Fafrd hits the creature once, but it still stands. -38 HP
Seelah & Ezren are up!
Sedoriku's 二番目 Pregen
Seelah takes a swing at the metal man next to her and Farfd. "These things do not go down readily, do they?"
Longsword: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Slashing damage: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (7, 2) + 4 = 13
Whiffing through open air again, she instead steps up to Farfd and lightly knees him in the side. "I've got my hands full, but have some healing. By the Grace of Iomedae you, hopefully, won't be dying today."
Lay on Hands for Farfd. 18 hp and +1 AC bonus for a round. I would have done that last turn but Seelah really should have been in the thick of it.
Seelah gives a glare at the metal man, a 'tut tut tut,' and moves up to them. "You really shouldn't be trying to hit us. A peaceful explanation of why we aren't allowed here and getting escorted back to the exit would be a better, more ethical way to handle this. Attacking on sight leads to comflicts like these, people and feelings getting hurt and no actual prevention of the undesirable behavior. "
Longsword: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Damage: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10
Eh at least she can claim a moral victory, if not a physical one.

Ezren strides up next to Fafrd. He then pushes some sparks out his finger tips towards the two Metal Men.
Electricity, DC21 Basic Reflex Save: 3d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) + 4 = 11
He reaches over to touch Fafrd's hammer "If it is alright, I think a little more electric damage might be useful"
As a free action Ezren uses Bespell Weapon on Fafrd's Hammer to give him an extra 1d6 electricity damage. I'll copy and paste the whole feat into discussions."

3: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 At least your arcs are eating my crits.
This time the other metal-man hops over the arc, avoiding the damage altogether! The other one avoids the worst of the blast.
Metal Man 3 powers up its laser, strides away, and shoots Fafrd!
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
Fire: 3d8 + 2 ⇒ (7, 2, 2) + 2 = 13 Reduced to 6 by Seelah

The insect-like creature on the floor is dead. They have strange-looking gear and wear an odd-looking pin decorated with stars. Art on slide 1
The rift hovers there, in the air. Feiya and Maldlethu recognize this as a moderate time rift. Creatures and objects from the creature can get through, not just voices! It has been caused by someone meddling with the Dimension of Time, and left unchecked it will grow and create more serious anomalies.
You can close it with an Arcana, Nature, Occultism, Religion, or Thievery check.
PF2 Pregen
Feyia looks at the rift and then turns to Fafrd "Do you have a bigger hammer?" she asks but then she reaches to one of her pouches.
Occultism: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
She reaches for magic and begins to temper with the rift
Fafrd the Grey Mouse

"No, this one does just fine." replies Fafrd. "Though I may want to replace it with a silver one, just in case."

Feiya closes the rift. Just before it closes several crates of strange gear appears: tubes with glowing metal, strange writing, and more.
The crates are labelled “Property of the Starfinder Society.”

Maldlethu can’t bear to watch as Feiya dispels the magic of the temporal rift, but his eyes light up at the arrival of strange boxes. “Quickly, let us open these!”

Seelah grabs ahold of Maldlethu's shoulder before he can dig into the boxes. "Hold up these aren't our property and we don't know what these do. Before the rift has a chance to close, Fafrd grabs as many crates as he can.
"Back off if you want, Seelah. But I am opening these."
He then inspects them for safety before proceeding further.
GM Doug H
One crates is filled strange metal balls that look like fruit that have pins on their top. It's labeled CONCUSSION GRENADES
There is another, larger case full of long tubes with shoulder pads on one end, handles in the middle with a switch, with cone-shaped metal objects sticking out the other end. They almost look like hand-held Alkenstar Cannons. It's labeled TACTICAL CLUSTER ROCKET LAUNCHERS
Another case is packed with red canisters that have gauges and flexible on them. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Sedoriku's 二番目 Pregen
Seelah's eyes widen at the sight of the second crate and quickly swoops in, pulling it out and moving it as far away from the rest of the rest of the group as possible. "Nope! No portable cannons! These things are so liable to explosions. If there's any fire nearby the blackpowder could leave little bits of us EVERYWHERE! If you want to look at these, look at them waaaaaaayyyy over here!"
Fafrd the Grey Mouse
|
”I wonder how these all works?” wonders Fafrd. ”Hang on, Seelah. They could be useful. ”
Sedoriku's 二番目 Pregen
From across the room Seelah shouts, "Could be but you mess with them over here away from everyone else... and point them down that hallway at all times!"

Feiya lifts one of the fruits and tosses it with all her strength at the wall. "I think this one is broken...unless it is a magical item, and I need to channel through it." She wonders out loud

"Well, fire extinguishers might be helpful, by the sound of then. The other rocket launchers, sounds like some sort of fireworks, but looks more dangerous. The grenades, lemme think on it."

