Syllyn gladly lets the not-so-bright knight take the lead, trailing by a little more than 30'. From experience he knows that the range of a trap is likely to end there. For now, though, he will lurk near the end of the stairs.

It's just traps in here, as well as the remains of those who fell victim to them, and those have already been looted. There are three exits to the north (1,2 & 3), one to the west (4), and three more to the south. (5,6 & 7).

The Shining Knight turns a full circle in the middle of the room, peering at each of the exits. Tapping his perfectly white teeth with one fingernail, he makes audible sounds of deep contemplation. "Ah, yes. This one I should think," he announces, heading off in the direction of a passage.

Tinkering with a particularly odd trap, ting realizes the shiny knight is headed towards the western door. Forgetting the trap he hustles after the fellow, "Wait's fer me, wroight!"

Catching up with his fellow pathfinder, he slows, keeping a keen eye out as he goes.

With everyone's permission ting will set a pace where he can take 10 {23/26) on perception, just in case there's anything suspicious.

No problem casting any spell for you. You may assume it is done. Unfortunately mage armor is not on the Skald list. But I guess he could use UMD and he is your best shot for success!

Assuming guidance is cast by Therin on Syllyn to use the wand, he casts Mage Armor on the needy monk...

    Having warned his fellow pathfinders about the stairs, ting presses on around the bend towards the north...

    Before I gave Syllyn that wand, I looked at every character profile in this party. Syllyn isn't just the best shot, he is the only shot for success as he is the only one who can use the UMD skill at all, and nobody in the party has the spell on their list...

    Actually, it works at the first try, because this "needy monk monk/cleric (ecclesitheurge)" (FTFY :-P) will use his blessing of the faithful on Syllyn for an additional +2 profane bonus. ;-) (Sorry, forgot to post that action.)

    Again, if anyone needs to make a skill check when we are not in initiative, they can benefit from guidance and my blessing for a total bonus of +3.

    Baldrum thanks the Nagaji for his help with the wand. He starts casting guidance on himself and refreshes it whenever the spell ends.

    The monk then follows the scouting Ting Tang. However, at the first corner he turns to the left and steps into the short corridor(towards room #4, see map), looking for anything interesting.

    Baldrun sees what used to be some sort of workroom used for repairing and maintaining weapons. Broken tools and bits of weapons lie strewn about. A corridor leads off to the east.

    Meanwhile Ting keeps going up the corridor and sees a branch corridor to the east and the corridor itself also bending to the east.

    Baldrum casts guidance on himself, then uses detect magic to scan the room for any magic that is not on his own.
    Afterwards (if there is nothing to be found), he casts guidance again, gets his adamantine sansetsukon ready to fight, then moves to the south-western corner of the workroom and looks to the corridor in the east.

    Perception, guidance: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 1 = 21

    Baldrum has darkvision 60', in case it's relevant.

    Realizing Alexis seemed to be using magic to investigate the Shelves of weapons and armor racks, ting bobs his beak up and down in approval, "'At's a bloody fine idear's, We's should keep's any floggin' magically stuff, be worth's some'tin' wroight."

    As he speaks, he returns to the hallway, nodding to the shiny knight, he turns and proceeds up the hall to what he suspects is another room.

    taking 10 (23/26) on perception, I saw earlier where someone commented about 'stealth' do we want to be stealthy as well? IF so speak up, ting can do that as well.

    Unfortunately there's no magical stuff here. Baldrun sees the passage to the east open out to another room.

    Meanwhile Ting discovers he's walked into another room. It looks like the remains of a barracks. Rusted metal beds, stacked three high, line the walls of this room. The mattresses are little more than dust held together by mold.

    Kane moves around, knowing his allies didn't fall into any traps. We should let Baldrum see what is over there first so we don't end up splitting the party too much.
    Kane does slowly move around so he can meet Baldrum on the other side.

    Hearing Kane say something from down the hall, ting's eyes open wide as 'shiny' yells out something about maidens, liches and varlets. Shaking his head, ting resists the urge to 'shoosh' his fellow pathfinder and moves to the northeastern portion of the room where there appears to be a hallway. Keeping a keen eye out as he explores the hall.

    Baldrin and Kane find themselves on opposite ends of another workshop that looks similar to the first one. Nothing out of the ordinary is detected. Kane also notes another passage leading into the darkness behind him.

    Ting and the others find another room that had been also set up as a barracks.

    Meanwhile the Shining Knight gets a feeling that something may be watching. Something he can't see. Although that could be just paranoia.

    Afterwards (if there is nothing to be found), he casts guidance again, then moves to the south-east corner of the workshop and looks at the passage leading to the east.

    Meanwhile Ting finds a side corridor, terminating in a door that has magical sigils and such on it. Someone had also written in what had been vivid red paint 'KEEP OUT!" and underneath "That means you too, Kilroy"

    Ignoring the workshop ting heads towards the side corridor with it's 'decorated' door. Lulling his tongue in a tengu smile he calls back, "I's tink' we's bloody well found somet'in' wroight." He then begins to carefully search the door for any traps, and will test to see if it's unlocked.

    Taking 20(33/36) on perception for the door, if he finds any locks or traps he will take 10(32/35) on disable device.

    Kane will walk into the passage and search it for hidden things. perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 If nothing is in here, we will have to catch up to the rest of the party in room 10, we are way too far apart in the event combat or trap happens.

    Edit I drew red arrows to show how Kane catches up to the rest of the party in room 10, to show his direction of travel in case he runs into something. Which is where he travels after searching the room he is in.
