Nikma hits Szvetneera as she casts her spell, but does not manage to distract her. Hadrimos' eyes go wide, and he runs into one of the side rooms and slams the door behind him.
Nikma's assault continues, but the matriarch gracefully avoids the other blows from the heavy sword.
Lan runs in and tries to grab Szvetneera, though it is too hard to get a grip in this crowd.
Gwen's magic words seem to be getting obscene as she hits the enemy with a small bolt of lighting.
Huang Tong follows up with a magical icicle, which puts the matriarch down.
With Matriarch Szvetneera defeated and her plot revealed by her own admission, the rest of witchguards she enlisted to attack the estate retreat. Anastasia, Calix, and the other representatives enter back into the room, each with some superficial injuries that Calix insists aren’t serious. Queen Anastasia thanks the Pathfinders for their help and asks if they have any suggestions as to which train proposal or proposals she should look at more closely. Since the demonstrations were cut short by the violence, it will take her time to reach a full decision. Finally, more to herself than the party, she asks what should be done with winter goblins. Calix jokingly suggests “winter goblin soup” for dinner, to which there is a clamoring from the goblins to expose their good traits and that they want to help. The dromaar gives a performative sigh and appoints them “consultants” to prevent others from sneaking into the estate.

Lan speaks up "Your majesty i think we were leaning towards the one with wings i think something coming from your lands should be magical in honor of its history and will make a nice statement not only now but but in generations when they speak of your legacy." Then turns to Calix and asks "What kind of soup do winter goblins make? The goblins in absalom make some very spicy food you have to eat it slow but it's quiet good." turns back to thr queen bows and says, "Thanks for working with payhfinders hopefully we can work with uou more."

Gwen hurriedly reties her scarf and curtsies when the Queen re-enters the room. She quickly brushes off some dirt from the fight and then quickly cleans the blood off of HT with a prestidigitation spell, motioning for him to bow as well. "Your majesty, I hope we've proven ourselves useful."
"The one with wings does seem very practical for moving over harsh terrain such as in Irrisen. No need for laboriously clearing the ground ahead of time. And thus quick flexible too, even though it may not be able to carry such heavy loads at least at first. Perhaps the design can be improved with time." She switches to a perky, cheerful tone. "Plus, it's very pretty!"
Turning to the model with chicken legs, Gwen merely shrugs. "I don't see a real reason to disqualify it. It might bear some harsh reminders, but it has some merit. It's often as we face the past that we can learn from it." She smiles, but there's a sharpness to her comment and those teeth seem very sharp again.