"Probably some trick. Aren't there other Alkenstari bombs called grenades?"
He then checks out one of the rocket launchers, comparing to what he knows of Alkenstari guns. "This should just be point and shoot."
He grabs one of the rocket launchers, and looks for ammunition. "Each of us should grab a fire extinguisher. Probably be helpful if hit by alchemists' fire or the like."
GM Doug H
Fafrd thinks these "grenades" are a kind of sport ball, similar to the ones used in the Ulfen game Knattleikr of his homeland. it is played with a ball that is hit by a bat.
Weird these objects have a pin, but then again they seem to be weighted well for rolling and throwing…

Seelah looks at the 'TACTICAL CLUSTER ROCKET LAUNCHER' bat things and spots the tiny thing with a curve to it as if to fit a finger. "Wait I think I've seen something similar to this in Alkenstar... I think they called it a tigger? Anyways, it might launch what ever rocket like thing is in here. Didn't know a firework could be clustered and tactically at that." She raises the bat like thing gingerly and turns to face away from everyone the bat parellel to the group in case it launches the wrong direction and pulls the 'tigger'.

BOOM!
The wall she was aiming at… explodes. Pieces of rock fly everywhere.
Ashasar Slide 1 is kneeling on the other side. Apparently he was working on closing a rift in the adjacent chamber. Well, it's not adjacent anymore.
He doesn't move a muscle. Nor do you. You stare at each other in frozen tableau for several excruciating seconds.
Ashasar looks at the smoking hole. He looks at the rocket launcher on Seelah's shoulder. He looks at the rest of you just standing there.
The tiny elemental that's always circling his head whirls like a thundercloud. He speaks very slowly. What… did… you… do…?

She then turns to the rest of the group and says, "And that is why I was saying we should be extremely careful about these things. Did you see that explosion? How it turned part of the wall there into nothing-ness? We shouldn't mess with things we don't know what they are. Now toss those fruits out and let's try not to mess with what ever that fire extinguisher does. For all we know it doesn't actually extinguish things."

Soon they are gone, leaving nothing behind but a depressed Ulfen ranger and a pile of smoking rubble.

Seelah, seeing Farfd almost slavering over the rockets, starts to move to stop him before then having a small moral quandary over whether stopping him would be a good thing or not.
She gives a sigh of relief when the whole question becomes moot a few seconds later. She immediately instead moves into consolation mode instead. "It's okay Farfd, they probably would be made illegal to use in no time flat in Absalom. Could you imagine what would happen if some goblins got ahold of it? Or tinkerers figured out how to make more? I don't know if I'd ever want to try playing tag with those rockets."

Venture-Captain Armeline Jirneau gathers the Pathfinders in the remains of a shattered chamber, beneath a starry night sky. “Congratulations on making it this far! You’ve all earned a break. Let’s set up camp. We’ll pick up the focus’s trail tomorrow.”
Before the Pathfinders scatter, Urwal interjects. “Look at the stars. Take it in. You’ll never see a sky like this again. The stars tell us we’re on Akiton, fourth planet from the sun.” He points at a blue dot in the distance. “That’s Golarion. Savor the sky. It’s breathtaking.”
-----
After a night’s rest, Venture-Captain Jirneau gathers the Pathfinders together once more, just as Ashasar and a team of scouts stride into camp. “We’ve found the focus. It’s beyond a time rift far stronger than any we’ve yet encountered.”
“You heard him!” Armeline shouts. “We’ve got some reality to repair. Let’s move.”
Table GMs, please begin Event #1
GM Doug H
BEFORE:
──────────
All of you take an overnight rest. Pathfinder Society medics heal everyone completely and remove any lingering conditions such as poisons or diseases. While you rest, other agents keep watch in shifts.
At dawn, while the Pathfinders eat breakfast, scouts are sent out to find the focus. YOU ARE FULLY HEALED OF HP DAMAGE & CONDITIONS. YOU CAN PREP NEW SPELLS.
✶✶✶
NOW:
──────────
You move to your designated location — not a moment too soon!
Dozens of jagged tears in reality cut through the terrain, forming a glowing purple barrier that blocks further passage. Howls, snarls, and voices displaced through time issue from the rifts, and movement is visible within. Among them, you hear some familiar voices of the past… yours.
"…I would very much like to try the roast pork…"
"…Hells bells, this is a big wave…"
"…It might even be considered a bad news bear…"
"…like a snowcap on a mountain peak, just waiting for a loud noise…"
"…May the power of magic burn away your wounds…"
"…timey-wimey…"
And that strange deep feminine voice again:
"Felise! Where are you? I don’t know where I am!
I don’t even know when I am...
Felise! Can you hear me?"
Ashasar and Armeline spread out, then reach out with hands, magic, and mind:
“Now! Seal the rift!”
✶✶✶
You instinctively know that you must work together to seal your rift, and how to do it.
Sealing the time Rift: Bold is Up!
Each of you can attempt an initial DC 20 skill check (or sell me on an appropriate lore):
• Arcana to wield magical forces.
• Diplomacy to encourage fellow Pathfinders.
• Nature to control primal magic.
• Occultism to understand the Dimension of Time.
• Performance to fake it till you make it.
• Religion check to call upon the blessing of a deity.
• Survival to find supplemental spell components.
• Thievery check to detect weakness in time rift.
If you critically fail you remove a success point. You can make a secod attempt only after all PCs have gone, but the rift will fight back.
