I just remembered that Winsome has fire resistance 5, so he can laugh a little bit as well.

Aiko hasn't rolled her bow attack, so I am going to do it here:

Winsome runs off to check with Shalelu and see if Ameiko is cured by the demonspawn's death. She is not.

Byron, do you use a shield? Zaraleva would love it, of course, but you are the slayer. Pearl to Lyraesel, as Winsome already made one for Zaraleva? Starknife to A or A?

Zaraleva is tempted to start "decorating" Lyraesel with the jewelry, just to see her irritated reaction. :p

I use two handed weapons. The returning Starknife might be good for Adrian if he can use it to have a magical weapon that can also be a ranged weapon. If no one wants it though, it would give me a magical ranged attack until I can get a better bow. I used up more magical arrows then I hoped to in the last fight.

Makes sense to me. So Ring of the Ram to Aiko or Byron?
(I can't believe we have a +1 longsword, our first magic weapon, and no one wants it.)

I am not interested in the ring. I can carry the sword until we can sell it if no one else wants to use it. Having a magical weapon is nice.

Someone should at least carry the sword in case we need to use a magical weapon before we get to a place where we can buy ones that are more in keeping with our personal styles.

I think now all we have left to do is to figure out what connection Ameiko has to Brinewall Castle and see if we can wake up Sleeping Beauty.

As a player I am a bit lost. It seems like we have cleared all the maps, or at least all of the maps are fully shown, so I am not sure where we need to go from here.

Well, the disk that we got from defeating the creature seems noteworthy. (I mean, it was literally noteworthy, in that the DM noted it after we defeated the monster and searched the area.) Maybe it has a use? It has magic.

At this point I'm out of ideas. My only suggestion is that we go to the nearest town, hire some craftspeople who are willing to work here, and we spend a bunch of the treasure that we got on fixing up Brinewall and turn it into a functional village again. Then we stick Ameiko in a glass coffin and live out the rest of our lives here.

(I think we are stuck in the adventure.)

I think we are missing a whole floor to search once we go down the stairs. That seems to be the obvious place to go. I just want to clear what is up above before going down. I think it is a little early to assume we have failed. I do think avoiding a 4th fight in a row with a flying creature sounds good to me.

The crying child is an attic whisperer, a creature that in all probability be little more than an inconvenience for a party of your level. We can run the encounter through OR we can say you dispatch it and head to W1 so we can get out of this castle. Your choice.

I am for playing it, because there's some opportunity to learn about what happened in the fall of Brinewall and roleplay a bit.

I'm all for you saying that Aiko picks the lock (or did we find keys?) and you rolling initiative to get the party started a little faster.


It's less of a matter of the door being locked and more of it being stuck and needing to be forced open, but we'll say that one of you takes 20 to bust it open.

But let's get this encounter going then!

So it appears like there should be one space for you to move in and attack if you want. There are three spots to attack in melee and Aiko and Zaraleva attacked with ranged attacks.
