Well, I go a homeoffice job which I have cheekily automated for the most part :).
From experience, game speed will slow down at some point, but yeah, I have fun playing Ragnar and did not expect to be selling his Nail Clippings as Aphrodisiacs. (was thinking of the "Need an effing cold Iron Great Axe to clip his nails as a running joke, now it becomes an income source!).
The hilarious thing is that it will probably even work.

Anansi the Spider |

Admittedly I am a daily poster (Table dependant), but these days I am on these boards 16+ hours a day because of current ankles situation...lol.
I am starting a PF2e game soon so prepping for that too.
EDIT
Nail Clippings as Aphrodisiac was a genius additive by the way...lol.

Ragnar av Gundrun |

If I am hugging too much spotlight in diplomatic stuff, just say so btw.
Ragnar is pretty talkative and social for a Bloodrager.
Oh, I am considering a fractured mind dip at level 6 or so when his Bloodline asserts itself a bit more.

Anansi the Spider |

While I am greatly appreciative of the latitude that you are showing me while rping his seeing/talking to the ancestors, I do not want to circumvent any potential points without using any mechanical abilities.
Would you allow me to use his daily uses of
I thought about ranks in Bluff, but he is not trying to bluff.
Am I over thinking this....lol?

Krystal Popescu |

I still can't believe we pulled that off. But in this case it makes sense for like-minded people to get along.

Ambriel Kogalnica |

Question! Is this still the same day as when we went to the Heidmarch estate, or is it the next day now?

Krystal Popescu |

I honestly thought I could take Anansi across as a light load, but I think my other items puts her as having a medium load. Would I be able to make it across under that?

I'm hoping to go through and update the Magnimar map to show known locations, but thats kind of a low priority and I have a lot going on, so no promises on that getting done. I mention that because there is a really big dungeon crawl for the second half of this book (most of the books in this AP are structured in a similar way) and visiting a monument or two before going in might be really useful.

Ragnar, since you have the combat Reflexes and reach thing going (and since you were just talking about it, lol) I'd say just add AoOs under a spoiler whenever you post a normal combat action. That way they're always handy. It is something that's core to your fighting style, so may as well! I will be as mindful as I can about post-roll-pre-AoO buffs knowing this is something that will come up.
Will get the gobbo actions up sometime today. Errands first, lol.

Ragnar av Gundrun |

Understood, excellent idea.
I will probably keep raging through this fight, and not have rage rounds left for the boss where I will swtich to weapon and shield for mixure of tankiness and non lethal takedowns.

Ragnar av Gundrun |

One gob remaining! Will he KO Ragnar? vs AC15?
Hits on a 13, so 35% to hit, and 25% to put him at zero after he drops rage.
I was rolling high myself so far, perhaps the Gob absorbs Ragnars good luck?

Krystal Popescu |

So are we chasing or are we meeting up with them at another time?

Ragnar av Gundrun |

I would rather not squeeze and pursue a Goblin. Penalties are severe (-4AB and -4AC), I am fatigued for 6 rounds making it a -5AB and -5AC if I go in there.
@GM do I see it correctly that there is a second entry to our left at the side?
The Gob will alert his friends, if we semi stealthily bugger out, perhaps pretending, via Ghost sound or something to still be there, we could end up in a really good tactical position and basically subvert whatever clever suprise they may have. Should also give time for Ragnar to catch his breath and unf%+~ himself.
Painted an arrow on the roll 20 to indicate it.

Ragnar av Gundrun |

Probably channel once (I think some others got scratched, and the channel charge is probably less valueable then a spell slot), then see if Ragnar needs a CLW on top?
Does not seem as if we have ghost sound.

Once again I'm very sorry it's taking me so long to get posts up. Both April and early May have been just overwhelming. My workload is up and we transitioned back to working in the office part time. Since I work for the state and all such changes happen at all state offices it was a big change with many, many meetings and emails involved. On top of that many federal rules changed at the start of may as Covid-19 policies and procedures are replaced with 2+ year old versions from before. That meant many more meetings and emails.
Meetings would sometimes run so long over their scheduled slots they would completely swallow the meetings scheduled behind them, which would then have to be rescheduled. With all this going on we also still had our regular work to get done somehow. I also had a pet die. It's been a lot.
I think I'm mostly in the clear now with work and things will be returning to normal again. I'll be catching up on gameplay over the two or three days.
I hope I haven't been too much trouble to wait for.

Krystal Popescu |

Okay, I'm confused where we are now. Is the headquarters where Natalya and the goblins are at?

Krystal Popescu |

Alrighty then. Krystal's ready to bonk Natalya. I don't think I'll have the good luck think Caroliss casted, but I'll have the surprise round. We basically have time to get into position anyways.

Krystal Popescu |

Apparently he found someone who wanted to get the drop on us... I think. So we can continue the charade for now.

I made some dumb arrows to maybe explain it:
1: Krystal went up, and met the target, she and Ragnar bluffed her into not fighting us right now and moving down.
2: Same time, Anansi went out to search for a ladder, and ran into 4 goons and another female boss, who is hostile to Natalya and us, rather then giving answer, he jumped into the muck from where we fought the gobs from the pipe to hide.
3: Natalya and remaining gobs are currently not hostile and move towards the rooms where the 2 croosbow gobs were.
4: Ragnar moves towards this room, because Anansi is in trouble but Ragnar almost definitly doesnt see him right now.

DM Dickie |

Ragnar's summary is perfect. Which means I have to really think about the chain of events about to occur and be concerned about how rough this could potentially become, lol. The original plan was "players reach level 2 milestone either with ambush if spotted and engaged or after dealing with Natalya". You've got both at once, yikes! Update as soon as I can, but I'm exhausted from work and this is really hairy lol, so might be tomorrow.

DM Dickie |

Naw, ypu probably made it easier for you, just more complex for me, lol! Yes, I skipped her taking position just to make things easier to move into action under the assumption the others who haven't checked in before Anansi found trouble instead of a ladder would play along with the ruse.
I got the post in, but I'm going to repeat here for clarification:

Ragnar av Gundrun |

I moved people into a proposed position that fulfills several things:
1: The new bad guys can actually get to the other bad guys without going through us.
2: The new bad guys have to get past Ragnar and Alara to melee our backline.
3: Alara can move diagonally, in front of Ragnar, and Ragnar would still be able to strike with a Bardiche, currently ragnars hp and ac is higher, so he should probably take the incoming hits.
I hope Anansi is fine, but if we charge into the first room, we will be fighting the new bad guys and take hits for the old bad guys.
