Okay, that means that if we were both kids when your family moved to my village, that I would probably be about 28 now.
Humans reach adulthood at 15, and Halflings at 20 so there's like a five year difference right there. So, if you are 24 when we start, we got married when you were 22, the boar incident happened when you were 16, and if we were both kids when you moved to my village, you were probably around 6, and I was 10. I would still be young enough to.find boys gross. Lol
I would say we're 4 years apart, more or less. So, I'm 28, I was 26 when we got married, the boar incident happened when I was 20, which makes sense since I wouldn't be allowed on a hunt until I was an adult.
So, yeah that all fits. I needed a time-line of events to help tell my my part of the story.

Alright, Emma is completely done now. You can read her backstory, physical description, and personality on the profile page or whatever it is.
I just wanted to get her finished up, so you could see what I did with the story and stuff. :o)

I wouldn't say predominantly halfing. There's also some half elves, and maybe a couple other different races. I would say that Rosewood is made up of different kinds of people. Your family isn't the first non halflings she's seen. It's more of an eclectic community, made up by a variety of people of different race. Rosewood is a very open minded and welcoming place. Everyone is welcome, as long as they bring something productive or helpful to the community.
So, while there are halflings, there's also other humans, half elves, maybe a Dwarf or two, Catfolk, a few half orcs who are mainly guards, and deal with discouraging trouble makers from staying in our town, and keep the peace....even though we're usually a quiet village. Not much really happens in Rosewood. It is overall a very pleasant place to live, with a variety of people. We all get along because we all treat each other like equals and with respect. Even the few times there might be a disagreement between neighbors, each person is treated fairly, no matter what race they are.
Does that make sense? We're one of the more rural communities, and quite a bit removed from the troubles that the larger towns and cities have with brigands and other nefarious types. We're close to good hunting land, as well as plentiful fresh water sources, and our farming land has some of the most fertile fields for planting crops. That's why we end up with such a variety of different kind of people.

In fact, it's almost too peaceful for Emma, who's adventurous spirit and mischievous ways usually end up getting her in trouble.
Like the time she put soap in the fountain in the middle of the village square, because she wanted to see how many bubbles it would make. It was worth it too, until the town guard caught her dancing in the bubbles, and took her home to her parents. They were well known in the community for not only the products their farm produced, but also for the services they provided the community. They only had Emma, so they had extra room in the house. If someone needed a place to stay, they were the first ones to offer their home.
They were pretty easy going parents as far as discipline went, but when they thought I'd gone too far with one of my "harmless" pranks, fun time was over. I would usually get grounded, or lectured. Rarely spanked unless it was something extreme. Like wrapping cloth around that thing the makes the sound in the bell. When I did that to the chapel bell, so they couldn't ring it.....whew, that was big time trouble. One of the few times I've actually seen my Pa furious with me. He took a switch to me in the middle of the square, in front of everyone. Then he made me apologize for showing disrespect to the church, and to those who went there, my family included, and promised I'd never do it again. I had cleaning duties in the chapel for a month after that little stunt.
I don't know where these ideas came from, but they would just come to me and I was too mischievous and impulsive for my own good. Lol

I wouldn't say I'm a trouble maker persey, but I do like to keep things lively. Someone has to keep these guards on their toes. Lol
As I got older though I pretty much outgrew the whole prank thing....mostly. ;o)

I didn't want all of the pressure to be on you honey. I was just trying to help. *sad puppy dog eyes* I need for her to have a reason to feel invested in this town, and not just because she's the Vicar. It just sort of came to me that Rosewood would be the kind of place that people could come to, who had maybe been treated not so nicely in other towns. A place where they could feel at home, and have a purpose.

Emma Northwood |

Okay, so in your background, you were six when they decided to move. I was the one that was 10 when your family showed up to the village.
Just reminding you since I bombarded the pages with so much information that I probably confused you. Lol

This is about as many villagers I'm going to come up with descriptions for. You obviously won't talk to everyone in the village and I don't want them to seem all cookie cutter. Your parents obviously live in the village as well, but I'll let you tell me how they are.

Emma Northwood |

I can probably come up with a few if you need me to. We're missing fishermen, an old guy to tell stories about the way things use to be, maybe a blacksmith and/or tanner. Oh oh oh....we have to have to have either a little cafe or bakery with sweet treats. I'll think about it, but I LOVE the ones you've come up with.

