Thank you for getting that information. I'll be getting ready for the kick off for the convention soon and I'm looking forward to running this.

I've set up a google sheets for people to drop icons, initiative and perception bonuses here on Maps and Handouts and that will be in my tagline and at the top of this campaign thread as well.

I generally like to run a relatively fast paced game that is looking for something happening every weekday and half pace over the weekends. So if anyone is expecting to be out for a period, it is absolutely no problem and perfect as long as you let the game know if you will be unable to post for a day or more. This is meant to be flexible so if there are any issues feel free to let me know.

As for your characters, I'm curious which of you have visited the planet of Tabrid Minor and the copaxi before. Both as a player and on the character you will be bringing for this adventure.

The other question I want to ask if there are any special abilities you wanted to mention your characters might have that you wanted to let me know.


I have played 1-22. I'm swear there was something else that dealt with a copaxi that I played but I can't remember what. But, very familiar here, player only.

And she will always tank the whole time though, if I remember correctly, she's a bit squishy.

You can bring any number of creatures into this space whenever you like. There are no boons suggested by the adventure. If you do have a vehicle boon that could be useful for this scenario, otherwise I would suggest any boon that would help you with the outlined mission goals or hazards that have been mentioned.

For clarity regarding the anomaly waves, talking with the mechanic, what you are likely to deal with when running into an obstacle is:

Each non-pilot will be able to attempt one check related to solving the obstacle. One success among the party will be enough to overcome it.
If you are a pilot, you can attempt a Piloting check. If you succeed, the non-pilots will get +2 on their checks for that obstacle.

If you are in a minisub, you must be a pilot.
One person in the main sub can be a pilot, but the DC will be higher than what the minisub pilots have (as you need to be better than the submarine's auto-pilot).

Alright, I wanted to confirm a couple details.

First, to make sure the mission goals given by Therseis and Zigvigix were clear for everyone.

Second, I wanted to confirm positions, Den'ea and Rodkin are in their own minisubs, while everyone else are in the larger pump-jet sub. Is that correct?

As far as Rodkin and the Mini sub, that is correct.

Reviewing the Mission brief, this appears to sum it up:
Find out what happened to the beacon and do whatever you need to repair it.
Bring back samples of any weird stuff you find.

That was a solid hit. I do have one question about the opportunistic fusion, isn't it +2 to attack and +3 to damage for your level 5 weapon?

So, only damage...but yes, my flail is level 5.


Not that it truly matters cause the fight is over any but I went back a looked, you said the creature had 125hp.

Even if the mind thrust was reduced, that rush damage should have killed it.

Den'nea want her smoked mutated gator.

It's really fine, just an interesting way of handling that.

That is correct, however there might be some confusion because it wasn't your turn to act in the combat. Your action for that round I believe was to use Black Hole to try to pull the creature away from the submarine. The creature just used the actions to begin withdrawing from the combat before your turn.

While I dropped you out of initiative because you successfully succeeded in the fight and I didn't want to slow the game down by keeping you in initiative among other reasons. The party does have the option to continue the fight, and I put a specific note for you in there if you wished to commit to that action.


I know but the black hole was the round before that. That last round would have been Delea, the crock, then everyone else.

Right on though, let's push on unless the others want their gator meat too.

At the moment I'm not looking for a check just yet, but I do want to confirm the party is agreeing to whatever request is being made. If you have any questions, concerns, requests for clarification, or negotiations offers you have with either others or Cas, then I encourage you to make them. You're right, I've been auto adding in the Photon Attunement plus one and adding on top of it. So, her bonus to damage is +9 and +2 per Opp. Fusion with a natural 19 on the die. Other than that, looks straight to me at 30 damage. Not sure whey I would have to reroll it.

It is not a problem, I just explained it because you asked me to explain why. I'm used to seeing small errors creep into PbP. On that matter I t does seem that my damage count is off for Den'nea as well. I was thinking her AC was 21 when it was 22. That means two of the attacks I treated as hits actually missed.

The damage on Den'nea is 31 barring anything else I missed. I'll update that on my next combat tracking post.

I will admit that one goal I have for this fight is to see Rodkin crit as I believe he deserves a burst of luck following the chain of will saves.
