Prilla does not fall into the trap and obtains the liquid. Spellcraft to identify items, or you can cast identify.

"And stay down!" Dimak ends his rage to conserve energy. He hands the cleric a wand of CLW. "Nemesis, would you be so kind and heal me up?"
Assuming the cleric does so:
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

DoubleGold |

The treasure is, Martyr’s tears (contains 18 hit points)
Alright, reposition your tokes and explore.

![]() |

As Prilla finds a treasure, Thornrose turns to explore room to the right of entrance.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

DoubleGold |

Knight Thornrose enters A2
A single sarcophagus dominates the east end of this room. The walls are adorned with engravings of soldiers in plate armor holding their helms reverently to their sides, eyes downcast. He finds no treasure or enemies or traps in here.

![]() |

After being fully healed Dimak moves a bit to the left and inspects the objects he sees in front of him. (see map)
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Info: Dimak's enlarge person only lasts 10 rounds - 5 rounds of that are already gone at this moment.

![]() |

Vrothum carefully proceeds to the far NW room and peeks his head in to check it out. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

![]() |

Igor and Tiny Pebble advance to back up Prilla. The elemental can sense the hidden creature behind the wall and Igor communicates this fact to the rest of the party.

DoubleGold |

Info: Dimak's enlarge person only lasts 10 rounds - 5 rounds of that are already gone at this moment.
Unless you are in a hurry to get into another combat before that spell wears off, I'm going to say that time passed as it takes time to explore each room, like a couple of minutes each. If you really want to keep it going, you can reposition yourself so that other creature on the map finds you and combat starts. We can say you're on round 6 if you want to start that combat, otherwise any spell that has a duration less than 5 minutes, I'm going to say wore off by now.

DoubleGold |

Dimak looks down that hallway, no creatures, or treasures or revealed.
The familiar can't sense any additional creature from its position to see if any creatures are there off to the sides.
Vrothum sees a hallway. Map updated, now what?

I'm not in a hurry to get into another combat, so it's fine that the spell wears off. And before we deliberately start the next combat, Igor can use Dimak's wand of enlarge person on him again, and Prilla can use his wand of bless on the party.
Dimak moves down the hallway and checks out the stairs to his left. (see map)

![]() |

"And stay down!" Dimak ends his rage to conserve energy. He hands the cleric a wand of CLW. "Nemesis, would you be so kind and heal me up?"
Nemesis gives Dimak a curt nod and sets to work, wielding his healing wand as one would a soldering iron - and to Dimak's momentary horror, that is just how its touch feels, the pain of his injuries flaring before going numb as though they are being cauterized; it leaves no marks, though.
She follows the others and keeps ready for trouble.

![]() |

Dimak is a barbarian, he knows pain. ;-) But no scars? That's (almost) unacceptable! ^_^
Dimak takes the stairs to the south and checks out the 2 hallways (the eastern by peering around the corner).

DoubleGold |

Dimak peeks at room 3, C3. Workshops
These workshops for repairing and maintaining weapons
and armor served the Shining Crusade well, but are now in
disarray. Broken tools lie strewn about. No creatures spotted
More map revealed. What about the others, the familiar can sense creatures through was. Can chance you want to move him to poke around sense you can reveal creatures on the other side of the wall you can't see?

![]() |

Still wielding his nodachi, Dimak moves further into the workshop and looks around the corner. (see map)

DoubleGold |

Dimak explores more, running into no traps, finding no monsters and no treasure stick out at him.

![]() |

Dimak moves north and west, peering north around the corner. (see map)

DoubleGold |

Dimak moves north and west, peering north around the corner. (see map)
It leads into a room. With a room off to the side along that hallway. You going into room 4?

![]() |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

![]() |

You going into room 4?
No, not yet.
"Ok, ok, you're right, Prilla. That's far enough without the others. Let's go back to them and talk tactics."
Dimak turns around and moves back to the first room. He sheathes his nodachi and draws his magic longhammer.
As Igor has informed us about the creature, I think before any further exploring we should take care of this threat. And we can buff ourselves before the encounter. Afterwards, it would be great if Tiny Pebble could scan the already explored sections for more creatures.

![]() |

Vrothum turns to Thornrose winks, and offers his back to the leshy. Lets catch up to the others then.Ill share my information with the party and bring up the rear.

