Thank you so much for sharing some inside stories in Paizo. I have been a fan since about 2003, right before I left for the military. When "Whispering Cairn" was released, I called up much of my old friends back home and said "When I get out of the military, we NEED to do this adventure." By the time I got out of the military it was Wizards announced 4th edition. We decided to wait until the 4th edition rules came out to start the campaign and just convert the monsters so that the players didn't have to worry about converting their characters... But were we shocked when 3 of us bought the books and go "Eh? What is this?" So, we decided just to stick by 3.5 rules.
I remember the email from Paizo saying "We are no longer going to be doing Dungeon and Dragon magazines. I was sad, but I was excited that they said they were still going to cover 3.5 until they figured out what they were going to do.
About half way through Age of Worms, Pathfinder rules came out and we ended up converting over to the new rules; happily I might add!
Some of the best gaming sessions our group have had is because of the inspiration from the adventures that came from Paizo. If it wasn't for their ability to listen and serve their customers, I don't know where my gaming group would be.
This blog reinforces their ability to communicate with the community. Thank you for sharing this reflection.

Terror.
And, ugh - bangs. At least all of my hair was brown back then.
I would totally pay something for a Paizo speedo edition.
I'm not sure what I would pay, but I would definitely pay.
Oh, you'd pay all right. I think we'd all end up paying for that one.

Oh, and on an unrelated and serious note ... it is so really, truly great to see you guys living the dream out there. I know darn well it's work and hard work at that, but it's also awesome work :)
