I mean, only if you want to be successful. ;-)

Bair is updated, but I haven't played him in a while. I'm not 100% sure how boons work anymore. I think (reading the guide) I am limited to one Advanced Boon, one Ally Boon and one Promotional Boon, right? Beyond that I can just slot any that I have?
Other than that, I am looking forward to playing him again. He is most definitely a front-line tank type. He has a reach weapon and the Attack of Opportunity reaction. GM, do you want me to include a spoilered AoO in each of my rounds in case someone provokes or just wait for it to happen to roll?

That sounds right.
A spoilered AoO would be very good to have. That way it won't slow the game down waiting for you, and prevents a lot of reconning.
I do that with my swashbuckler for his ripostes.

Before the game starts, please do fill out the:
and
Both are required to play!
FYI - it looks like this team is heavily martial. Hopefully that won't be an issue, but I'd probably suggest investing in extra healing potions and the like, if you don't have the Medicine skill.

I'm not 100% sure how boons work anymore.
I've almost given up on boons entirely, they confuse me so much now. (YMMV.)

Dr Talos |

Talos has Battle Medicine, Ward Medic, Continual Recovery, and Assurance to hit the DC 20. It’s something, at least.

![]() |

That should cover downtime healing at least, excellent. In combat we may just have to rely on potions.
Unless we happen to have any classes that could use heal or sooth scrolls?

![]() |

Jaqard has Battle Medicine as well (though his Assurance will only hit DC 15).

![]() |

Druid here. Not big on in combat healing, but I can cast the spell.
Will have Goodberry to keep us fed and help with healing.

![]() |

I rebuilt the PBP Macros sheet, as the one I had was not working.
Still need Brynn, Iarann, and Nina to fill out.
Also still need Iarann and Nina to fill out the sign in sheet.
Thank you!

Finally, please do introduce your characters in the gameplay thread!

Oh, also, if you want a downtime activity recorded on your sheet, please post it here.

Quick question...
It looks like BretI might need a player for his table... would anyone be willing to move over there, should his not make?

Nina is an angelic sorcerer and has plenty of healing.
In-combat:
1. Heal as a signature spell, plus Angelic Halo (15') focus spell
2. Spiffy new greater staff of healing (an extra 3rd or two extra 2nd level spells)
3. Battle Medicine (Assurance 22)
4. Vital Beacon (4th)
@Dr Talos: Nina picked up Invisibility (4th) as her cross-blooded evolution spell, which she is happy to use on you. Muhahaha.

GM Hmm |

One of the PCs playing on my table, a rogue, volunteered, to transfer in a couple days so that Bret could have one more person. If someone from here volunteers, Bret's table becomes a table of four with no pregen needed.

Dr Talos |

I’d be willing to hop over if needed, I really enjoy playing with Bret too as you know. But let’s give it a few days because signups are trickling in. (Also another rogue may not be ideal).
I don’t think there are pregens in the 7-8 tier.

![]() |

4. Vital Beacon (4th)
Excellent. I had this prepared, but I'm happy to swap this out should we get a moment to rest.

GM Hmm |

Thanks, Doug. There are no pregens in 7-8. Bret's table would have to run with a level 5 pregen to happen.

I have played under GM Bret a bit in pfs1. I would be willing to swap over to get it up to four and prevent a double rogueing (though there is nothing wrong with that :P).

Dr Talos |

Bret’s game has 3 and it seems that Hmm’s player hasn’t even gone over yet. Looks like almost all the tables in the con will fire, with 6 days to go yet.

Thank you to everyone who has filled out the PBP Macros... just waiting on Nina for her macros.
I've also posted the slides... please take the time to add your token, pronouns, glyphs, etc., to slides #2 & #3, where we'll be tracking Hero Points and marching order.

![]() |

Eep? I could have sworn I put them in before. I remember running out of columns to put lores down (Nina has 4) so I did what Bair did and used the Notes column.
Will redo, maybe it didn't save or something.

So, for the normal start of game list of skill checks, to save time, would you mind if I just list out all of the setups, with their checks, and then everyone can post their checks, and I'll post the replies once everyone has posted?
Seems to be a good way to handle this in PBP

![]() |

That works for me.

![]() |

Sounds good.

![]() |

Yeah, that makes sense.

Dr Talos |

Looks like we'veve got enough glyphs to start with 2 hero points each.

Pretty much what I expected.

Jaqard I made your token round on the handouts. Hope you don't mind.

![]() |

Quick point about hero points.
I have updated slide #2 with hero points (we had enough glyphs for 2 HP each).
I have also removed the one that Bair used.
In future, if you use a hero point, please remove it from this slide.
I will add hero points as I assign them.
Thanks!

Dr Talos |

I definitely think a scroll (possibly two) of 4th-level restoration. Talos will take one.

I assume that between our sorcerer and druid that both those scrolls (fly and restoration 4) can* be cast, correct?
*In no way does admission of capability cause you to be contractualized into any agreement to actually complete said act.

Dr Talos |

Restoration is a 1-min cast, meaning it's strictly an out-of-combat spell. It's also on our casters' lists (primal, divine). I think it's safe to assume our casters will be willing to help us between fights and use a restoration scroll if needed.
Fly is another story. Talos will just climb and balance if needed.

![]() |

So, once the decisions for both training items and the bonus items have been completed, do make the changes to your line on the table on sheet #4

![]() |

Note: If you don't have a school, or don't care, you will get two lesser healing potions.
Adding those to the column, so feel free to replace it if you want something else.

![]() |

Nina is capable and willing to cast both fly and restoration as needed / desired.
I am on my phone so I can't fiddle with the slides, but she's a 10 CON sorcerer ;) so high level buffing is her #1 choice for combat actions.

![]() |

Brynn won't need Fly, but of course is willing to cast it from a scroll too. But I think Nina is our primary buffer, and so I defer to her.

Dr Talos |

My choices have been made.

![]() |

I'll be posting in the morning... It will be mostly exposition after I make the skill checks for each section.
There really isn't much more until the next section... so this should take only a single set of posts tomorrow.
Thank you for understanding.

![]() |

What was in the box?
Don't ask David Mills.

![]() |

As I set up the encounter, I realize I have not asked if anyone has issue with identifying enemies by the color of their tokens for any reason.
Thanks!

Dr Talos |

I am colorblind but am fine if they're contrasting colors, dashed/solid, etc. You can click on the token and see what color the border is too, using the dropdown. I do that a lot.
Do what's easy, GM!

![]() |

I'll get this into a slide later, but I wanted to make sure you all saw this, in regards to the reduced gravity where you are!
The Bulk of all creatures and objects is halved, meaning creatures
acclimated to normal gravity (such as the PCs) can carry twice as much and jump twice as high and far. Physical ranged attacks are possible up to the twelfth range increment (instead of the sixth). A creature that falls in low gravity takes no damage for the first 10 feet of the fall, and then takes bludgeoning damage equal to a quarter of the remaining distance fallen.

![]() |

Oooh cool, Unbreakable Bair w/ Catfall is a god here vs. Falling Damage!
