Shokil |
Shokil, determined to finish off the yellow creature quickly reloads.
Smith looked through the smoke. 'Unbelievable' he thinks, as the ... thing... kept coming. He hadn't had this much problems putting down an opponent since the squad had been sent to hold off an undead incursion.
Shokil gently squeezes his trigger.

Ok. Maybe I shouldn't post too late too often :)
Shokil and Gil-Oloth hit their targets. Stella's bolts finally bring down Pink.
4th round. Cavaler and Twich
Cavaler Traleth |
Cavaler, reloads his dual crossbolter and then fires on the remaining khefak.
"Don't let it destroy anymore buildings Starfinders." Improved Get 'Em, everyone gets a +2 bonus to their attack rolls against the final khefak, but not their damage rolls.

Shokil |
Swallowing, Shokil nervously thumbs the recharge button on his sniper rifle. He wonders how Sgt. Smith would see the situation.
Smith chewed down on his cigar. The smoke filling his armors visor almost as rapidly as the suit's systems evacuated it to join the rest of the hostile atmosphere. Kind of took away the point, but he found the familiar sensation of tobacco in his mouth ... well, he wasn't about to even think 'comforting' - he was a space marine, and space marines didn't do comfort. They ate their rations cold, their meat raw and avoided their vegetables in favor of nutrient bars. Given all this, why was the gods forsaken tree still trying to wipe out his squad? It wasn't like any of them had eaten anything even remotely plant based for weeks.

Luce 'Stella' Lumen |
Stella had lost line of sight with yellow, so she moves to a point where she can see it again before shooting a telekinetic projection at it.

At this point, it will almost certainly fall within next round so we can be off initiative.
After the second monster lays dead, you notice that khefak’s rampage destroyed numerous crates, which caused some useful equipment to scatter across the area. The locals claim that no one owns the goods and suggest the you take it for your “entertaining feats of animal wrangling.” Goods include a purple nanite hypopen, black nanite hypopen, a jetpack, a sonic dampener, and a tactical magnetar rifle.
Also few citizens suffered minor wounds and numerous structures were destroyed. A PC can tend to the injured citizens by succeeding at a DC 20 Medicine check, repair some of the nearby structures by succeeding at a DC 20 Engineering check, tidy up the destruction by succeeding at a DC 20 Acrobatics or Athletics check, or identify and mark dangerous areas with a DC 25 Perception check.
Luce 'Stella' Lumen |
Stella goes and tags dangerous areas, still wondering why her antennae seem to be itching like crazy.
perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34
Is there a doctor in the house? she asks nervously. I ... think there's something wrong
Shokil |
"Well..." says Shokil, eyeing up the Magnetar rifle.
"This really is a beauty.. Anyone mind if I give it a spin?"
I assume there is some ammo for the rifle with it?
AFter giving it a once over, he starts to help the locals with their tidyup.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23
Cavaler Traleth |
Cavaler, will take the hypopens and then attempt to help with the cleanup.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Once the work is done he'll head to the Jungle Juicery.
Would the hypopens be able to cure the mutations affecting Stella?
Gil-Oloth |
Gil-Oloth' couch gets down.
Once she realizes the mess the creatures have done, her couch sprouts mechanical arms and with them, she helps fixing some structures.
Engineering: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26 +4 with tools
She also takes a look at Stella's hitching through the smokes of her hooka.
Medicine: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18

Vines hang from the ceiling and trees tower over tables in this large tavern-turned-juice bar. Makeshift holes in the roof give off an open-air feel while still providing shelter from the elements, and comfortable tables and chairs have been placed around the foliage, giving the illusion of being seated in an actual jungle. Loud jungle noises play on repeat from speakers mounted in the corners of the room, and haphazardly strung string lights create a warm setting. A sweet, slightly floral aroma fills the space as staff slice up fruit and pour glasses of juice straight from fresh-cut paradelons.
Shokil |
Shokil, wary about eating and drinking the local produce looks around the bar...
per: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
And notices the bartender. Who would have expected one in a bar? What he doesn't notice is the aroma, as his environmental protections instead are gifting him the unimaginable pleasurable scent of recycled air.
"So... do you get attacks like that often?" he asks.
Gil-Oloth |
Perception DC22: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29
Through the smoke, Gil-Oloth realizes that a woman seems to eavesdropping on other patron's conversation without touching her drink.
She shares the information through her secured comlink, letting the more talkative person engage first the woman.
Luce 'Stella' Lumen |
The 'more talkative person' would be Stella.
Oooo. She's rather pretty .... wonder what she's up to?
So she wanders over, casually. She's also sipping at the juice having come to the conclusion that the damage had already been done.
Hi. My name's Luce .... so .... what's your name?
Luce 'Stella' Lumen |
I'm a scientist, studying the Drift, and trying to figure out why it Crashed. I was hoping the ... erm ... incident here might provide a clue.
She pauses for a bit. Not touching your drink? It's actually quite nice
Cavaler Traleth |
Cavaler, listens in on the conversation between the Stella and Hara and tries to ascertain if Hara is genuine in her responses.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 + (6) + 1 = 19
Shokil |
Shokil, having much experience in propping up bars keeps on with the bartender.
"But... other odd stuff has been happening hasn't it? Anyone got ideas about why?"
Mustaparta |

