For the exploration part of the game, I'm assuming that we just describe our actions and you'll roll dice for us as needed? If I'm wrong, please let me know.

For exploration it would depend on the roll. Most of the time you can just roll it. If it's something like a stealth check or a recall knowledge check you can roll it as a spoiler so you don't see the result.

Is swinging on the rope Athletics or Acrobatics?

Swinging the rope is an acrobatics check, partly for the swinging itself and partly to stick the landing.

I think Bottlespeaker has the highest Survival modifier so I'll let them roll to follow the trail.

Let's wait to see if they post tomorrow morning, since morning seems to be their preferred time to post.

For maps I was originally thinking of using roll 20 but I have since heard suggestions for using google drive and google slides to handle them. Any preferences?

I'm fine with both Roll20 and Google slides. I prefer whichever is easiest for you.

It's time for the first map. I have created a google slides document for the maps. I will have it link in the short campaign description and under my alias.

Oh dear. I was about to say I had a horrible feeling this would lead to a TPK, but I guess it technically can't because Fluff Fang is still upstairs.

I guess Popcorn could use her third action, plus the remaining movement from her second action, to run right back to the stairs. Though the more "in-character" thing to do would be to draw her weapon (or, if it's assumed to be drawn already, to Rage).

Sorry, I tend to post whatever I think the PC would do without thinking about the consequences.

Some other options for Popcorn are:

1) Hide behind the shelves with Rings, using the Quiet Allies feat. (If things go bad, I was thinking we might topple the shelves over onto Darius and his minions?)

2) Engage Darius with Intimidation, demanding to know where the leshies are. That would likely be both more IC and may avoid an immediate TPK.

OK, now we should probably just run away, regroup with Fluff Fang, and heal up. If Darius and the homunculi pursue us, they’ll be separated from the crystals and the cauldron.

Does that make sense to everyone else?

Makes sense to me. Rogues are good at running away!

So... Bottlespeaker has not replied for a while, and Fluff Fang only really made two posts. Any suggestions as to what we should do? My two ideas for the time being are that your could each control 2 characters during encounters while roleplaying only one or that I could adjust the encounters for two characters?

I'm fine with controlling two characters while roleplaying one. I'd be happy to manage Fluff Fang's actions.

Sorry to read that, I hope you are feeling better now.

I mean, not for substenance but I assume they can still consume things for other reasons. After all, Glimmer does gift seeds to Popcorn to cook, and Popcorn is a Cook.

Wait, "three leshies"? I thought Reaching Rings was supposed to be controlling Fluff Fang too now. And part of the point of going upstairs in the first place was to get Fluff Fang.

@GM: Could you please add Fluff Fang to the map so that we can control them during combat? Thanks!

Thanks, but where are the enemies? I don't see the homunculi on the map.

The map took a while to render for me, but I can see the homunculi okay. They appear to be tiny creatures sharing the spaces of Rings and Darius (look for a circle in the upper left quadrant of Rings's and Darius's squares).

If you still can't see them, there's one directly south of Popcorn (where Rings is) within reach and another S-W-S (where Darius is).

@GM: Sorry, I'm still new to PF2e but I thought that the Ready action requires 2 slots, not 1?

In other news, as advance warning, I'll be on vacation May 5-16 and unlikely to post during that time.

Oh wow, it does cost two actions and a reaction to use. That's super steep. I guess I have been missruling ready all this time. I have deleted that post.

Thanks. My guess is that the two actions is so that you can ready spells too.

That's probably it, but with my in-person table I had always ruled it as taking as many actions as what you are readying.

I just asked on AoA but, you are controlling two characters here and there is only four of us. So, how would you like to handle those days you'll be on vacation? If everyone is okay with it, we could pause temporarily and continue when Rings comes back. Or Popcorn and Bottlespeaker could each control two characters if the situation calls for it.

@Popcorn: Sorry, I hope you didn't feel compelled to drink the mutagen. I just wanted to offer it as an option that you could either accept or decline.

Also, you should all feel free to npc Fluff Fang as needed (e.g. if you want them to cast a particular spell).

It's a little ambiguous in the adventure.

The guests are enjoying a tea party with two tiny kidnapped leshys serving as centerpieces for the tables, each pair trapped within decorative glass bell jar displays and unable escape on their own.

I am interpreting it to mean a pair on each table, since the introduction of the adventure mentions multiple disappearances.
