Daqas sees the deers, and immediately shakes his head, feeling an effect psionically attack him. He tries to gesture to prevent the others from looking at the animals, but it may be too late...

I have no idea what the second will save is - I posted assuming the failed roll. By the way, I put my numbers on the header, and it's okay if you want to pre-roll my saves for me to speed things up in the future
It was in fact too late, and Daqas was now back on the Plane of Air. He smiled - it was somewhat comforting to be back home, even if... Just... For some seconds. Taken by the illusion, the Aarakocra realizes his mind was slipping on him, and his single concern was to somehow warn his colleagues.

I think everyone has done that. Force of habit to ask everyone to roll their saves.

Perception Checks to see Daqas signaling everyone:
* Borak's Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
* Elaine's Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18
* Tkk-Tkk's perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
* Zok's perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
* Magnus' perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
This is to see if everyone got the communique that the Athasian deer are psionic/psychic.
Børak
Seeing Daqas signaling a warning, Børak pulled on the reins stopping his Crodlu. Lifting a closed fist to stop the caravan, he turned to Magnus using sign. "Daqas says somethings wrong."
Turning he watches the sky to see if Daqas or Tkk-Tkk gives any more information.

Will Save: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34
In the physical world, Zok was not what he was when it came to fighting. But in the mental sphere, Zok was excellent at what he does. Feeling the feeble psychic influence of the deer, he brushed it off like road dust. Readying his sling, he nods at Daqas at the warning and looked to see if anyone else was ready. Meat was meat after all, and his chance to have the savory taste of deer in his mouth set forth the saliva, although he was well versed enough in survival to keep it in.
If within 30 feet, Zok will use Hypnotic Stare on closest Deer. If has the opportunity, readied action to sling at same said deer if it makes a move to attack or flee.

The deer is enscorcelled by your Hypnotic Stare. Anyone else want to try something?

I'm a little confused, is everyone other than the ones who made the survival rolls aware of the deer?

Sorry, about this. The deer only psionically attacked Daqas. Those that see the deer are not attacked. Zok managed to use hypnotic stare on one of the deer, and now I'm waiting for actions from the rest of the group.
Elaine Aslandaughter
Elaine spots the deer but is not concerned, dismissing her companion's sensible warnings.
"They're deer, not tembo. A good sign to see them here, and of course they are good eating, but nothing to concern ourselves too much with. No, we should begin with watering the caravan. The beasts will dehydrate and founder if we do not tend them quickly now that we are stopping."
Survival, helping water the caravan: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
Elaine will be cautious about the deer, but isn't going to actively attack them unless they attack her allies.

@Elaine: the deer very much attacked us (Daqas) already - as Daqas tried to signal, and as the GM told a couple posts above
@GM: Is Daqas able to act, or is he somehow enthralled/confused/disabled/etc.? Thanks!

Daqas is confused. He'll be that way for a further 2 rounds.

'What good fortune, we can always use some extra meat. No need to frighten them by charging into them with my Crodlu'Seeing the deer, Børak decides it wouldn't hurt to gather a little extra meat. Whistling softly the command for the Crodlu to 'Stay' Børak dismounted and began to sneak closer as he took his sling out.
Two move actions, Dismounted, move towards the deer. drawing sling as he went. he'll want to get within 50 ft. how close is he?
Zok the Butcher
On Tkk-Tkk's blast, Zok also slings a stone, having readied an action

damage+painful stare: 1d3 + 2 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (2, 2, 3) = 11
The slung stone seemed to be fairly accurate as Zok bent the creatures perceptions a bit to get it to flinch in just the right way as to be hit in a sensitive spot. He was a bit rusty though, hopefully the stone would do enough damage.

The stone hit, but that caused the deer to break for it. The deer you hit is a doe, and not a buck.

Elaine chuckles as the deer try to run away from a flying predator.
"That was well struck. Now they run, but they are going to have little luck running away from friend Tkk-Tkk and Daqas, I think. Here, we should have some room at the oasis, yes."
So saying, Elaine moves closer to the water, keeping a wary eye on it in case there is more here than deer.
Børak
Seeing the herd begin to move at speed away from the oasis, Børak tucks his sling back into his pouch. He nods to the halfling. It had been a good shot, much better than Børak probably would have made. He was glad Zok and the others were good shots. He just didn't want them to know what a bad shot he was. His astral armor and gladiator training made him a beast at close fighting, at range? He was no better than a normal human. Smirking at his own pride, Børak returned to his mount. Taking the reptile by its reins he began walking it towards the oasis, keeping a keen eye out for anything unusual.

Smiling his pointed teeth up at Elinor, he was pretty happy with his shot. "I haven't done that in a long time. I should try to track it a bit and finish it off. Yes you have an easy time tracking, even though it's over solid granite. Two of the deer are wounded so you have the benefit of tracking one because he's been bleeding.
You also been sneaky.

Free of his confusion, Daqas looks around to understand the situation, and flaps his wings with strength to push him towards the dead deer. He lands by its side, looking in a stern way towards the rest of the fleeing herd.
I harbor no rage towards you, prey. You do me honor by fighting back. - he says, touching the body by his side, and then looking back at Tkk-Tkk - Good job! It seems tonight we will feast.
He doesn't attempt to pursue the other animals, instead simply showing satisfied with the work of the Thri-Kreen.
Posting to keep us moving ahead! I hope I interpreted the situation correctly, GM.

