monk, rest paladin. 2 archery feats, imp unarmed strike, evasion, wp focus, shoot without AOO, super saves for the cost of slower mount (get a full one with a feat at level 8), almost no spells, less smites and abilites.
OR:
paladin 2-4 only (4 for oath use of lay on hands as smites).
rest arrowsong bard and 4 arcane archer.
the spell progression is fine compare to a paladin, with the bard aid. the damage is high. decent party buff (+1-+2), super saves, great skills. no cover issues.
in the long run - what is more "fun" in your eyes?
here are the fix and known stuff:
STR: 14
DEX: 17
CON : 12
wis :8
INT: 13
CHA : 15
human
mount at level 5 (i prefer that on the magical weapon).
feats are open.
so....
Archery ? 2 weapon ? weapon and shield ?
archery seem great, but might take a LONG path to work and suffer from cover greatly until level 11 (the Erastil trait isnt allowed).
i was looking into Dervish dancer + 1 monk (sohei) level to flurry of scimitar but :
1. again VERY feat costly
2. until high levels REALLY bad stats.
3. need 1-2 dips (swashbuckler maybe , monk for sure)
4. cant be oath of vengeance (need the channel) so less smites.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo-palad in-archetypes/virtuous-bravo-paladin-archetype/
is it worth it?
losing mercy, spells and sharing smite with the team (as well as losing oath of vengeance .....)
for a swashbuckler dex based paladin.
i was thining it can work with :
1. switch hitter : dervish dance + bow feats for a cool switch hitter.
2. 1 sword \ thrower . take 1 monk Sohei level and flurrty a scimitar or shurikans with bonus of level -1 & dex to damage with sword.
3. focus on trip + slashing grace a bastered sword.
the spell lose hurt the most, as it also mean no caster level so much harder to read scrolls.
and some things, like menacing thing, on a paladin that lack intimidate ? weird.
in the rule section, i see a banner need a hand free.
why people say it can be used on a shield \ lance \ long spear?
Flag or Banner
Source PCS:ISWG-Revised
A flag is a colorful banner that bears the heraldry or symbol of a nation or organization. A character with the Flagbearer feat who bears a flag can grant additional combat bonuses to nearby allies. Carrying a flag in combat requires a free hand.
my abilities are : (lvl 1, after racial)
17,15,14,13,10,10
i know int = 13 for the unsanctioned knowledge feat.
so:
str 17
dex 10
con 14
int 13
wis 10
cha 15
or switch the str and the cha (15 and 17...)
lower str is 1 less hit ( a big loss) and 1-2 damage .
but, it also mean +1 to all saves, lay on hands, smite, diplomacy and much much more.
ofc, level 4 and 8 bonuses go to those 2 abilites.
feats: i took Fey Foundling and power attack.
my plans ahead are a bit u known.
i have 2 archtypes: oath of vengeance and holy guide.
tips? advice?
Inspiring Commander .
so, DM allowed this archetype.
the party will hold a rogue , a main barbarian \ fighter
a caster druid and a unknown player.
i dont want to take the character all the way into the buffer zone - and wonder how to mix a build that will be deadly enough, versatile in combat and out of it, but still ofc, boost all around me.
no bonus feats hurt the options a lot and need focus.
we play a 23 point ability game (dont ask why 23... it's the DM's call.
Hurtful feat is banned, but a lot of options are there.
NO OPTION for item buying - only what we find. so no build can be around a item type.
must have feats :
1 : power attack
7: chain challenge
11: discordant voice
rest are open.
advice?
i love spring attacking.
i want to dash in and out combining with hide in plain sight.
now.... spring attacking sucks. especially when no Hurtful is allowed.
so, what classes \ builds \ options are there to make it worth the while, at least most of the time - almost comparable with non haste melee.
Inquisitor have a lot of class abilities.
spells, skills and much more.
how ever, adding 2 cavalier (genderme + daring champion, order of the cockatrice)
will add finesse, dazzling + power attack AND +2 to hit Vs shaken foes.
thug 1 or Rake 1 (rogue) , will add even better fear effects.
rest = Inquisitor .
how is that VS a FULL Inquisitor ?
a weird combo, i know . and do wonder if it's worth it....
dervish.
and Evangalist cleric.
so.....
if i take 1 level of the bard, than 19 of the cleric, will i get X2 bard boosting + dervish dancer feat?
if so, it aint that bad of a build...
this one:
Go to whirling-dervish..