![]() |

Nemesis also begins singing, softly at first, but growing bolder...
"To everythiiiing, BURN! BURN! BURN!"
"There is a seasoooon, BURN! BURN! BURN!"
"A time to SCORCH!"
"A time to FRY!"
"A time to FLAMBEE!"
"A time to CREMATE! IMMOLATE! INCINERATE...!!!"
Perform (Singe): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Typo? What typo??
It turns out she has quite a singing-voice!
As she sings, you feel strange insights one by one...If I can, I'll give everyone guidance, starting with myself.

![]() |

Prilla is actually impressed and claps. Well done Ms Nemesis
She then sings a song of Bless
Although she does wonder what would happen if Nemesis was running a BBQ grill.
Just for bookkeeping: That was a charge from my wand of bless, right?
"Thank you both." Dimak bows, then gestures to the wizard. "Igor, if you could use my wand to make me bigger, that would be great, thank you."
Are we ready to fight the creature? Dimak certainly is, once he's enlarged. ;-)

![]() |

Igor nods at Dimak's request and activates his wand. The dwarf now towers over the rest of the party.

DoubleGold |

The party regroups? Who is leading the way? And is Vrothum going to start heading down that hallway?
Tiny Pebbles familiar does not sense any additional creatures within his 60 foot range through walls or anything.

Tiny Pebble |

Tiny Pebble moves in front of his master. His senses reach beneath the ground itself searching for enemies.
@DoubleGold - Yes, he can sense creatures around corners. As long as they are touching the same surface as he is on. In this case that is the floor. :)

Got ninjaed while editing, Tiny Pebbles does not sense any creatures.

DoubleGold |

Nevermind Tiny Pebbles, there is one creature within your 60 foot range, I actually measured. Thought it was further out. Added it to the map, if you could pass through walls it is 50 feet away, but obviously it would take more than 50 feet to reach it.

![]() |

I agree with Prilla, if Pebbles? That's his name right Igor? If pebbles senses danger we should neutralize it before we explore any further. Lead the way big boy! Says Vrothum as he staggers in behind Dimak.

DoubleGold |

Looks like the map got moved ever so slightly. I repositioned the creatures to be in those squares. You all regather yourselves knowing the creature is there, None of you can see the creature yet nor can it see you yet. Nobody moved between the 2 red lines yes.

![]() |

The large dwarf lets his anger rise (free action to start rage), 5-foot-steps up and swings his hammer at the creature.
enlarged Rage +1 adamantine longhammer + RA + PA: 1d20 + 13 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 2 - 2 = 16 :-(
Magic Bludgeoning + PA, adamantine: 2d8 + 11 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 11 + 6 = 23
Using a rage power to increase the attack roll: Auspicious Mark: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Yes!
Total attack roll result: 22 I hope that's enough...
Iterative enlarged Rage +1 adamantine longhammer + RA + PA: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 10 :-(
Magic Bludgeoning + PA, adamantine: 2d8 + 11 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 11 + 6 = 26
AC 11, touch 7, flat footed 9 (+4 armor, +2 Dex, -2 Rage, -2 RA, -1 size)
AC vs crit 13, touch 9, flat-footed 11 (+4 armor, +2 Dex, -2 Rage, -2 RA, -1 size, +2 circumstance helmet)
The barbarian has been marked by the spirits, as indicated by an impressive tattoo, scar, or birthmark she possesses. Once per rage, as a swift action that costs 2 rounds of rage, the barbarian can call upon the spirits' favor. Using auspicious mark grants her a +1d6 bonus on one d20 roll she has just made. She can call on the auspicious mark after seeing the result of the d20 roll.

DoubleGold |

Um Dimak, do you have a reach of 15 feet or more? Large size would give you 10 feet. That is 3 diagonal squares.

![]() |

Yes. Dimak's longhammer is a reach weapon; enlarged he has a reach of 20 feet and can attack anything in 15-20 feet with it. And in the range of 0-10 feet he can attack with his helmet. ^_^

DoubleGold |

So Dimak does hit, even with the cover around the wall it hits, because the creature is also flat footed. All of that damage goes through, 23 damage to the creature. The creature is now aware you are there.
Nice surprise round
Everyone roll init The creatures which will now come after you all, you know are made of wood. Map updated.

initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

DoubleGold |

init of wood creatures: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Remember people, room 1 is still hazardous, if you move more than half your speed, you will need to make an acrobatics check not to fall prone and possibly take damage.
