Finally, you manage to tag the leader with the acid spray. The corrosive liquid manages to eat away at some of the armor on his shoulder. As the spray continues on, the archer is able to take cover behind the doorframe of the hovercraft. The acid hits the exterior and eats away a bit, but the damage hardly even cosmetic.

You absolutely can. Mostly because you have to be able to hit the hoverjet to get to the archer and then it's just a line through two points. I think the line is long enough.

The hoverjet returns fire with the fold out turret.

Siphon feels a shiver run up and down her spine as the samurai says he has further plans for her -- including breaking her.

She also suddenly realizes that he's going to throw Sahara into the sealed cage and leave if he can. One set of sand powers wasn't enough, but maybe two?

"Both of us! Now!" Siphon shouts to the silokinetic, and uses her stolen sand powers at the same time!

Is there a combo-style way to join powers together?

Sahara does her best to put what energy she has left behind Siphon's attack. They turn the ground of the old building into a wave of earth and stone. While the samurai is fast enough to avoid being buried beneath it, even he gets caught at the edge. The barrage of hard rocks knocks him off his feet and sends him rolling and tumbling across the floor. He manages to catch himself in a kneeling position by thrusting the tip of his katana into a part of the floor that was unaffected. Once the echoes of the attack have stopped, you can all hear him chuckling deeply behind his demon mask."That was actually pretty good. I guess I have to stop messing around."

Brisk is up. The only enemy left on the ground is Sapphire Samurai. The archer and hovercraft are still functioning too.

Sapphire Samurai is Dazed for his next turn.

Baxter takes an arrow that he's pretty sure should kill him. Luckily, he's made of different stuff than most people. Literally. However, he's not going to just shrug that one off either. He starts to go down, overcome by the powerful need for a nap, but then he sees the girl get surrounded by samurais. That doesn't look good.

Struggling to keep moving, Baxter pats around his jacket but comes up disappointed. Anything he has is going to hit too many people or not enough. His hand comes out with a spiderweb mine and after just a moment of consideration he tosses it high in the air towards the archer and the airship. He then falls to one knee and wonders if he's getting paid enough for this. Or if he's even on the right side.

"Aw man, I think I left my keys in the van."

Soon they were closing in on the hoverjet. As he gets close enough to throw, he fishes a lightning bug out of his jacket and hurls it towards the sputtering craft. But crashing it wasn't a great option if this was a rescue mission, prompting him to query the emo girl, "Can you get me inside?"

The girl takes a confused glance at the bug man and his question. "Do you know a teleporter? Nevermind. Just hang on! Sahara's tougher than she looks! A crash shouldn't hurt her!"

Hovercraft Fortitude: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Bug's little projectile hits the vehicle and explodes in a shower of sparks, but doesn't seem to have any effect.

The hovercraft returns fire against the two riding of the stone platform.

Having never sand-surfed through the city before, Baxter was having a hard time staying heroically focused on the objective instead of having a good time. He'd have to hang out with this girl again later.

Winding up a hornet like a baseball pitcher, he gives a quick introduction as an aside. "I'm Baxter by the way. Bug Hunter on the web." He hurls the hornet, only momentarily wishing he'd thrown a spiderweb mine to cash in on the obvious "web" joke.

Hornet Dart, Power Attack 2: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 6 - 2 = 20

Hoverjet Toughness: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Hoverjet Toughness: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

While Siphon's makeshift projectiles slam harmlessly against the armored hull, Baxter's attack has more luck. The dart gets sucked into the last engine and it explodes in a shower of fire and smoke. With no other method of suspension, the hovercraft dives for the ground. The transparent enclosure hits the ground first, Sahara and the Samurai get caught up in the shower of glass.

Sahara Toughness: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Sapphire Samurai Toughness: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Sahara's body crashes hard into the ground, unconsciously shifting into her sand form and spilling across the street just outside the warehouse district. The samurai makes a short teleport jump to land harmlessly on the ground just before the hovercraft slams into the ground, and skidding past the road and into the grass.

Doctor Night is able to keep up barely by pushing his leaping abilities to the utmost. He sees the unconscious and damaged heroine crash to the ground and moves to heal her with another packet of magically charged sand.

Healing: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

That roll should heal the worst three damage conditions so she should be more or less alright now. :)
