Most of the maps... some of the older folk can point out some locations but there directions are lacking any for sure spots. Most of the folk of Owl Port are commoners, warriors, and a few experts. Your best bet would be to speak with the mayor, the lumber mill, or the Huntsman. The Huntsman brings in a steady flow of beasts for the town to live off. He has a hut down south about 7 miles but is normally out hunting. If you make yourself at home make sure to bring some drink and salt.
A Fiendish one must have come from an evil outsider mating with a Crystaline Elk.
Stratton, You know all about half fiends and such.
☆☆☆
The door slowly unlocks its many locks. Then the doors slowly open. Revealing Alia and her children ready for a fight. Seeing you they sheath their weapons and relax. Then they greet you and welcome you in.
Once everyone is past the threshold, the doors slowly close.

Zaidel |

As the door closes, Zaidel asks, "Hello, Locke Family! Having problems with the neighbors?"

Zaidel |

Zaidel returns the hug. "How have you all been? I have some news about Matthew. Let's sit down and I'll pour the drinks."

Alia Silverleaf |

She starts off pleasant enough replying, "We have been good: training, researching and daily tasks." Her voice quickly turns to concern and accusing eyes, "News about Matthew? What do you mean he should be with you?!" She walks angerly into a side room and waits for Zaidel and anyone with him in before barring the room from her children and those not immediately involved.

Zaidel |

Zaidel enters the side room to an angry Alia.
"Alia. Matthew was taken. He was fighting along side us against some fiendish elks, and he disappeared. Once the battle was ended, I asked the Blue Screen where he went." The satyr sighed with worry. "The Olympian Gods took him. Put him in some Battle Royale. At first the Blue Screen gave us the option to join him. Which the team had agreed to do. But then a new Purple Screen popped up, actually speaking to us, telling us the likelihood of us joining Matthew would lead to our deaths, since all the threat were at least 10 levels higher than we were. And to our everlasting shame, we didn't go to help Matthew."
"But there is hope", Zaidel added. "Matthew, somehow, found a way to communicate with us through a Blue Screen!! He said if we finish the Big Hunter Quest, he'll be sent back. We're on our way back to Owl Port to hunt the last remaining creatures for the quest: more crystalline fiendish elks. I wanted to stop by to tell you what happened."
Zaidel stood stock-still, waiting for Alia's response.

Unable to find the others, Jean will ask around the town for the elks location.

He has a hut down south about 7 miles but is normally out hunting. If you make yourself at home make sure to bring some drink and salt.

Alia Silverleaf |

You can see the many emotions cross her face as she listens to you. Finally she steps forward and hugs Zaidel again. She soothes him with whispered reassurances, "It is not your fault and bear no blame. This was prophesied when he gains enough strength he will face the Olympions wrath again. The outcome is unknown. Though he likely can't complete the trials as it would end with him dead or a god. Gods are hard to kill. Knowing Matthew he may find a way. Come we need to hurry to Mia and Owl Port then!" She then grabs your hand and rushes from the room as quickly as she can.
☆☆☆
Once through the doors she shouts, "Matthew needs our help! Teleport outside of Owl Port!"

Mia Thornrose |

She looks up from the book she was reading and waits for Zaidel to explain.

Angelica Delathor |

She quickly pulls her bow at the burst of the doors and aims an arrow but seeing Alia she lowers the arrow.

Zaidel |

Zaidel is startled to see the woman he loves once more. "Um..Queen Mia! Lady Angelica! We request a teleport to the outskirt of Owl Port."
"Matthew was taken by The Olympian Gods, forced to fight in a Battle Royale. If we can complete the Big Hunter Quest, which you no doubt have seen on your screens, Matthew says he can return. So we wish to return to Owl Port, to hunt the remaining beasts to bring Matthew back."

Jean will take to the air and try to track down this huntsman.

Mia Thornrose |

Mia nods and gets up. She puts the book on a nearby table and goes to a shelf covered in scrolls. She selects a few of them and walks back to the throne. She presses a few runes upon the throne and a crystal ball hovers over her to remain stationary before her. She casts the several spells and nods, saying, "Yes that should do nicely! We will go with you to hunt these elk. There should be plenty of them around unless I squished them all. I shouldn't have since we are now within a lake. Head on down. When you get to the doors they will be open and we will soon be following you." She then pulls a lever and types in her password on the magical keyboard, she continues to work.
After a few minutes you feel a whoosh and you feel as if you have been moved but are still in the same place.
If you are still in the room you see: Then she grabs a few items including a sturdy looking backpack, a staff, and a rod. The rod hands on her belt. She quickly follows those who have already exited the room.