Everyone who talks with Hara can roll Sense motive
Cavaler doesn't notice anything suspicious about her.“I'm not an expert on Drift, but I do know that the debris that collided with Great Gwaz was extraplanar material. The flora and fauna all originate from the associated plane, which I strongly suspect is the First World due to the fey and the plant-like characteristics we’ve seen in some of the creatures and residents of town. The emergent jungle is spreading in a near-perfect circular shape from the collision’s epicenter, and while the jungle sprouted incredibly quickly, it’s my personal observation that the spread has slowed past the edge of the impact crater. Slowed, but not stopped. The jungle continues to grow with each passing day.” Hara says
The bartender tells Shokil he doesn't have a clue about odd stuff and excuses himself to serve other patrons.
Luce 'Stella' Lumen |
I concur with your observations, although I was thinking that the debris originated on the Outer Plane of Elysium. But First World is also an excellent candidate. Has anyone actually gone to the center to have a look?
sense motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Cavaler Traleth |
"Can you take us to the impact crater?"
Gil-Oloth |
The couch moves closer to Hara so Gil-Oloth could participate in the discussion.
I see that you're a researcher. I'm speaking from the Stars and the Stars speak to me. I've already foreseen this meeting and glade it happened.
I'm sure that you could help us in our research too and that together we will be able to solve the mystery of this place.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
Reroll (coin award): 1d20 + 15 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 15 + 3 = 27
Mustaparta |
"“I’m telling you, it’s way too dangerous to go out there. But, if you insist, I’ll take you as far as my old camp. That’s where Avor asked me to take him and where my team was attacked. But I’ll need a day to prepare. It’s getting late, and I don’t want to be out there after dark. We can leave tomorrow morning.”
Gil-Oloth gets suspicious at the last moment when listening Hara. She appears to be on edge and nervous. Mention of something attacking her team feels interesting.
Cavaler Traleth |
"You led a team out to the impact crater? What exactly were you doing out there?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 9 + (4) + 1 = 15
Mustaparta |
"Avor asked me to lead him to our old field site where we were attacked so that he could look around and assess the threat to the locals. I told him it was too dangerous, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer. That kind of bravado gets you killed in places like the camp. I led him there and hurried right back to Great Gwaz. That was the last I saw of him."
Shokil |
Shokil, sensing a story moves to join the conversation.
After introducing himself he asks. "And what exactly killed Avor... and who was he anyway? Why did he want to go there?"
Cavaler Traleth |
"Remind me again who your team is. Were you also investigating the abnormality caused by the debris?"
"In regard to Avor, if there is any chance he is alive we need to go looking for him."
Cavaler Traleth |
"Yes, I would also like to know why you were attacked."
Gil-Oloth |
Puffing some smoke, Gil-Oloth turns her dark eyes to the woman.
It seems to me that you're forgetting something in your story about what happened there before you've returned here.
Speak. The Stars are looking upon you. Don't fail Them.
Says the elf from her couch.
Mustaparta |
“Yes, we had our own expedition to the jungle. We barely had time to set up camp before we were attacked by a pack of mutated monsters. We weren’t prepared for so many monsters at once, and I’m not ashamed to say I ran as fast as I could. We all did. But I was the only one to survive.”
Gil-Oloth |
Gil-Oloth stops puffing and her gaze stops on the woman.
Don't lie to the Stars. The Stars know. They don't judge.
Tell us the Truth, all the Truth, nothing but the Truth. Then, may be you will be able to judge yourself justly.
Don't obscur yourself with half lies and half truth.
Mustaparta |
"Ok, I'm telling you the truth. Our team was attacked by a group of fey, not just some random monsters, and only way I could save my life was to swear loyalty to Calius, their leader. Also I knew Avor walked into their ambush when I led him there. I had no other choice to be spared from Calius's wrath." she explains with despair in her eyes