TEXT: Dervish Dance (Ex) wrote:
At 4th level, a whirling dervish can use her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier on melee damage rolls when using her swashbuckler finesse. She counts as having the Dervish Dance feat for purposes of meeting feat prerequisites.
it say "like" dervish feat only as a pre-req. is this mean i can use 2 scimitars? or scimitar as 2 handed?
i LOVE the idea of a no wild-shape druid. although the lose is indeed a big one...
what build do you think will be a great one?
i DONT want to be a caster only - but cast and something else.
Archery? (lose out on the sneak attacks)
weapon and shield ?
2 weapons ?
something else?
Can a magus further add abilities to his bonded weapon with arcane pool (keen etc ) ?
i am trying to figure if this archtype will hit anything....
-2 from rapid shot
-1 + -1X4 BAB from deadly aim
-2 from spell combat
-4 from cover (until level 15) .
it looked like a great archetype , but .... i fear it have too much minuses.
option 1 :
blacked hand and minor lame, dual curse + spirit oracle :
(DM allow both although they alter skills)
Nature revelation & fire spirit , scorching ray from curse.
the Wolf will "tank-dps" and later levels will serve as a mount with air walk.
i cast , heal, support and buff.
pet will have INT of 6 and the best saves EVER (cha to saves).
option 2:
sorcerer , sylvan & cross blooded :
the other bloodline will be shadow (hide in plain sight is amazing) or draconic (bonus) or arcane (good buffs).
buff the party , blast with a strong pet that is well defended.
pet can be a flyer from level 1.
option 3: Cleric : 3 options here :
Ecclesitheurge (no armor, but d8 and good saves. fire as main, feather as sub, trade it's spells for heroism).
Evangelist (bard boost is great, domian = heroism, spend 3 feats for the animal companion.).
Theosophist : again, lower defene but 3 domains : ash, heroism and feather.
PRO : better saves.
as the mindblade never memorize spells, that mean he can never use metamagic with spell combat ?
let's say i cast a frost bite and i an flurry of blows (2 attacks) with my hand.
will my attack do full unarmed strike + frostbite damage each attack?
a weird concept, but ... i kind of like the idea.
whirling-dervish archtype.
at level 7 you get afull attack vs all creatures you can get to with reach .
add hide in plain sight - in between moves - and you got a weird blinker.
you fade out , attack, move and fade out, attack again.
the attack is doing ok medium damage, and adding some effects like 1 swift action fear check (that with thug-rogue dip or skill unlock can cause fear and not shaken), free sneak attacks (skulking slayer 1 level dip).
one need to assist the low fort and will saves (1/2 orc add +2 here, take also the 2 related feats and you are ok).
if i wait to level 11, one can get the Hips with eldritch and not shadow dancer.
seem like a cool tactic of fighting, for a shady swashbuckler.
worth it?
Battle heralds are great buffers, i know..... but .... here is a idea for a solo knight - that , at later levels, be a great buffer but at low levels can mostly buff self - and be a greater melee than most melee (see in the end the PRO side).
Dervish of Dawn make sure it's THIS one. .
level 1: cavalier: if DEX build = Daring champion, otherwise , Gendarme for a feat and heavy armor or standard bearer .
level 2: order of the cockatrice kicks in . +2 to all shaken foes. make sure to insert cournogon smash or enforcer with the feats.
levels 3-6 = Bard.
level 6 + battle herald.
why?
at level 3 = +2 from bard (X2 amount), +2 from order.
level 8 = +4 bard, +2 order. BAB = -1, level 2 spells, good skills, great saves (i went 1/2 orc...) .
it's a much better then most level 8 melee, that can even buff the entire party.
thoughts? DEX (dervish dance feat) VS STR (2 hander a scimitar and a quick draw-shield.)? advice?
as eldritch-archer , until level 9, one shoot mostly range touch attcks and not melle attacks.
so, what great spells are on the magus list for this?
here is what we KNOW :
1. a build that is viable from level 2-3 to 15 .
2. unchained rogue is the leading class.
3. 1-4 levels of shadow dancer (1 is a must, rest is not)
4. no item dependent. we get items but we cant buy them.
5. the classes : slayer, inquisitor, arcanist are banned.
6. i love spring attacks.
7. 25 points buy
so, i want to play a strong melee (i mean, as strong as rogues get) that have ton of skills.
melee : i dont want to role the damage department.
dirty tricks, fear, debuff are a lot better for me than pure damage.
also, adding effects to a single attack (that work on spring attacks > several effects.
so...............
give me your best (worse) ideas.
i am adding some Q's and ideas as well below.
Can half elf take human favorite class bonus ?
