In a rage, Shandi absolutely misses her beam of fire, but continues to dance with a dagger in front of the monster and shout at him.

Blaze staggers as the plant-monster-thing hits her with a wallop. She tries to summon the rage that had helped her before, but she's just too tired to find it. Fortunately, the now-familiar touch of Malaya's healing blessing ensures that she'll be able to keep fighting. As Shandi throws herself recklessly at the monster, Blaze cries, "Stop, Shandi! I can take this!"

She swings again, trying to angle upwards at the limb/branch/protrusion that the monster had hit her with. Unfortunately, it's a bad angle, and her attack is too weak to do much damage.

The tiefling looked towards Shandi as if she was crazy, asking for her to be hit whatever this creature was. There were a few folks that called her not the most right in the head but wanting to die from whatever it was in a Hell hole like this was definitely way further than her.

"Ya damned idiot, south your damn mouth!" she cried out as she summoned up more fire to throw towards the creature.

Blaze had fallen into a rhythm of chopping at the great beast. Then it lashed out at her, and she skittered aside to avoid the blow, but then missed her own retaliatory swing.

The tielfing was honestly running out of ideas as this point against such a creature, not wanting to get too near it for any long measure but getting more and more annoyed at the fact that her firebolts continued to miss and miss such a strange and terrifying creature that was before them. A thunderwave spell was good if cornered, but she was from that. So, she threw another one at it. This time with Sven's aide doing far better than before.

Velspira 9 Velsipra is able to do some damage with Sven's assistance, though fire does not seem to have the effect you would expect on a plantlike creature.
Sven 4 Technically you would have helped for Velspira's next round, but she used it and combat is difficult in this situation and you are so close on initiative you could have delayed it so we will just go with that.

Blaze, seeing that Redemption was being crushed by the vegetative abomination, splashed closer and tried to tear him from the creature's grip.

Redemption struggled against the thing, but of the many thing the Warforged druid was, 'strong' was not one of them. Almost all the offensive ability shown so far had been magic in nature.

There was a sickening sound of creaking metal and cracking wood as the Warforged was compressed. Redemption groaned pitiably at the incessant pressure.

Seeing as how her own magic was up to snuff to kill the overgrown weed, Velspira took to her crossbow. On its frame a crudely carved word Smile had been put there by its owner as she fired the prepared bolt. She wasn't the best shot, but she knew she had to be able to hit something with it eventually with how big it was. Anything would have to do in order to kill this thing, given how it took the strange contraption in its clutches and consumed it as it appeared. She wasn't wanting to be next, keeping her distance.

Redemption nodded thanks to Sven as the magic mostly restored his ravaged form, rising up with an undignified scramble and a groan of freshly repaired wood. The Warforged lashed out with the stave again. So long as it was focused on crushing him it would leave the others alone, perhaps.

Blaze was gratified to pull the Warforged free, and took her axe up again. The creature looked like their attacks were starting to weaken it, so she did the only thing she could, and kept whacking at it.

With the strange contraption of what she could only assume was some sort of man or creature freed from the beast, she only did what she assumed was a logical course of action, "Come on Smiley, do your thing," she spoke hurriedly as she reloaded and fired again as quick as she could.

The caverns start to shake and quake beneath you. You encounter a series of challenges as you run out of the house as furniture and things come alive and try to prevent you from leaving. You eventually make it out. You no longer see the two children outside and the fog is lifted revealing a gothic town setting before you. Roll con saves DC 15 or suffer one level of exhaustion. Once you take a long rest you will be level 3

The artificial humanoid trembled in exhaustion, as Warforged did not need to breath and panting didn't seem needed. "Unknown. I do not recognize this place." Then again, Redemption still wasn't certain how they'd arrived in this place. 'Fog' didn't seem like a great answer, but it was currently the only one they had.

Blaze stomped her hooves and breathed deeply, glad to be out in the open air once more. The run had been invigorating, but she was thankful to be out of the haunted house.

She looked around at the town; she had never seen anything like it before. "I'm glad the fog is gone, I didn't like that," she said, shaking her hair and mane. "But I had hoped that maybe we would come out and be home again. I am guessing that none of you live here?"

"How ya like them bolts do ya, ya big ugly! the Tiefling shouted in triumph as her bolt collided into the creature and slew it before it could reach Malaya.

In a furious dash, avoiding evil home furniture and other terrible things that could befall her, the rest of the group and her escaped by the skin of their teeth. She could finally rest easy but she couldn't, surveying the land around them. Even with the lifted fog, it was still rather desolate and weird.

"Town over there, could use a bit after that scruff now. A pint or two maybe then and a good clean. Nothin' but dust in there... well now it should be suppose so," she'd point tot the Town before looking back to the house.
