The game will start sometime after the PaizoCon Online 2024 / memorial day weekend (in US) are over. Please add your token to the Google Slide as usual and fill in the RPG Chronicle.
Arachnophobia warning!

RPG Chronicle filled, Google Slide information filled and token added.

Dotting in. The character is currently a GM blob, but I should get it fully built out and ready to go within the next day.

![]() |

I was one of the first to put a dote (although I deleted it out of habit), but I just now filled in the slides, because I just finally decided how I want to further develop (aka level up) the character. Ready 2 go!

GM_Colin |

Since this is not a PaizoCon game, we don't exactly have a time constraint. No worries.

![]() |

Fraxon Stonebreaker, played by Escharid Blackrose.
He dotted here in Discussion, but not in Gameplay.

GM_Colin |

I see Rouqar, Fraxon, Yngvarr, Tat, and a dwarf(that I suspect is Khon'Ur).
Which means our gunslinger Tusk hasn't put his token in the slide yet.

![]() |

FYI I'm going on a trip to Alaska and Canada in early July for 2 weeks and won't be able to post everyday cause I won't have wifi all the time. Please bot me as needed!
I'm using a GM star replay on this level.

![]() |

If someone decides to clear the trap, Khon'Ur will leave the room and go into the corridor .)
A wise decision, if we look at the poor attempt of our rogue... :-O
Just teasing! ;-)

> That was the surprise round. and please resolve healing for the 3 damage from previous combat or I would have to start the combat with it.
Oh, I'm sorry, I just silently wrote down in my inventory that I spent one charge from a wand. That's how I understood your previous message:
> Assuming you guys deal with the healing and continue...
So!
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 LOl!
That's why it's worth rolling if it's not 50-60 hp.
Okay, two charges and I'm in full hp.
I am also ready to heal everyone else who has their own wands. Please roll d8 dice yourself. You can draw Khon'Ur's grunt in your imagination in addition .)

[dice=CLW]1d8+1 LOl!

I just want to know who is doing the healing and with what. Taking average out of combat is fine, and that will only cost you 1 charge.

Got a game tonight from 8:30PM to 12:30AM and another one from 1AM to god knows when (due to timezone difference), so I will move us forward to the next room in Sunday (US central time). Get yourself ready :)

![]() |

Hello everyone! You can see this message in several games. This week is extremely stressful for me, and I will participate in the games very sporadically. Feel free to bot me when you need to.

[dice=strength]1d20+2 in case it tries to open it against me.These things scare me, considering the red one moved 9 squares, which would be a doublemove for most creatures and still got an attack. Unless these things aren't fast, it moved in the surprise round and moved in round 1. But Yngvarr's Religion check might tell us that.Tusk were by the north door when combat started, and the north door was not opened as Tusk only went through the west secret door(in relation to chest room). How did Tusk managed to 5ft step and move? There was no surprise round, they simply beat you in initiative.
Tusk 5 foot stepped in his first move to get out of melee without provoking, and then moved as his 2nd moved. He took 2 move actions instead of a move and attack actions? Did I do something illegal? It's been a while since I've played Pathfinder 1e, so if I did something that can't/shouldn't be done, let me know.
As far as what I posted/asked before, I just legit thought they had a speed of 50. I wasn't sure if pulling out my bow was a surprise round or not, or if it was just what triggered combat.I feel like this is just confusion about what actually happened.

You can’t take more than one 5-foot step in a round, and you can’t take a 5-foot step in the same round that you move any distance. In other words, if you 5 foot step, you can no longer move with move action for that turn.
However, you can use your move action to open the door, use for 5 foot step to go to the hallway to the north, then use standard action to do a move-equivilent action to shut the door. That way you can get out of that room now, and you can circle back from the chest room next round if you desired.

Okay, so if I'm understanding that correctly, I can end my turn with the door close and 1 square north of the door?

![]() |

Alright, Fixed my position. I don't care about their speed or the little stuff right now, I just want to continue on from my correct position as to where I'm suppose to be.

![]() |

Another options for moving away from a foe without provoking would be a Withdraw action which would allow you to take a full round action to move up to double your speed and not provoke when you move out of the initial square. Although as its a full round action you would not be able to do stuff like open and close doors in the same turn.

I forgot Withdraw was a doublemove. I'll stick with the DM's suggestion of being one square north of the north door, assuming I understood him correctly.

GM_Colin |

Your understanding is correct and Tusk is in the right place. I'm going to bot the dwarf and the catfolk.

![]() |

Hello everyone, friends! I have sorted out my affairs, the life situation has more or less settled down and on Tuesday I will return to active participation in all the games. I hope you've been doing well here without me .)

GM_Colin |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Hello everyone, I will be attending MAGE CON 2024 tomorrow, so I will be unavailable to post till weekend.
My lv 5 cleric will be scouting out Emerald Spire 7 and 8 for you guys ;)

GM_Colin |

Hello everyone, sorry for the slow post for the past few days, real life stuff keep me very busy, and I'm afraid it will get worse for the rest of this week. I need a few more days to sort out the IRL business, and then we can continue.
I should be able to start this last encounter for you guys in the weekend.

GM_Colin |

You guys should discuss Tusk' purposal before I bot Tat. Waiting out the spell is certainly a valid tactics.

GM_Colin |

Will be gone a short week (Sunday 18 to Sunday 25) for a well-needed vacation.
I think I'll bow down after this level, so you can recruit someone else, GM, if you choose to continue
Have a good trip! And sorry to see you go.

GM_Colin |

Thank you all for playing! This floor is completed and please roll your day job if you have them! I will get the chronicle sheets out in a few days.

![]() |

Thanks for running! I'd been after an opportunity to play that floor for a while as it was one of the two I'd not had a chance to play yet.
Yngvarr will spend his downtime working towards the Sovereign Court Rising Star boon...
Knowledge (nobility), DC15: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
I'll use my folio reroll and take 10...
Knowledge (nobility) + GM stars, DC15: 10 + 4 + 13 = 27
...which succeeds by 10 and lets me tick 2 boxes on the boon.

![]() |

Thanks, GM_Colin! It was really fun!
+1
Tat has no day job.

GM_Colin |

Only Fraxon left for the day job but he's in vacation so I will update his sheet when he comes back.
Here's your chronicle sheets in a Google Drive folder. Let me know you spot any mistake.
And let's talk about part 3. I can get it started after I finish preping my Gameday XIII's PbP table. Do we all want to continue? Except for Fraxon

![]() |

My chronicle looks fine.
I am definitely interested in part 3 - thanks for offering! :-D
Are you going to run it after Gameday or will you try to get it into the event?

GM_Colin |

I'm afraid it might not fit in the Gameday convention's time frame, so I didn't submit it.
I'm planning to start it during Gameday if that's ok with you guys, since we can afford to be slow.

![]() |

Yngvarr's chronicle sheet all looks good. Thanks again for running.
As I've previously played part 3 I wouldn't be able to join for that. But if the run continue on to part 4 (and there is room) I'd be interested in playing that as its the one remaining floor of the spire I haven't had a chance to play yet.

![]() |

Looks good!
I've done all the levels and used a GM star replay for the last. So I'm going to bow out! But thanks for running this one and it was a fun time playing with you guys!

![]() |

Ok, so we are down to Tusk and Tat (and hopefully Khon'Ur)...
