As Enrax approaches, Preserver steps back just slightly and his attack falls short.

The stones whirling the Nexus continue spinning, and the broken fragments all around continue driving themselves en masse towards one person then the next as electricity arcs between them: Alice the Girl, Fumbus, Marigold, Enrax, and Raphaeleous. They swerve around the wyrwood as though repelled.

"No. Prefect was to be Perfect. How can Prefect become Perfect if you have destroyed him."
It sounds something like an existential crisis in monotone.

Finding herself in a target-rich environment, Preserver draws a new conclusion. "I will be Prefect. Then I will be Perfect. Extracting aeon stones."

Wait, something's up with Alice's turn. First of all, that's too many actions. Act Together makes the first Strike free, but that's still four. Secondly, what is the Girl attacking? Prefect's not within her reach. She could hit the Nexus from where she is. And the Doll doesn't have line of effect or sight to Prefect--and she would have -10 MAP.

Raphaeleos is unable to put a dent in the Nexus as it repels his strikes.

Marigold's arrow, however, shatters the construct. Her archaic wayfinder clattering to the floor.

The Girl pounds on the Aeon Nexus, and Enrax stabs at it as well. It's difficult to damage, but they are making progress.

Not quickly enough to prevent another lashing attack from the whirling stones.
The Girl, Marigold, Raphaeleous, Fumbus, and Enrax must make a DC 21 basic Reflex save against 5 slashing and 7 electricity damage.

Fumbus has thus far been unable to disassemble the Aeon Nexus, though he still believes it's possible to do with care.
The strategy of simply smashing the thing hasn't worked yet, but at least seems to be making more progress.

Of course, the Nexus's attacks do seem to have limited range. With the guardians gone, the room behind them looks accessible. And there are those wayfinders they have...

While the Alices have collectively catlike Reflexes, the Girl isn't able to land a solid hit.

In the next room, Fumbus finds a collection of clockwork tools, shattered aeon stones, and rotting piles of vellum that fill the shelves in a crowded workspace. Large metal panels removed from the facilities walls lie in the center of the room; etched into these panels are meticulous blueprints for a wayfinder identical to the one Muesello lent the party.

Feel free to keep rolling checks if you want to finish off disabling or breaking it, but with the danger (mostly) past and the objectives complete...

The Pathfinders determine that the wayfinders held by the Wyrwoods were what was deflecting the attacks of the Aeon Nexus. It's not any property of the wayfinders themselves, which are no different from the one given to the team by the Venture Captain, but the resonant power of the nexus stones slotted in to them. With those two--and the stones already retrieved by Marigold which can be slotted in to the third wayfinder or those carried by any of the Pathfinders, they're able to safely disable it and extract the remaining stones.

The broken fragments fall to the ground with no force to propel them.

The party is able to return to Muesello with these items and the information Fumbus found in the workshop. Muesello, thrilled by the discoveries, awards each of them and promises them the first opportunity to obtain the next generation of wayfinders.