Alia Silverleaf |

Alia quickly heads down the stairs again at the mention of the doors. She collects her children telling them to prepare for combat. Seriously she states, "We hunt fiendish crystaline Elk to bring back your father. The Trial has started and it appears this will help bring him back."

Stratton of Arcanium |

Stratton purchases a fine wine bottle, a well-aged whisky bottle, and a bit of rum and a sack of salt before headed out to find the huntsman's hut. While travelling in that direction, he sees Jean flying well ahead of him.
Upon arrival, he greets the dragon. "It seems we gathered the same intel on where to ask about the elks." he says, smiling.

Zaidel |

Zaidel makes his way downstairs go the main door. "Holy cow! I wonder if this spire has a chameleon circuit? The satyr wonders to himself.

![]() |

Jean will land in front of the hut and nod at Stratton, "Yes. hopefully, the huntsman knows something." He then looks around and calls out, "Hello, is anyone here?"

Mia Thornrose |

She rushes up and states, "See no one is going to bother us now, no neighbors for miles."
She waves her hand and two long row boats appear. Each of them can easily have a dozen people on them with benches for eight. She climbs into the one on the left and has a seat at the back of the boat, hand on the rudder.

Zaidel |

Zaidel nods, as he sits down and begins to row to shore.

![]() |

Jean will move around the house and use his draconic sense to see if anyone else is around.
I have Blindsense out to 60 ft. Do I think there is someone/something in or around the building?

GM Wolf |

There are at least a dozen small or tiny creatures within. No sign of the Huntsman. Smoke lazily comes from the chimney. There are chairs, tables, and hammocks all along the porch which circles the house. Some of the shutters are open and you see quite a few house cats laying around enjoying the sun.
☆☆☆
With everyone rowing mostly in tandem you get to the shore in under a half hour. Hitting the shore most quickly leap out drawing their weapons. Alia in the lead.

Angelica Delathor |

She takes her time and hops out of the boat waiting for Mia.

Mia Thornrose |

With Angelica's aid she disembarks without getting her feet wet. She casts a spell on herself and Angelica. Before the duo follow.

Zaidel |

The satyr smiles, glad to see the old team back together again. "Alright! Let's find those elk!" Survival: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33

Alia Silverleaf |

She takes a few moments to orient herself before looking for elk. Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
She drops her club and pulls out her composite longbow as she whispers, "Elk 200 feet down on the shore, how do we know if it is fiendish?"

Mia Thornrose |

She offers, "First we have to get a clear view of it but it will be good eating, either way. Shall we bring it down?"

Zaidel |

"Either I or Mia could cast detect evil", Zaidel offers. "I also assume there are visual clues as well."

![]() |

Do Stratton and I see Zaidel and company or is the Spire somewhere far away?

GM Wolf |

Jean you get to the hut you believe the townsfolk speak of on a hill. As you descend you see that a massive spire appears and displaces a good portion of the fog revealing a large lake.
Yes you would see the Spire, though with distance and fog you cannot see the lake let alone the group.
The Spire is about a half mile away maybe 3/4 a mile away. It is hard to tell with the fog.

Alia Silverleaf |

She quickly states, "My children and I will go hunt to the West. You go along the shore to the North." Then she heads out with them leaving, Zaidel, Mia, and Angelica to hunt.

Mia Thornrose |

She nods to Alia and looks to the North again, "Angelica and I can hit the elk from this distance but it is hard to see it through the drifting fog. Let's move forward and on Zaidel's attack we will act as well."

Zaidel |

"You bet. Let's go!"
Zaidel stalks the north, doing his best to track the elks in this fog.

Jean looks at Stratton and says, "Maybe Mia knows something at the Spire. Want a lift?"

![]() |

Jean will grab Stratton and take to the air.
I will carry him, but no riding me. :P

Mia Thornrose |

I am sure that will work, Jean flies up and then toward the Spire peaking out of the fog. In minutes of flying and you get a message from Mia, "I knew adding that quality would work out for the best. Check out your ring from Jellena it should have at least one stone glowing. We are on the shore about ready to hunt. Watch for my burning hands spell. Zaidel we are waiting on you."
You see the cone of fire burn a hole in the fog. Then Angelica shoots straight up with her eldritch blasts.

Zaidel |

Zaidel gets the same communication from Mia via Jellena's Ring.
I sense a elk in the fog. I'll detect evil once I get close enough.
The satyr quietly approaches within 60 feet of his quarry and cast detect evil.

Stratton of Arcanium |

"Sure. I was warned the Huntsman may not be home. Might as well use the time to get Zaidel in on the action, eh." Stratton says to Jean, accepting the lift.

GM Wolf |

Zaidel quietly moves forward and sees the evil elk before him. Its aura of evil is present, though it might be a bit hard to see with the moving fog.
