Already positioned for a flank, Tusk tries to repeat his former performance, hoping to up his personal tally.
After attacking he steps a bit to get out of the flank he is in.
| Merisiel the Pregen |
I'll leave you two boys with your playmate..I'll find another dance partner... Meri says as she tries to weave her way to get to the other threat.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
assuming 29 makes it.
She stalks up to the other foe and stabs it in the ribs.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 241d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Drawing one of his hammers, Goldur rushes in on his old legs. "You've met your match, boys!"

The dwarf's hammer batters down one foe (blue) in an instant.
The other (yellow) is readily overcome by other Pathfinders. The strike of just one would likely have been enough to drive the humanoid away. The combination of all three is more than fatal.
COMBAT OVER
The stairs are such that the raucous music of Lady Morilaeth’s revelry would have easily echoed down the stairway from chamber above, along with the screams of excited celebrants, had the party not already dispensed with the festivities and the revelers.
Although most of the dwarven items that once resided here have been destroyed, this laboratory still holds scrolls describing lost artistic techniques and valuable secrets of stonecutting and weaponsmithing. A dozen valuable dwarven texts can be found, along with a healer’s kit and 10 odd devices wrought of metal and glass—strange tools used by the recently-deceased torturers. Among the dwarven texts are those of inked by Torvic Scrathmane, now discarded and lying heaped in a pile of trash, fertilizer for the mushrooms.
Another set of texts if written in a decidedly-non-dwarven language.
In the far southeast room lies the remains of a once whimsical-looking humanoid sporting wildly colored gossamer wings.
Any PC may now attempt an additional DC 15 Heal check. If successful, you may open the spoiler below:
We are very close to wrapping up.
@ grimdog73 - I need your Org Play and PC # for credit and information for preparation of a chronicle. Please provide the requested info in the Recruitment thread.

Nature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Heal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Heal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
"Oh my... by the great Gozreh... 'tis a pixie, and... someone tortured it to death..." says Sarzuket somberly, beginning to cast hateful stares in the direction of the recently defeated torturers... the gnome then channels some of Gozreh's power into the room, excluding the torturers...
Channel for all, including pixie but excluding enemies: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Tusk Two-Blade
|
heal: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3
Once again after a cursory search, Tusk finds a comfortable spot and pulls out his whetstone, maintaining a constant high pitched scraping sound as a background - music to his ears. After cleaning the blade, of course. One must always clean the blade first.
| Merisiel the Pregen |
Oh...my.. Meri says as she realizes the blade she picked up might be the weapon used to kill the fey.
Can one of you boys break this? I don't want this used on another living being... she asks Tusk and Korum as she hands them the cold iron blade, clearly repulsed at the thought of her touching the weapon that did such a barbaric thing.
Tusk Two-Blade
|
Tusk looks at her like she's turned into a mushroom and takes the weapon.
"Break a perfectly good weapon. Not a chance."
Then he stuffs it into a safe (from Merisiel, at least he thinks) place.

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Heal: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Heal: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
”Aye,” Goldur says somberly, inspecting the body. ”Killed by a—“ He eyes the cold iron rapier in Meri’s hand and the look on her face. ”Well, it’s not important. What is important is bringing him with us so he might be buried by those who knew him.”
”And these,” he adds, picking up the papers, ”are probably worth tak— oh hells,” he mutters. ”They're written in Aklo.” He mumbles a spell and touches his lips. ”Now let me see…”
Casting comprehend languages.
He frowns deeply at the detailed descriptions of torture methods and concoctions used. ”Well these will no doubt be of use to the Society,” he concludes, folding up the papers and stowing them away. ”But these are best left undiscussed. Although, might I suggest not drinking anything we find in here.”
Feel free to open the spoiler, but Goldur won’t be reading the papers out loud.

Having salvaged the only thing of interest in the pile, Tusk is ready to move on. After giving everyone else a moment to catch up, but only a moment, Tusk opens the first door he comes to (as shown on the map by his icon).

Having salvaged the only thing of interest in the pile, Tusk is ready to move on. After giving everyone else a moment to catch up, but only a moment, Tusk opens the first door he comes to (as shown on the map by his icon).
The room beyond once served as living quarters, but contains nothing of interest.
Save for the chamber holding the giant ants and the prisoners that you had freed, the remainder of the Gallery of Wonders is now quiet and peaceful.
"The aid in healing that you provided earlier has restored my sight!" Lyrehawk informs Goldur. "It will be good to set eyes upon my friends among the Eagle Knights again."
As you depart with Lyrehawk and the others, you are greeted near the entrance, you are greeted by Torvic. He is grateful for the work you have done to clear this ancestral gallery, but he is eager to return to his home and spread word of his discovery. Once told, it will be little time before other dwarves arrive, eager to reclaim the Gallery of
Wonders. Eventually, because of the party’s discovery, dwarven craftsmen in the Five Kings Mountains are certain to rediscover some of the techniques of their lost master artisan.
Upon your return to Almas, Venture-Captain Brackett reports that word of your discovery has apparently already begun spreading through the Five Kings Moujntains and that the party reportedly enjoys a small bit of celebrity with the dwarves of there. Meanwhile, here in Almas, the rescue of Lyrehawk has brought goodwill as well. It turns out the Lyrehawks friends among the Andoren Eagle Knights in Almas are quite influential. The knights offer you all a lavish feast and gift you with ten +1 fey bane arrows. Brackett instructs you to enjoy your well-deserved fame, food, and fortunes. He notes, however, that it won't be long before the Society calls upon each of you again.
Primary: The PCs clear the Hall of Wonders of derro, nightmare creatures, and other threats. Success.
Secondary: The PCs rescue all three of the prisoners in and heal Lyrehawk’s blindness. Success.
PCs earn full prestige.
Adventure concluded. Thank you all for a fun table! I will report the table and post completed Chronicles within the next 24 hours or so.

Well...being in the good graces of dwarves is a very handy thing...especially if you need a weapon crafted...or where the best drinks are to be found. I think we need to celebrate..clear our minds of the fell things we ran into...first round is on Tusk... Meri says as playfully slaps the orc on the shoulder. She seems to be in a bit more pleasant state of mind.

"Food hey? alright... show me to the banquet hall!" says Sarzuket to the nearest Eagle Knight.
Korum of the Silver Eyed Wolf

"I'm not turning down a meal. Hey Tusk, what was yer final body count? I figure I should share mine with Sarz and Goldur, but I think I still might have ya beat."
Fey-Bane arrows you say? That might be a must buy in CORE. Need to have a lot more options and versatility. I'm not an archer, but I can always hand them off to one.
Ashtoret

Can I have these bolts instead of arrows, please...
))))
Tusk Two-Blade

Though Tusk keeps a count, I do not so...
Tusk quotes a number looking inordinately proud of himself.

He notes, however, that it won't be long before the Society calls upon each of you again.
"The Society can take its time if it likes. I certainly won't be rushing them."
After bidding a fond farewell to his new allies, with all the appropriate hopes that they'll meet again, Goldur returns home. He sits at his desk and pulls out parchment and quill, determined to write while the memories are fresh in his mind. Let's see... The Lost Gallery? Forgotten Treasures? No, those won't do. He thinks back on the adventure they had together. It was a lost gallery, for sure, but its creator had had little enough to his name. Only now would such lost crafts be appreciated to their fullest.
He dipped his quill and wrote his title across the top of the page. The Beggar's Pearl.

Tusk waits impatiently back at the lodge, continually pestering the leadership for a new mission.