Emma Northwood |

Going back to work after being off so long has been kinda hard on us physically and sorta mentally too. After resting so much on vacation, my legs and all my other jacked up parts aren't use to so much use anymore.
My back passenger tire keeps slowly losing air pressure, so it has to be filled every few days. My dog just started acting like an ass all of a sudden.
I just don't understand it cuz he never went near Dixie's metal bowl before, he wouldn't eat unless it was a porcelain or plastic bowl, and now all of a sudden, we have to watch him like a hawk, or he will eat his food and hers.
I love my babies, but they driving me kinda crazy right now.
I'm so freaking tired, but I'm really stressed out too.

Emma Northwood |

I don't know. Jana brought them home to us the day after we got back with Andrew, like the 11th and they got lots of time with us.
He just started this ridiculousness only a day or two ago. We have no idea what triggered this new behavior.

Okay, so here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to look at stuff on Pinterest, and post the ones I like to our board. Look at them, and tell me the one you like the most, and that's the one I'll describe. Any other way would just take too long.

Emma Northwood |

I need help...I am having a really hard time finding something cute that would actully look nice on Emma for the way she's built and stuff.
She's petite and a little taller than a child, so it's hard to find something that's appropriate as well as representative of the change of seasons.
You know I suck at fashion right? LOL

Okay, I'm only like 3 feet tall, so long flowing dresses are not the answer. I'm petite with a giant size personality, and I need a dress to reflect not only my personality, but the changing of Summer to fall.
I think we need to do that with colors? I didn't really find anything on pinterest that came close to what I was thinking of. So, this is the Fall Festival and it's at night of course, so it's bound to be chilly.
In order not to catch cold, I think the dress should either be long sleeve, or short sleeve with a hooded cape for warmth. Also, she could wear a pair of boots with a slight heel to give her a little boost of height.
I was thinking for her body type, that it would be good to have like a princess cut fitted corset like top, with bell sleeves that sort of flare out? Then have the bottom part kind of flare out in multiple layers?
The top should be like blue with green embellishments, with the sleeves being green on the outside and gold on the inside. As the skirt part flares out, it should start with hues of yellows and orange, and graduate to red and gold hues towards the bottom with ruffles.
How does that sound?

Emma Northwood |

Does that sound crazy? I just wanted something that would keep her warm, don't want to be accused of trying to catch a cold. *wink*
I also wanted to show off what few little curves she has, while still being appropriate for a Vicar to wear, as well as representing the changes in the season.
If we go with the type of dress I described, I'll try to do a better job of verbally illustrating it in the game play thread.

Emma Northwood |

I just had to combine a whole bunch of things into one idea. It had to be warm to keep the chill off of her, it had to be appropriate in appearance for her position as Vicar, and it needed to represent the changing of seasons.
It was a lot to fit into one outfit. Lol
I'm glad you got some rest. I'm hoping that I can actually sleep through the night without waking up sweating like crazy while having 5 fans blowing on me, a cooling mattress pad, and cooling pillow. It's just crazy.

Aiden Northwood |

Yeah, I included combat-trained light horse in my starting purchases since I figure snagging a buck or wild boar, and bringing that back isn't really something you sling over your shoulder.

Emma Northwood |

Lol, yeah I guess not. I looked at your stuff though, and I guess I either missed it or forgot about it. Still made for a very funny misunderstanding.
Not sure exactly when I'll be able to get to sleep, though hopefully not too long from now. I had to finish up the last three pieces of bacon we had before it went bad, so I was gonna make breakfast burritos for dinner...but Henry didn't feel like eating that much and just wanted some pizza rolls, so I made him some of those and I ended up having to eat 2 breakfast burritos by myself, and since I was eating both of them I felt I needed a pretty big cup of chocolate milk to go with it, so I got one of the travel cups with the lids and straws and filled it up....that might have been just a liiittle too much cuz now I feel like a seltzer bottle and if someone just shakes me the wrong way I'm gonna explode.
Ugh...why do I do these things to myself? Lol

Emma Northwood |

*shakes head vehemently* Unless it's soup or something, I don't like putting stuff like that in the freezer, and then reheating it later. I don't know, I'm just weird that way.
The dogs were acting all crazy too, so I had to stay up till they calmed down. Gonna try to lay down again.