Zok attempts to close the difference with no one else disturbing the area, he notes that even an injured animal shouldn't run farther than they have to. Hopefully he'd be able to get one more go at finishing it off.
Børak
Hoping that Zok, Daqas and Tkk-Tkk return from the hunt safe, Børak gestures towards Magnus, signing, "I will start setting up camp on the front side of the caravan." As he leads his Crodlu towards the water, he takes out his slate board, righting it on as he walks. Pausing near where Elaine is helping water the animals, as his mount drinks he shows the board to the druid.
Will set
Up Camp
He then points towards the front side of the caravan. Once his Crodlu had it's fill he drank a little of the water, filling his water skin.
Leading his Crodlu towards the direction the caravan will be moving in the morning, he finally stops about a hundred foot that side of the caravan. Unsaddling his Crodlu, he takes some dried meat out and lets the animal eat, while he unpacks this ruck sack. Then begins to build a fire, hoping one of the hunters would bring back a deer.

As Borak motions to the growing camp, Elaine nods and gestures to Saurah.
"My tent and Zok's are both still on the saddlebags on her right. If you want to stake out a space for some of us to camp near each other, my tent is large and I zok's is small, so we shouldn't disrupt the line much. I'll be along with them after I convince grumpy here to drink." she pats the beast gently, then moves so she can scritch a particularly itchy ear. Eventually, it lowers it's head and she encourages it to drink its fill.
Satisfied, she leashes the beast in line with the rest, and collects her gear. After a moment, she grabs the extra saddlebag with zok's kit as well, and drags it along.
"Hopefully they come back soon, cooking the deer will take time."
She waves to Joshua, and Borak, drops Zok's saddlebag, and then begins setting up her tent."[/b]
Børak
Nodding as Elaine commented about the location of hers and the halflings tents, Børak 'stakes out a space' as he gathered a few dry scrub plants and old deer dung for the fire. Once the small fire is going, he places more rocks around it making it less visible.
He smiled and nodded when Elaine mentioned that she hoped the others returned soon, giving a light shrug about the cooking time. He'd thought the food they were given in the gladiator pits was bad, but honestly, he had eaten worse out in the desert. That's why he had purchased the 'Erdlu Canteen.'
Seeing Tkk-tkk return with a deer, Børak moved to his pack taking out the cast iron pot and a few wooden skewers. Holding the pot up in one hand, and the skewerers in the other, he made gave an odd whistle, that sounded almost like the Kreen word for "Preference?"
Daqas Kukiarr
Daqas helps to carry the hunt back to the group, then moving to a higher position over a rock and keeping his eyes circling around. He was still close enough to hear and speak, though - yet, at this point he preferred holding his silence, contemplative.

She looks confused at first, then slightly put off. "Neither." She will take a portion of brain and of liver and leave the rest to be parceled out. She enjoys her meal naturally, without ruining the flavor and texture through burning.

Survival take 10 is 25
Elaine chuckles appreciatively at the kreen’s comment, then sets about the business of field dressing the deer. It’s bloody work, but satisfying. Eventually a small pile of offal is set aside, ready to be buried, and a large amount of meat is available to be cooked.
”The work we do now saves our bodies work later, friend tkk-tkk. We can eat the flesh as you do, but our digestion is faster with some of the meat heated first. As if we were thrickila injecting venom to break down the beast. We use fire and salt and herbs. In some place I have been told they use fruit. Ah, there we are.”
With a last pull she finishes her task. The hide and bones she sets to the side, there is not time or tools on hand to properly tan it. Trusting the others to know what to do with the meat, she washes off, then collects a lightly cooked portion.
Tkk-Tkk
"Oh, I understand that many species require cooking meat to consume it safely. I'll eat dried or smoked meat when fresh prey is not available. But the taste and spirit are gone from such flesh. It is for mere survival of the body, but our kind cannot thrive on offerings to the fire.
I hope you enjoy it and find it filling." With that she takes her leave.
She flies off to bring Daqas some of the kill. (raw or cooked as his preference) She does not feel the need to speak, but to be there for him.

Ninja'd by EltonJ, will leave the post as is and roll perception, we can retcon any of this to happen later.
perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
Raising an eyebrow as Tkk-Tkk quipped 'Neither' Børak listened as Elaine and Tkk-Tkk conversed about how things are digested. The Kreen Børak had been enslaved with ate the same food as the other gladiators. He'd never really considered what Tik Lik may have actually preferred. Watching as Tkk-Tkk flew off with a portion of the meat. Collecting the rest he set it on a rock, cutting it up into pieces then putting it on the spit he occasionally turned the meat so it wouldn't burn on one side.
As they ate he inspected the carcass to see what he could salvage for weapons. The bones seemed reasonably strong, he hip bones were solid, but smaller than he'd prefer for a carrikal. Collecting the sinew from the legs and the backstrap, and the hooves to make glue he also cut the bones from he forelegs to use as handles for knives.
Realizing Elaine hadn't done anything with the offal, Børak returned to where he had placed his gear. Drawing out his slate board, he quickly wrote on it. Moving closer to Elaine he pointed to the pile of offal then to his Crodlu. Flipping the board over he showed her the letters
May
I ?

Daqas thanks Tkk-Tkk for the meat - raw, by large his preference - and even shows a smile behind his usually stern attitude.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (9) + 18 = 27 - he suddenly turns his head around, almost 180 degrees.
He thinks to himself if he's actually noticing something on the horizon, of if his falcony eyes fool him.

Tkk-tkk calls back to the main group, "Warriors Come!" and will fly towards the threat. He'll gesture to Daqas to circle the other way.

Sorry for the ridiculous amount of dice thrown on that last post. I normally preview, but I guess I missed it. Taking the amount of dice from the front of that ridiculous line, I would have done 14 damage, if that's enough to kill it I'd bring back the deer too, although a bit later, because I'm slow and a bit weaker than others.
I'll post an in character post when I know how I return.

don't know if were in rounds yet, or if this counts as a surprise round. But in case it matters, drawing weapon while moving towards the creatures. He would not move more than half the distance towards them.
