You feel like there is more to the ring, you do know that it is a ring of protection +1. Sorry I forgot.

Using detect magic and K Arcane you can see that there is varying levels of spells upon the ring and comes from the schools: abjuration, conjuration, and transmutation.

Mia's terrier could be a puppy cayhound, it is a good option when concerning things happen.

True Form (Ex)
At 7th level, a chosen one’s familiar reveals its true form, transforming into an outsider improved familiar that matches the chosen one’s patron’s alignment (typically an arbiter, a cassisian, a harbinger, or a silvanshee, but potentially any lawful neutral, lawful good, or neutral good outsider familiar depending on the patron). The familiar gains the change shape universal monster ability if it doesn’t already have it, which it can use at will to transform into its original form or back to its true form.

Which most of the examples are a CR 2 so likely not a cayhound. He does look and sound like a little black terrier.

You all feel the brimming sensation that comes with a level up. Yes that is right you soon will be 3rd level. Though there are still some obstacles in your path before it can happen:
Level Up Ritual: You must use this ritual at every odd level.
Offer up a sacrifice and then burn incense worth 100 gp x your new level. The ritual takes at least 4 hours. You can cut the cost by extending the ritual time.
8 hours = 1/2 cost
16 hours/whole day = 1/4 cost
Etc.

Suggested Offerings: A seed and the meal you plan to eat. “You take life and make life.”

The other option is finding a Dragon Shrine.

*You can still gain experience until right before your next level up, 4th level. So no experience will be wasted if you continue to finish the Elrick Manor dungeon.

It would depend upon which God you plan on offering it too. Though most gods would see a magic item as well over the required price. It is only 300 gp for this level.

I am sorry I did not get on yesterday. We packed a lot and in 100+ heat. So I was exhausted and crashed hard. I will be on the Oregon Coast for another week. No wifi but I will try to make some phone posts. It is my last vacation so don't expect any posts. We leave tomorrow!

A bard of 3rd level or higher can use his performance to help an ally succeed at a task. The ally must be within 30 feet and able to see and hear the bard. The ally gets a +2 competence bonus on skill checks with a particular skill as long as she continues to hear the bard’s performance. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels the bard has attained beyond 3rd (+3 at 7th, +4 at 11th, +5 at 15th, and +6 at 19th). There is a major perk that you gain and then based on level.

I am spitballing ideas which include +3 vs. Poison, you don't pass out until your 5th failed drinking save, +2 Con, and then something super useful...

At 1st level you gain a +2 to one ability, your choice.
2nd: Gain a bonus on a skill - +2 on ...
3rd: Gain a special - Ghostly Smite 1/day
4th: +2 to one ability, your choice different than before; or +1 to two abilities.
5th: gain a bonus feat
6th:
7th: +2 to one ability, your choice different than before
8th: Gain a special - Exorcise Possession
9th: Gain a bonus on a skill - +2 on ...
10th: +2 to one ability, your choice; or +1 to two abilities.
11th: Gain a special - Speak to the Restless
12th: gain a bonus feat
13th: +2 to one ability, your choice different than before

So you don't have this yet.
