I moved Blitz to the east but saw where one of the new baddies rushed to stab at blitz first. So is the map correct? Maybe I am on an old one. I cannot update via phone for some reason.

The map was correct. One of the enemies acted before the other two and closed before trying to stab Blitz. He missed badly.
Incidentally, my understanding of the trip special ability is that a successful bite attack is followed by rolling a trip attempt separately. Do you have some guidance that you use the same attack roll?

Nope you are correct. I normally include the trip roll with the bite but then got sidetracked since I was not sure if I had blitz in the right spot on the map and forgot to add trip.
