Spirit takes a five-foot step (flying) towards the dragon, and begins a Patrol with two zones (Assist and Singularity) as a full action. (This means it can move within 30' to defend its allies, and any enemies within 30' of it at the start of their turns have to make a Fort save DC 25 or get pulled 10' closer to it. Also, moving away from Spirit within 30' is considered difficult terrain that costs 15' of movement. It can use attacks of opportunity to protect Arykiel.)

As a swift action, it aids Arykiel's defense against the dragon.
Aid, DC 10 (telekinetic throw): 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (10) + 35 = 45 On success, add 1 to Arykiel's AC vs the dragon.

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

The dragon rages as it suddenly finds itself trapped within an invisible cage.

Does the cage force it the ground, or can it still fly?

The forcecage spell can either create a cell with bars (20-ft cube) or a windowless cell (10-ft cube). The dragon was described as "massive", which isn't a game term. If the dragon has a space greater than 20 foot, the spell misses automatically. I really doubt the dragon is only large, so lets assume the cage.

The gaps between the cages are half-inch. If your weapon and pass through it, then the target gets cover from you, otherwise you can't attack with weapons. Spells and breath weapons aren't affected at all.

Yes, I described it as massive, but under the above engineering spoiler, I noted the dragon is gargantuan, which is a game term. A gargantuan creature's space is 20ft. Thus, the dragon is trapped, if barely.

It's unclear, but it *is* a magic force effect--I was imagining it would just hover in midair where it was summoned. The spell description doesn't say. And yes, it is the barred version, so attacks can get in and out.
