Kalia the Ulfen-Elven Huntress
|
Welcome! Please dot here.
Greetings, I am Kalia, and this is Tika.
You see a half-elf with outdoor gear and a leopard. She has a nice longbow, plus a long slim sheath that might hold an Elven curve blade ... and an Elven branch spear. She has a few elven-looking touristy trinkets but acts and dresses pretty much like a human, with a Ulfen accent.
She clearly has new hot-weather clothing... most Ulfen clothing would not be great down here! Anytime her "endure elements" wears off she's going to sweat horribly.

"I am Anthys. Pleased to meet you."
Anthys is fairly short, at about 5'5". He wears well-kept full plate and carries a shield adorned with the sword-and-sunburst of Iomedae.
He is mostly of Taldan stock, although there is something else in there. (He has a Halfling great-grandfather). His accent marks him as from Lastwall.
Anthys was built for a PFS Teamwork Experiment. Although that table eventually ended (GM absence), he has the Fighter's Tactics ability which is just Solo Tactics. That means that his mediocre stats become quite good when adjacent to allies. He also carries a +1 Arrow Catching Steel Shield so allies benefit by being adjacent to him. And he can share out some of his teamwork feats.
If he is adjacent to 3 allies, he gains (all include increases from his Ring of Tactical Precision):
+3 AC if one of them has a heavy shield, or +2 for a light shield or buckler (Shield Wall);
+3 to any attack, save, skill check, or ability check 1/round (Scion of the Lost Empire);
+4 sacred bonus to AC and saves vs evil foes (Lastwall Phalanx, shareable);
+4 untyped bonus to saves (Shake it Off); and,
+1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves (from Heart of the Streets human option).
Even summoned creatures or Shadow Conjurations count as allies.
So from AC 27 and saves +8/+5/+5 he goes to, against an evil foe, AC 34-35 and saves +16/+14/+13 with an extra +3 on a save 1/round. That's with no Cloak of Resistance. He really benefits by being adjacent to allies.
He also gets +3 to hit and damage vs any foe damaged by an ally within the past round (Blood for the Empire). He moves through the squares adjacent to allies without provoking AOOs (Escape Route, shareable).
He also has Difficult Swings, so if he is between a caster and an enemy and makes a full attack, the enemy cannot simply 5' step around him to attack the caster.
If it looks like our party will be able to help Anthys be in formation, then I will probably not spend a ton on upgrading his gear - really want to save for some bigger-ticket items. If for whatever reason that isn't going to work, then I will spend some gold.

I did send an invitation to another player from the Teamwork Experiment who shares several of the same feats.
Most of the First-Come First-Served PF1 games on the Outpost V spreadsheet filled up pretty fast. This game is listed on the "Other Recruitment" tab but does not have a Recruitment thread linked, which may be hindering signups.

@Tak, welcome. Looking at your spell selection, I should let you kmow: Anthys will generally not attack blinded foes. He will do what Conan did in the first movie - hold his sword, look badass, and wait for them to regain their sight before re-engaging.
He's not going to stop anyone else from attacking blinded foes, of course.
I just don't want you getting frustrated when he chooses to Delay. (Or, if there were any non-blinded foes, he would go engage them.)

Hello! I missed Anthys PM earlier this week, but if there is still room, I would love to join. I've been away from PFS for some time, but recently came back and would love to team up again!

Awesome! Hello everyone!
Marcus was part of the teamwork experiment table with Anthys, and is focused around the Aid Other action and teamwork feats. He gives +5 on Aid with his trait and Ring of Tactical Precision, and an extra +1 for attack and AC. He can share his Covering Fire teamwork feat with tactician to allow him to aid the entire team's AC with throwing daggers at range for a minute. He can also aid as a move action, or as a swift action with inspiration.
Marcus also has covering defense, so can grant a cover bonus equal to his shield bonus to an adjacent ally by taking a total defense action. With shield wall, that gives +7. Marcus has most of the same teamwork feats as Anthys, but no solo or fighters tactics so will only be benefiting next to him.
Marcus can also aid caster level checks and concentration checks, if anyone has dispel magic or something else that needs a CL check, and can't be surprised in a surprise round.

@Tak anything that can boost AC (Barkskin and/magic vestment maybe?) Is likely to be much more effective than usual due to the large AC boosts Marcus may provide getting ACs up towards needing 20s to hit.
Marcus may also gift you his ring of Tactical Precision set to shield wall for +3 AC.

GM, we'll need a ruling on how or if rings of tactical precision stack.
For purposes of Aid Another, both Anthys and Marcus are wearing Rings of Tactical Precision
Each one gives an untyped +1 to aid checks given or received. It isn't clear if two rings of the same type stack or count as the same source, or whether the bonus boost to give and received would both function even if they were.
Marcus gives +6 to AC aid from this +1 Benevolent Armor, Helpful trait, and Ring of Tactical Precision. Does Anthys get the additional +1 from receiving Aid due to his ring?

Let's see...
(1) You both expended significant resources in terms of your build and your equipment to achieve this cooperative benefit.(2) The difference in question is only +1.
(3) The bonus is untyped.
(4) There are two different rings used by two different PCs. This could be interpreted as two different sources.
Sure. They stack. :)

Please roll for your boons. Roll a d20. On a result of 19 or 20, roll a d3 to determine which boon you've won.
boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 8
The Player Boons for PFS 1E are:
1. Traveler of an Unstable Timeline
2. Share the Wealth (Companions)
3. Expedition Manager
You may also roll your day job checks.
I have PFS numbers for Kelson, Anthys, and Kalia. I need numbers for Marcus and Claudia, please.
